Night Vision and Suppressor's are game changers. It puts a person 2 steps ahead of most civilian groups.

Lol, 90% of civilians now have at least some form of night vision, to get ahead of civilians. You actually have to buy thermal imaging

@@Thousand_yard_King lol thats crack baby talk, i think less then 1% of civilians own true pvs14 type of night vision , or even older gen night vision. ask someone who is not in the tactical gear bubble, n they will call you crazy, and laugh at you.
Definitely a luxury item, but I usually bring my tripod seat. Its small, light weight, quick set up and take down, plus it gets my ass off the ground. Cheers.
Agree with all your items, although I would consider NV as mandatory if you have them.
A road or marine flare is nice when you absolutely have to get a fire going.
The tripwire idea is great. My favorite luxury items are gatorade/coffee packets for water, and the pathfinder bottle cookset and leather gloves for when there is a fire
Kevlar cord. Great for trip wires, traps, shelter building, fish nets, etc. Get some!
Hey hey PA. Love your vids. Great knowledge as always. I too, keep pillows in my sleep kits for both my backpacks (me + 1). Idk if yours was just partially aired or not cause it looks rather big. I personally use the Klymit Luxe Pillow. Weighs 6.4oz, nice size, and can be inflated the same way you inflate sleeping pads (stuff sack airbag thing). About the 2/3 the size of a 1L essentia bottle. Tripwires are always worth it. Candles always worth it. Im too poor for the PVS-14 Gen 3+ i want to buy. :( Power packs I use are Nitecore NB10000 Gen 1. cheap at $60. stores 10000mAh (enough to charge two S23 phones fully). weighs only 5.3 oz. Another "luxury" item to consider possibly for a bugout would be the edible wild plant playing cards from My Patriot Supply. You can play games with them, but also figure out what plants in your area are forageable. lastly, is extra tent stakes and a tarp for each bag. a 10x10 does wonders for shelter construction. cheers!
Security while sleeping. I carry bells and fishing lines but I set mine up about waist high. This way an animal won't set them off. I carry TeaCup candles, a whole pack. Using them for heat, light, cooking, starting a fire, purification of water ect. I doe carry what I call a luxury item and that is a "nesting pot" packed with food and drink mix and mine has a VERY small burner that takes whatever is combustible. I say " luxury " because it does weigh a few pounds and is bulky.
I carry a uco candle lantern with a couple extra candles to me it’s worth the weight for the comfort and heat use alone
GOOD, down-to-earth, information as always! THANK YOU for what you do! Well done! Carry on...
Nvgs is critical gear for me, but I guess for just camping, then it's a luxury item, maybe. Excellent video keeps me improving my own gear.
Candles are a nice emergency backup. I like the exotac nano candles since they are short which is nice if you need to put it under wet tinder to dry it out.
Blow up pillows work great as well, especially for storage. You can use things you find in the wilderness for a trip wire alarm system.
On the candle: I carry an 8 hour tea candle for that exact purpose. They're cheap and take up no room in my pack. I also carry several 4 hour regular tea candles for fire starters in wet conditions. Have been real deal makers for drying out wet wood fires.
Totally agree with all that. Except the trip wires. They extend your footprint and alert others of your presence. I prefer concealment and modification of the access points. This will divert, funnel or alert you to the noise being made. Also regarding the candle for fire lighting, the joke party ones that can't be put out are cheap and effective. Just cut off a piece light and bury it in the tinder.

Finally, I’ve carried those trick candles for years and I’ve never seen or heard anyone do the same. They are a great fire extender, take up no space and cheap.
Haha yea, in Fl we need bug nets and a fan. BTW I got the FTT Chest rig on your recommendation it is awesome.

Glad you enjoy it! It's a very awesome piece of gear!
Some of my luxury items are a small pillow and several Snickers bars which can be used for bartering, bribery or rewards to team members.
Nice list. The only argument I might have is treating electronics as disposable. My plan is to use only rechargeable and my major devices all use the same battery so I don't have to carry a bunch of spares. With a battery bank, small solar panel and my electronics support kit I can keep all of my devices running. Admittedly it might be a little heavier but will last me longer than disposable batteries. Plus I have a wider range of devices I can support if needed. I can't argue against the candle for warmth but I do carry a fire wand to use like a candle for fire starting instead. It gets to hot to carry a candle where I'm at reliably.
For me, if I don’t have some kind of Pillow, I ain’t Leaving!
Great advice. Thanks for the work that you do !
My luxuries is an inflatable pillow, couple pocket books a solar battery and a GPS.
12 hr candles. A bit pricey. I can buy tea light candles 1 inch high lasts 4 hrs. Cheap as chips take a ckall glass jar for them perfect light tent heating fire starting. Or citronella candles. Old boot polish tins are good for candles too.
Great video. All that stuff makes sense to me
I don't consider binoculars as a luxury item, but an absolute necessity. The goal of bugging out is to stay hidden, and you cannot do that without being able to spot incoming searchers. Binos are best for this, far better than your rifle scope - your arms won't tire. Peace.
Can't agree more, my bnvd's are a game changer and also all round fun!

Would you recommend duals over a single pvs14?
@PreparedAirman
4 ай бұрын
I would recommend dual tube NV over single if you can afford it. I specifically wouldn't recommend dual pvs14s due to the weight and size. I chose to do it because I like to film through one for KZread. They are easy to split apart compared to other models.
didn't see this coming I totally thought you were gonna pull out chocolate covered Oreos bruh
My luxury items are gum, Mints, Toothbrush and toothpaste, in inflatable pillow, antacids when that food that you ate earlier doesn't agree with you.
