In this very first episode of My Migration Story series, 24-year-old Omolara Akintayo told Damilare Okunola how she traveled to Libya in 2017 in search of greener pastures as her family was lavishing in poverty, but she got more than she bargained for.
She spent 14 days on her way to the North African country, and watched as her friends were molested and assaulted by their slave masters.
"If I knew it was going to be like that, I would not have traveled. I honestly regret traveling to Libya," Omolara told Legit.ng's Damilare Okunola.

@@pacorabanne9297 nonsense. Arabs started selling Africans as slaves 700 years ago when Islam came to Africa and have never stopped. You should know your history of Africa before you talk

This isn't spreading awareness at all there's a channel on KZread similar to this but from Kenya.. they help and support by posting the individuals details in the description box including the account details. I've personally sent money from the UK to these people in Kenya. I've NEVER been to Africa before but I'm so touched by these stories. If you want to spread awareness post their details in the description box. No point interviewing them for story sake KMT!!!

Hello Damilola, please regarding all your interview with the Libya Returnee thousands of people want to support these people around the world why not put their bank account Nr and their personal number to enable those people who want to help them......please always try and read your tube comments.......you will ask them what type of work or business they will like to do....but you will never put their bank account or contact no......So why interviewing them when you dont want people to help them.
