MY MARRIAGE BROKE AFTER 30 BITTER YEARS. I've learnt that how you deal with pain is all about you

Rev-Dr Penny Njoroge Hsc is a mental health expert. She knows what it is to suffer from depression and losing the will to live 😥😥
Her marriage ended after 30 bitter years. But her pain didn’t stop her from achieving what she truly loved: education!
She joined college at the age of 56 in the US. At 76 years, she has a PHD in psychiatry.
Her message is clear: they may have hurt you but how you react to the pain is all about you🥰🥰🥰😥
Choose TO LOVE YOU!

Take heart, you are sooo young. Please believe us who have seen more sunrises. There’s never a time to give up, and more importantly, with every sunrise, you have a chance to change the trajectory of your life. Pray that Hod to deman your steps, and slowly change one thing at a time, as small as waking up early and getting ready and making your bed…you might not have any plans but your showing Hod that at the mention of one word if He changed your life, you would be ready and responsible to nurture and spread that blessing. I am speaking at 29 but who is God? I got married. Got a good job and hoping to start school next semester. At your age I was in jail. Don’t give up Njeri

There is one thing Dr. penny said and I've always known to be true.. if you have good parents and they tell you don't marry someone please don't marry that person. I've studied so many women in my life who had ok parents, and they refused to heed to their parents' warning/advise. Some of these women are now dead.. Kuna pahali wazazi uona mbali. Thanks dr.penny for sharing your story. Indeed the roots of toxic/abusive marriages have been in Kenya for so long!

Am 21 yrs old ... Monica am a big fan of metha 😊..what was striking for me from Rev Dr penny is whatever you may have lost or taken away by the devil will surely be repaid heavily by God , all the sacrifices our siblings do for us especially firstborns is worth n God will pay it n lastly is that she acknowledges that life is too short n we are here for a while so we shouldn't be ungrateful for whatever reason ❤❤❤❤

I have learned that when marriage is not working, mother in law should not demand my kid ati alee coz am still alive and I am their mother. So, if her son is a dictator/narcissist in the marriage, let me go with the kid's later, i myself will reconnect them to their dad lakini si hii ufala ati watoto niletewe nitalea it's a BIG NO.

Very inspirational. I remember its just recently a certain priest was reprimanding women in either Bungoma or Kakamega, one of those two, telling them that they shouldn't complain about their husbands coz they've got 6 more chances to marry and i protested. Why then should we have Holy Matrimony if that's the case? I feel as much as both genders may go through abuse, the society is to blame. This is why; when men cheat, they are validated mostly quoting the bible that David n Solomon had many wives but when a woman wants to leave the same man she is said to be foolish and demishing her own home. Therefore, can we stop with the double standards and solve this problem before the marriage institution becomes extinct. That phrase "GOD HATES DIVORCE" has caused many to endure hell in their marriages silently coz their is no where to run to.
