She is very shy and has a lot of anxiety so she is much more comfortable when with her members. But to challange herself and get out of that safety zone was very brave of her and the best thing she could have done for herself and her career

Wheein gave us a lot of good songs this year, gotta be thankful for that. I think Hwasa doesn't dye her hair very often now because of her poor hair health. Except for the 'Melting' one, I personally don't really like bright colours for her hair(but of course she'd make it work anyway), so I'm not really complaining with the black hair. Agree with the rest of your opinions😊

The more Wheein we get the better as long as our puppy is happy and healthy. And Hwasas hair... long hair Hwasa for me is dark hair Hwasa, so black, brown or something like that. I don't think the blond hairs she had many moons ago were a good fit for her. Short hair Hwasa is a completely different animal. When she had short hair in the first few years bright colors looked really good on her.

Yes Hwasa suits dark hair best, maybe a dark blue or dark purple too but I did not like hwr blond & think she looks most attractive with dark hair.

moonbyul didn't really improve that much, her confidence did, she's found her sound and she's a lot more comfortable performing because she's happy with her solo work, she already sang and danced very well before

Like if I'm not confident in myself even though I'm capable I still can't give my 100.% Plus yeah I think she found another type of sound she excells at with Lunatic, Citt and Comma which also makes her shine on stage.

You can see her figuratively bouncing off the walls during all the behind the scenes (in both solo, unit, and group videos), and she's really been an energiser bunny in 2nd half of 2022 and this year. 🤣🥰🥰 Edit to add what I meant by being in KAG helping her in her performance: KAG helped her with her form and bodu flexibility because she's learning how to take care of her body with all the stretches and eye-leg coordination trainings.

The amount solo activity WheeIn's been doing this past year or so is mind boggling and to think that she's been active as a solo artist since 2018 but never did she flourish like this. Honestly, the thing with MAMAMOO is that they grow every year and keep getting better. Moonbyul's growth lately has been very evident.

imagine doing a performance with live vocals (stabilize vocals too), great at dancing, actually enjoys the performance, having an amazing stage presence, hella good in rapping AND making catchy songs only mamamoo

also not to mention about solar's solarsido has been continually uploads vid a week! like its amazes me so much how she always manage to appear here and there and always full of energy. also as a wheein biased since 2015, it truly is a blessing now wheein is really spreading her wings freely. after watching mycon in jakarta, i noticed mamamoo never really change (in a good way), they're the still the same talented and goofy mamamoo who enjoy performing with each other so much.

I have definitely noticed that Moonbyul has improved her singing, and I think that's amazing, because she has such a good voice

I agree with all these! You're very observant! As a moomoo, I love all the girls equally of course. But I've been a moomoo for a while and have got to see Moonbyul grow more confident and skilled in her voice and career. I can't talk about her story much because it makes me emotional but when she won Second world, I was in literal tears. I'm so proud of her!! Also, Solar needs to start producing bottles of her energy and selling it!!

When I first became a moo I remember thinking "Oh nooo, I hope she isn't doing all of these to please the fans or to keep her group on the public eye. She must be so tired and burnt out 😔😔😔" But now knowing I know that my thoughts were partially incorrect. Solar having a lot of schedules obviously helps her solo career as well as her group and she must be tired at times but I know now that she's the kind of person who can't sit still for too long. I mean she is a woman in her 30s so I know she knows her limits. I'm just here for the ride ready to consume whatever she produces for us But yeah sometimes I look back at what she did this year vs what I did and all I feel is SHAME

Oh my thank you!😳💖 I do these mosty for the 2 reasons 1) this is what my editing skills allow me to create. I try to better them so I can do cool edits but it's hard 😭 2) I love having convos about Mamamoo. A site like KZread doesn't really have a place for that even tho most of the content we watch about Mmm is uploaded here. So I do these vids and hope for comments to be filled with other Moos' opinions cause I know some of us only use KZread as our social media. 🌱Either way thank you! 1.- That is the reason why they were lebeled as Monster Rookie back in 2015 and BelisaMo or Belive and listen to Mamamo since 2016. 2.-Moonbyul gain more confidence since her solo debut, as an old Moomoo I belive she still have so much more potential ahead. Second World just probe us this. 3.-On a earliest Yongkong Byulkong live (2016-2017) when asking MoonbyulE what she thinks Solar do on her apartment with her freetime she says something about Solar always cleaning dog's furr (meaning she always have to be doing something). Also Solar was the first Mamamoo member to do a solo concert (2016) for her cover solo project Solar Emotions (she endup inviting all members) just days before a Mamamoo's comeback. So, yeah, she is pretty much a Energy Pill, even her own members are like: no way I'm doing that much. 4.- Wheein was already know as a OST and Ballad Queen before she left RBW, and now that she has a hold of her career she is defently "soaring high". That's just lovely. 5.-Now, black color wasn't Hwasa signature when she debut and she was know as the "Colorful one" because of her hair color choice, as you saw. I think they all are in a "Healin time" for their scalp; Solar whose the one with least hair color change suffered for a close to balding time and now she is taking proper care, I think Hwasa will wait more time before doing something so hurtfull and hair damaging . Or just go with a wig. Happy to have a Moomoo like you! Cheers!!

I love the fact that you described Wheein's situation as "soaring high" cause you know; soar I didn't know Hwasa was known as the colorful one that's new info to me :O Maybe black is her signature color to me only because when someone says Hwasa I think of her with black hair. No matter what her health comes first tho so more hair colors is just a not-so-important whish of mine. She looks good with pretty much anything

It's true that Moonbyul's vocals improved lately, but it's not like she couldn't sing before. Even though she only has rap and dance positions as mamamoo member, originally she auditioned for vocal position, but after hearing other members' vocal skills she decided to train more for rap position

I think it is safe to say that Solar is a lowkey (prob highkey), workaholic. What I mean by that, is she feel the happiest while working. I can relate to that, because rn I didnt want to stop working at all, even sometimes holiday is meaningless to me. The happiest moment is when I achieve something or done well in work. I wasn't like this before... Perhaps some people experience this too.. I still take enough rest, btw..

absolutely agree, stan the hardest working group, i would love to see hwasa with bright blue teal or green or even pink hair, her straight black is so iconic i see other idols rocking the straight black bob and i think of hwasa

Hwasa's orange hair is still my favorite look for her. I do love the deep blue she had and the blonde looks so good on her. Tbh my favorite looks from her are with her hair short.

These are my queens! And personally I love Hwasa with the long wavy black hair. Regardless she looks good in any style.

I am still appalled at Solar's energy btw. That's a topic I won't shut up about. Like how does she do it????!?! Dude, Moonbyul really is a singer, she just got assigned to be the main rapper of Mamamoo, but she doesn’t really like rapping. That’s why she started showcasing her singing voice in the later songs of Mamamoo (after they were given freedom to write their own songs) and on her own albums.

I think it was after Honey promotions were over And Moos were thinking she can finally rest now 😄😄😄 Then we found out that she was going to star in a musical and also be a judge for a weekly show She knows no rest

Since debut moonbyul can really dance well. She is the performer of the group eversince. Her vocals is the one that is improving. In fact she choreograph their dance in their early years

I also want Hwasa to try diff hair colors but I think she doesn't do it because she dyed her hair black and as far as I know if she bleached her hair again her hair will be damage, A fan also told her to try purple or Ash ones in a fancall and Hwasa said that she also wants that but she doesn't want ger hair to be so damaged so she remained black haired.

for the 2nd one, it's not that Moonbyul improved her singing. she was already a great singer, she just got more confident in her skills. also, Hwasa's orange hair era was ICONIC

The reason why Hwasa is often seen with black hair is because her seasonal colour is dark autumn and black/dark coloured hair balances out her intense features. Also, she loves wearing dark/bright red lipstick and it also helps with the balancing effect.

She is and was (she choreographed Piano Man etc) but idk I feel like she's more confident in her moves nowadays. Looking at the footage from the concert for example, I don't remember her shaking this much ass before 😭 or at least not as confidently which you know, makes me think she is feeling more confident in her abilites. Both singing and dancing

Moonbyul was originallg trained as vocalist and was good but before they debut, one of the four member has to be full time rapper so Moonbyul has went the route of a rapper and learned how to rap. Hwasa does rap a little as well.

Blue hair Wheein was gorgeous, but Platinum hair Wheein was even hotter.

My fav hair color for Hwasa was Blue, she slayed that colorrr. And ofc when she had white highlights. Also, Moonbyul could always sing! I think she was supposed to be a vocalist at first but she had to take the rapper role. I would feel a little sad seeing her stand there while everyone else was belting 😭 cuz she can belt too, just not as high as the rest of the girls. I love when they all harmonize together too. I've been on an Immortal Songs spree recently too lmao

I agree w the solar one. But i think she its also bc she *loves* her job sm, and she has a genuine passion for singing so thats why she doesnt have that much burnout after being in this industry for so long. Also maybe she has a really great support system that helps her through hard times that she doesn’t want to show to the fans

Agree with all except Hwasa’s hair. The red hair during Maria was iconic but there were some photos/videos where you could see it was horrifically damaged. I don’t think her hair withstands damage well, and that’s why she has to cut it chin-length so frequently. Best to just keep it natural

While I do think there's an improvement in Moonbyul's vocal compared to like, 5 years ago, I think it's her newfound confidence that truly makes her shine now. Imo, she's always been very good at singing, it's just that she's insecure with her skill. As for Hwasa, she does want to try more hair color! But if you watch SMN's Christmas special with Mamamoo, she said a lot of people think black hair suits her best, which is why she keeps it black for so long. Personally, though, I love her WF/ILMB era hair. The color suits her well.

I also think hwasa would look bomb in other hair colours, specially platinum blonde. Other idols with paler skin tone look totally whitewashed in blonde but hwasa's tanned skin will ✨ shine✨ in lighter hair colours.

She had like a proper blonde for Ahh Oop and I kinda want her to have that hair again. They obviously didn't have the best styling in the past so I feel like her hair from that time didn't get an opportunity to shine truly. Platinum blonde too but I suppose that'll be really harsh on her hair and scalp... but yeah I'd like to see how that color would compliment her skin and features.

And solarsido 🤣 I think is because she eats and sleeps well

Hwasa herself said in the past that her hair gets damaged very easily and that's why she has never been able to grow her hair long, because every time she dyes it, it gets damaged a lot and she has to cut it a lot. Also, many idols have expressed how painful it is to get a bright hair tones, especially since you have to bleach your hair and it's painful, especially for those who have very sensitive skin like Hwasa. so tbh, i don't really care if hwasa doesn't dye her hair, to me she looks the best when she had her natural hair color.

Yeah i didn't know about her saying this but after knowing this it makes sense why she kept her hair black for long.

About Wheein, it wasn't the company, she didn't want to work solo because her panic disorder. When she did her solo debut, RBW and Wheein was ready to promote, but she couldn't do it, because of that problem.

Moonbyul can really sing, she's not confident enough to sing the vocal parts in selfish years ago. She auditioned for a vocal part, but was forced to be a rapper since she isn't as "good" as the other members. She became more confident now

I think the opinion of Wheein is common very one sided. Because she had mental health issues that also held her back. You can't blame everything on the company because the other members were active as hell and all over the place doing anything that they wanted to do.

Obviously attributing everything to rbw only would be an oversimplification but Wheein herself said how she needed to a new environment in the Wavve documentary while talking about her switch to The L1ve. Also it is confirmed that rbw has rejected offers and opportunities without informing Mamamoo. Best example is Hwasa and the Showterview, how she didn't know she got offered to be on an episode but rbw rejected it before she knew it. And lastly, a company should protect their artists. Through their career all of them got hate and smear campaigns and misinformation thrown at them. What did rbw do? Nothing. If anything it was the girls themselves that had to take action to stop the hate and damage that was happening towards their career. (Moonsun themselves suing the malicious commentators and those who created false-news). Mental health is obviously way more complex than that and affects and is affected by more than your work life but for sure Wheein wasn't benefiting from the environment rbw created. Putting all of this aside, do you really rhink THE Wheein with her honey vocals didn't get a bunch of OSTs offerings before this year? Because the amount of OSTs she did this year vs the rest of her entire career is equal. Yeah TheL1ve has different connections than rbw but I wasn't only talking about her mental health either. Similar to OSTs she also had her first solo stage in a festival under TheL1ve. Opened up her KZread channel, before that she was quite private. Her promotions for Whee were ten times better than whatever rbw offered for Moonsun's comebacks this year. I can go on but I'm a fan and the only way I can view Wheein and her acitivites in a year is through her job as an idol. Idk what goes in ber private life and I shouldn't know that. So yeah, based on the info I have, Wheein in rbw vs Wheein in TheL1ve shows me a clear improvemt in her work, happiness and even popularity. Obviously I can only speak about that, idk what else was going on in her private life in thw previous years because again, it's her private life. I commented on what I could observe. Also just because the other members were more active and seemingly ok doesn't mean Wheein should've accepted her own suffering. I mean she didn't do so good for her. And again, it's not like the other 3 didn't lose a lot because of rbw. They did. The way guilty pleasure's promotions were non-existent. How they didn't manage to capitalize on Mamamoo's success after 2019. How just recently we learned more about the lack of communication happening between rbw and the fans and the company itself. These still damage the idol, maybe not though their mental health (thankfully) but it still stops them from being as successful as they could've been. Sorry for the long reply. I agree with you, nothing in life happens or exists for 1 single reason but Wheein is an idol and the only connection I have with her is me being a stan of her. And why do you think wheein's mental health deteriorated???Bcz Rbw didn't do anything for her after the incident with her father,she had to reveal things she's never wanted to.And there are also instances of Rbw staff calling her piG.Anyways she is very happy now,that's all that matters

@@mo_of_fin Fair enough. I think the Pandamic killed MMM's 2019 momment the most. It's so unfortunate. Travel should have been held for 2022. It's sooooo good. I hear the promotions point a lot. I'm not Korean so I would love to know what is good promotions or how many is enough?

@msnjs1939 you're right, Mamamoo had a great momentum going after 2019 but pandemic essentially stopped everything planned. Idk if you know this but Mamamoo were planning on going on world tour in 2019, explains why they were speaking more English and might be the reason behing Yong's Solarsido Yonglish lesson vids. There was also the possibility of them performing in Coachella, according to the interviews in the Wavve documentary. Now, I only properly stan Mamamoo so I don't know every single detail of other groups promotions but here are a few things rbw is lacking while other companies are doing somewhat better. (Also, there is no good company in Kpop, every single one of them fail at one area). Using Tiktok. Tiktok became the most populat social media in last few years and it's built on songs that go viral that create trends. There have been plenty of kpop and no kpop songs and artists that blew up thanks to that app. So what does rbw do? They refuse to use it and instead post a bunch of youtube shorts for Illella. Kmoos even asked Mamamoo why their tiktok account wasn't bein used during a fansing and the girls obviously didn't know anything about that, its not their job, but asked their managers that were standing by the side. The managers promised to have the shorts they posted on youtube to be posted on tiktok as well but they didn't, so they straight up lied to us and Mmm. This is a big deal because, again, tiktok creates viral songs and music shows have a criteria called social media that assess tiktok as well as a few other social media so it also actively prevents us from getting them a win. Radio shows are another essential way to make a song be more well known. Even tho radio isn't as popular as before you probably know they still control a lot of the industry and have a lot of power behind closed doors. If Mamamoo guests on these shows they also get to explain the creation of the album and have their songs play. KZread shows. Newer generations are watching KZread more than TV. You must've seen the countless KZread shows that popped up in recent years. And kpop idols go to these to promote their album. Mamamoo appeared in a few of them for Illella but these weren't the ones that appeal to a wider audience in the same way What's In My Bag, Song Associations etc are. For example Wheein went to a few of them for her promo and got millions of views to her name in total thanks to them. A lot of western media companies created a Korea or Kpop related branch in their company. If Mamamoo wants to be more well known internationally rbw should consider sending Mmm to those. Lastly rbw should be ready to branch out. Send them to places where a new audience will meet them. If they keep sending the girls to the same few places as promo it won't gain them new eyes and ears. And they should obviously have English subtitles. Ah I wrote a lot again, sorry I guess I'm passionate. Overall, I think a good promo is one that catches the attention of the general public. One that appeals to the old, established and powerful facets in the music industry such as radio or long running tv shows but also qttmepts to use the newer platforms such as KZread shows and social medias such as tiktok to achice virality. For a more international audience, easily accesible English translation is a must and shows that originate or have a large international audience is one of the ways to find new fans. Obviously all of these have to be consistent and constantly improving and adjusting to what's popular ajd viral. Rbw is stuck on what they think they know from the past and with each comeback they are bothering to do even less than before. I'm also not Korean so I might've oversimplified or wrongly interpet some stuff

Moste important than that is: she needs a little volume on the head top 😭 I wish her hairdo designer notice this soon. Wheein releasing tons of song after leaving RBW is undeniable fact. FACT fact. Also agree with Byul's confidence improvement. G999 is my fav song from her so far!!!! Yong is robot, she said it herself. But I believe she has 4 or 5 clones, at least.

I would love if they had colourful hair again but their hair is literally fried 😢😢😢 i remeber solar had to cut her hair super short because her hair was literally falling out from the overuse of bleach

I don’t think bright colours would suit Hwasa, she has a mature sexy aura the bright colours are too childish. But she does look great in burgundy and honey blonde

Yes and yes (well, there are no main dancers in Mmm), you are correct. But we know she took vocal lessons and actually made an effort to show her voice which I think led to a clear improvement. Like I think we should appreciate that... Your 1st sentence about Solar is so dramatic it made me chuckle but also...yeah you're right 🤣

Okay Wheein was never held back. You do know she was highly requested and OST queen in 2016-2018. She literally has a lot of music out there. This year is just the first time she literally been out on her own promoting it herself. Usually she come out with music and that's it. Wheein has anxiety and is more private then the other members. She preferred to lay low. Her changing companies, as a soloists, was her own decision. She wanted to change. She is growing as a person and artist. RBW is the only company that gave these girls a chance. Hell the company put them #1 priority for 7 years. If anything rbw got Wheein out her she'll and helped her grow and venture out.

Maybe I was a bit short with my explanation for that. I assume you've been a Moo longer than me. As I said at the start I've been familiar with Mamamoo since the end of 2021 and for before that I could only look back. So I only got to see the bad treatment of rbw towards Mmm as it was happening. I wasn't there when Mmm was their number 1 priority. So maybe my opinion on that is unfair as a result. Correct me if I'm wrong but previous to 2021 Wheein only had Shadow, With My Tears and Shine on You (so 3) as OSTs. Afaik I Wish and Ice Cream Love were under TheL1ve. After that You, you came and then all of the stuff in 2022 which were also under the L1ve. And she had 6 OSTs under theL1ve and she just recently passed her 1 year anniversary with them. So idk how she didn't have more OSTs under rbw if she was this requested..? Maybe she got the offers and rejected them idk, I've never heard anything about that. This was my first thought process. Secondly yeah I know she deals with anxiety and that obviously explains some of her behavior but I meant "being held back" both mentally and career-wise. I wrote this cause of her comment about wanting a change in the environment. Even if rbw was a perfectly ok company to work under and wasn't actively causing issues, sometimes 2 people, 2 things, 2 entities just don't match and vibe you know. Even if it wasn't the fault of the company which I know rbw wasn't the only reason, she is more than just her career after all, for me as her fan who communicates and witness her through her career, at least on her professional life rbw wasn't the right place. So even if it was unintentionally rbw was holding her back in that regard if that makes sense. She didn't wanna be in that company so she switched. Lastly, she was the most private member but honestly I think that title goes to Hwasa now. She opened hee youtube channel where she vlogs and does activites and we got to see her daily life. This also happened under TheL1ve. She has been a guest on many many tv and radio and youtube shows. Under rbw she had very few individual acitivites even tho she debuted as a solo artist under them. Again, I know it was probably her mentality at the time that lead to this and she took the proper steps to feel better, thus her changing companies was one of them. I hope I made sense. I didn't wanna comment on her personal life and speculate on what's going on there so I only focused on her profesional life since that's the only thing I could and should comment on.

​@@mo_of_fin I totally agree with you. And to the original commentor, RBW hasn't been prioritising MMM since 2018 to be honest. If you'd been following them and their movements and promotions, you'd know. 😅 Yes MMM has lots of freedom in everything they do, but that doesn't mean RBW has been doing MMM right.

exactly, people keep telling wheein was held back, but she had the most Collab, ost, even first music bank win for Anymore. Yes, it was lesser than now but it was highest

I love Hwasa in different hair color, but please RBW no more platinum blonde... Her warm skintone clashed awfully. I loved her with both blue (Aze Gag/Purple era) and orange (You're the best/Melting era)

I assume you mean the platinum blonde from Ahh Oop era? No one really talks about that hair style but I think because generally people don't like it. A part of me wishes she went platinum again to see how it would be styled currently but I also learnt that she has a sensitive scalp and hair and takes extra care in general when it comes to her hair-health so I don't think it'd be a wise thing to wish 😅
