Okay, so recovery from the surgery last September was normal as far as the surgery went but the calcium lows have been a pain in the behind!

    Hope this helps to give a bit of an idea of how calcium homeostasis is important and how periods can cause anaemia. Will update after my next hospital appointment.

    I'm guessing they didn't offer you the calcium tablets because they were more expensive and they thought you were doing ok with the original medication? I'm currently taking laxido which is ostensibly orange flavour but honestly tastes like wallpaper paste (or at least how I imagine wall paper paste would taste) so I drink it dissolved in orangeade which makes it swallowable. I'm really enjoying this series about MEN1, it's so informative. I know MEN1is never going to be a viral topic but it is so useful for those of us with experience of it or who know someone who has it. Thank you.
