It's expensive, but it's worth it. I love the view from your balcony, looks beautiful despite it not being high in the sky. Thanks for sharing Tembie 👍🏾
This is a great video, really helpful. Cheers
Wow; with a view like that, ready furnished apartment, a gym, swimming pool, and sauna included in the cost of the rent, and cafes and eateries within walking distance, I'd have to say $420 a week is worth it. Of course, the cost would be cheaper for a working couple to split than someone single. Thanks for sharing.
This is a great apartment. I have owned my own home for nearly 20 years, but used to have an apartment in the viaduct before that. It was fully furnished like yours, modern with a carpark and that cost $350pw, so $420pw 20 years later seems very reasonable.

i'm from auckland that apartment for $420 is a steal. i haven't seen one as nice as that and as nicely furnished for that price point. usually its a very makeshift studio/1 bedroom new build.

Hi Princess Adaora, do you have any advice for newbie looking to get a studio apartment in Auckland?
Looks amazing for $420!!
Hello sis I enjoyed this video 💯 I live in Chicago Illinois in the USA. The cost of living over there is different from what it is over here so I don't know if it is worth it or not. But I do know an apartment like that, that is fully furnished will be in a better area like up north or the South loop in Chicago (I wouldn't be able to afford it) just happened like that would be about 1,600 a month including amenities. What brought me to this channel is I always thought about visiting New Zealand it's actually second on my list and I was conversing with a young lady I met today via Facebook who lived in Auckland. I'm about to watch the video you posted about " your horrible apartment". It's good to see that you are moving on to bigger and better much blessings to you for the New Year may it be prosperous 🥰

How did you find the apartment?
Hi Tembie, I’m a student at University of Auckland and moving to Auckland in a few months. Could you give me the name of the apartment and how far it would be to commute to University Of Auckland as it will make my accommodation a lot easier to find. Would really appreciate your reply.
beautiful thanks

You’re welcome ☺️
I think that was money well spent. I'm currently seeing furnished 1 bedrooms for about that price in Palmy and they're a rip off. Old furniture, not even enough space for a proper fridge, ridiculous. Considering what yours came with, a pool, gym, security system and being central, I'd say you nabbed a pretty good deal. 👍🏾

I mean it is expensive but it sure looks plush and comfy. I was a renting a two bedroom in greymouth for $160 but the house was always trying to kill me. Asbestos in the roof and it had a Madd sketchy staircase with 13 stairs. I guess you get what you pay for. Now I rent a small room in a 3 bedroom small appartment for 180 in central nelson. I like it but yea no out door area not even a balcony. You might like the south island. I do but it's pretty strange too people are real country and friendly but sometimes cloak and dagger. I want to move to Otago, Queenstown and Duneedin are cool

Yeah it was definitely a comfortable place to stay in while I was there and you're right - you do sometimes get what you paid for and the result of that can be some pretty shoddy houses. And Queenstown and Dunedin are cool places and I hope you'll be able to make it a reality

I'm curious to find out why apartment rent is charged per week rather than monthly in NZ? I live in Shanghai, China and pay monthly.
@Tembie483

I don't know why they charge them weekly. It was an adjustment for me to make aswell because I was used to England, which charges rent monthly
Hi i am also planning to move to Auckland. Could you suggest me which website is suitable for searching Rentals houses for students or in general. Like yours. Thanks 😊

Thank you for the information. Well appreciate.
And another thing that you have didn't even look real to me. Everything looks so modern compared for what it looks like here in Chicago. You say you are moving to some place quieter? Where you live seems extremely strong compared to where I live.
Can you pay monthly?
