I've seen the clothes. They appear to be clothes designed for stay at home moms who like bright, outrageous prints. The quality is dubious. You could probably find similar or better quality items at Walmart or Target for less money. These are not clothes for working professionals who are looking to advance their careers.

Omg, you seem like such a good, well meaning person. Awful that they won't take the stuff back. Sorry that you are in this situation. It doesn't sound like a terrific company or owners. I don't think the owners really care how much any consultants sell. They make their money off the consultants. The consultants are the real customers of Lularoe. And then they pull the head game on the consultants telling them if it's not working out, it's always the consultant's fault. It's not always the consultant's fault. You can tell when you go into a periscope and most of the shoppers are other consultants that it's just a big circle jerk. The consultants are just recirculating each other's money. Good luck to you. Don't beat yourself up. You're right about learning valuable lessons.

+Elizabeth Frantes you provide good insight. I think when people start to see the true nature of the Lularoe business model, they start doubting themselves. This doubt often negatively impacts other parts of their lives as well. Then to hear that you aren't working hard enough, or you aren't creative enough and/or you just don't have the entrepreneur spirit makes it worse. This whole MLM situation has very little to do with true legit businesses practices and ability, its textbook sociological phenomenon that is simply not viable (especially long-term.) There are reasons why the MLM phenomenon is so damaging and still exists as much today as it ever has. Your failure with Lularoe says nothing about your ability in business. In fact, those who failed with Lularoe will most likely be much better business-owners if given a legit opportunity. Keep making videos that expose the true nature of Lularoe.

I ended up closing up shop due to many of the issues you listed. When all was said and done and I liquidated everything I had, I only came out about $3-4k ahead, which was not worth all of the 12+ hour days I had sank into the business for more than 8 months. This business claims it cares about its consultants, but they don't. They like you until you have a complaint or problem and then react by telling you to be the solution. I was literally kicked out of one of my upline groups because I dared to bring up something negative that was happening. Not a supportive company at all.

It sounds as if the company is all about the money they make and not about fixing the product. Sounds like you all are working for the company and not yourselves as they have rules for you! I've seen countless women complain that although the leggings are really soft, the ones they order have come with holes or the seaming is really screwed up, especially with prints. Another thing that irritates me is when people add me to a facebook party, without asking me first. How rude and presumptuous! Don't just add me to your group because you're hoping to get free product or make a profit, however it works. I'm a friend of yours, not a friggin customer. If I want your product, I'll ask you about it.

Running a business is hard work! Running a very successful business is very hard work. The founders of Lularoa, the upper level executives and a very small percentage of consultants are going to make real money. This company will implode because of poor Lularoa policies and decisions. Most of the consultants don't seem to understand how to run a business, marketing or sales. When you start a business you will need to work non stop for years and years to be successful. I can't believe that people by the bullshit like earn a full time salary working part time. If you look at the costs and the time invested you are not earning a lot of money. People forget about the little thing that add up quickly. Food and beverages for parties, paper, hangers, clothing racks, shipping material, gas to get to events etc.... Most consultants are making less than minimum wage. The company is focused on expansion and has done things that only hurt the consultants. Trust me, it is going to end badly for most of the consultants!

You are way too good of a person to be getting used like this!! Please don't be so hard on yourself. This is not your fault. Do you think they don't know what they are doing? I am sure because you are such a good person you probably don't really understand that they are manipulating people ON PURPOSE to WANT to buy a TON of stock early on before you know better so they make money. They do this intentionally. The market is waaaaayyyy over saturated because the company owners are thieves who didn't care to be a moral company that would set things in place to teach people properly to be consultants and to make sure the market isn't way over saturated. Please realize that their are people who will do anything for money, even lie to your face and thousands of others. You do not deserve this crap. I hope it all works out well for you. All the best to you!

Yes, I'm a Nelly Naysayer....but, here are my observations. 1. On average, women keep their wardrobe to only 20% or less prints or you won't have anything that "matches". 2. Take this as a wake up call. The middle class is still buying on credit but we are actually really struggling right now. The cost of health Care is way up and we are seeing stagflation and an increase in the price of food and some goods. Notice the price of a steel stock pot is around 100$ ... For-a-pot. Crazy. 3. Fashion is fickel. I can see a time when leggings look dated. 4. You have about 7 years from the time of startup of the company before the clothes start hitting resale markets. When people see what they spent 40 or 70 on at a discount store for 5, their clothes loose the luster in their eyes... they start thinking maybe it's time to move on, change my look. 5. We are in a new decade now, new decade, new trend.

When a company targets people that have no experience in marketing or business call it a huge RED FLAG! The owners of this company prey on the stereotypical stay at home mom and most one on one attention you can hope for is when they take you to another country to have a dangerous weight loss surgery! And that's coming from several women that were there. Wake up! YOU the consultant.. ARE THE CONSUMER! YOU are the one buying all the clothes! Why do you think they constantly drill you to buy more and more inventory? Are they even asking you what your demand is? No they aren't. They don't need customers they need "consultants"

Ree,I can totally understand where you are coming from. I have been a very loyal customer of LLR 's for over 5+ years. And Every word that you are speaking is True. Some Consultants have tons of OS Leggings in their Inventory at all times. Others have a Plethora of TC2, however, alot of Retailers/Consultants (whichever they choose to Call themselves) are kinda hard-pressed to get TC Leggings, therefore Many Customers either choose to gain weight in order to fit into the TC2 size, or lose weight to fit into the OS Leggings, because TC is the most popular selling size, hands down, I know bcuz that's the size I Used to wear. Now I wear the OS size of Leggings, for these reasons: as Pajamas, as Loungewear or for warmth under my jeans.

I new this company would fail years ago the minute I saw the clothes. Most woman are not going to pay top dollars to look 10 to 20 lbs heavier and look older. This clothing is not flattering for anyone that is not thin. Hence most women do not want it! The company is 100% a scam! I bet, as of today, you are out of business. First rule, nobody wants clothing that makes them look older and fat!

Very honest review. This is what I think. I LOVE these clothes! So for me, I think it would be easier to sell, just because it is easier to sell that way. But still hard! Even if you love it. Your video is exactly how I would assume this job would be like. I love all the crazy prints, and fugly stuff. So I honk it's perfect for me. It I totally feel you. I use to sell shakeology....and I didn't like the product! I really didn't at all...and my business sucked. Thanks so much for this video. I was waiting for one like this. Ty!

I know this was many years ago now, but the one big thing that completely mystifies me about this company is the fugly prints. Why????? I know the print designers were under immense pressure but "designs" are LITERALLY infinite. If there's something that had mass appeal, why wouldn't they re-create it in 30 different color schemes? Also, they could have DOUBLED the print runs and still easily lay claim to the limited run concept. Idk, seems like that was a totally self-created and almost entirely avoidable problem they created for their retailers.

Beth Burleson here is what I found, (in a nutshell, you CAN return it. But you either pay 15% or 20% and shipping to send it back.) "3.16 Return Policy 3.16.1 Manufacturer’s Defects and Damaged Items Any items with a manufacturer’s flaw or defect or that is damaged may be exchanged for a new item of the same body style. There is no restocking fee for these returns. The Independent Fashion Consultant must pay the return shipping costs. 3.16.2 Other Returns Independent Fashion Consultants may return products that are not defective or damaged for credits for future purchases. Such items must be returned unworn, unwashed, and with hang tags attached. If the items are returned folded and in original packaging, there will be a 15% restocking fee. If returned items are not folded neatly with the hang tag clearly visible or if they are not in the original bag, the entire order will be charged a 25% restocking fee on the entire return. The Independent Fashion Consultant will be responsible for the costs of shipping all returned items to LLR. 3.16.3 Returns on Cancellation of the Agreement Upon the cancellation of an Independent Fashion Consultant’s Agreement, the Independent Fashion Consultant may return products and sales aids for a refund. In order to receive a refund from LLR pursuant to this policy, the following requirements must be met: • The items being returned must have been personally purchased by the Independent Fashion Consultant from LLR (purchases from other Independent Fashion Consultants or third parties are not subject to refund); • The items must be in Resalable condition (see Definition of “Resalable” below); and • The items must have been purchased from LLR within one year prior to the date of cancellation. Upon receipt of a Resalable products and sales aids, the Independent Fashion Consultant will be reimbursed 90% of the net cost of the original purchase price(s). Shipping and handling charges incurred by an Independent Fashion Consultant when the products or sales aids were purchased, and return shipping fees, will not be refunded. If the purchases were made through a credit card, the refund will be credited back to the same account. If an Independent Fashion Consultant was paid a bonus based on a product(s) that he or she purchased, and such product(s) is subsequently returned for a refund, the bonus that was paid to the Independent Fashion Consultant based on that product purchase will be deducted from the amount of the refund. Products and sales aids shall be deemed “Resalable” if each of the following elements is satisfied: 1) they are unworn, unwashed, folded with hang tags and in original packaging; 2) packaging and labeling has not been altered or damaged; 3) they are in a condition such that it is a commercially reasonable practice within the trade to sell the merchandise at full price; and 4) they are returned to LLR within one year from the date of purchase. Any merchandise that is clearly identified at the time of sale as nonreturnable, discontinued, or as a seasonal item, shall not be Resalable. Items that are returned that are not Resalable will be donated to a charity selected by LuLaRoe and no refund or exchange will be issued."

I've focused most of my sales online... I invested 14k in the beginning and really did go with the more you have the more you sell and I've found it to be 100% true. But you do need to really work to sell it. I want new to lularoe customers, that's how you will gain loyal customers. Which means.. it won't sell itself. You really gotta put the work in and sell sell sell. I haven't done any loops but my group is now at 1450 members and I haven't finished my third month yet. I did 13.5k in sales my first month, 15.5k my second, and I'm on track for 18k my third. If you have too much inventory for your group then grow your group! I'm sorry you had a bad experience and I hope you find something that works for you.

It all looks really cheap. The color combinations and patterns are hideous and don't look good on anyone, no matter how skinny or how large. I realize everybody has different tastes, but taking the time to learn what types of styles and colors compliment your body shape would save women a lot of money, time and tears. This stuff is just a waste of money. Better to have a few nice quality pieces of clothing that will last and make you look great, than a closet full of this junk.

Girl if you want some tips just message me! Things are going pretty well for me so far and my sister is a trainer. I don't find the work to be too taxing I think because social media is pretty comfortable for me and I've been in retail and then cosmetic sales for a long time. Leggings loops are TERRIBLE for growth, it's all dead weight. I know a lot of women who have done re-launches that have been pretty successful. I feel like your sponsor may not have been so great based on the tactics you've done for growth and sales. I do think LuLaRoe could be better at helping us out, but I also know that they do give us a lot of tools that starting a business from scratch we wouldn't have. If you do decide to quit, I know hundreds of consultants who would buy inventory from you. I wish you had better support!

LuLaRoe Brittany Post yep, I have an upline and she is a friend and is always very positive, encouraging. But when it comes down to it, it is up to me to fix my problems. No she didn't train me the best on how to start of strong, I just tried my best using my own skills and knowledge. And I am sure if I relaunched I may do amazing, I think even if I stuck it out, I would still do great and learn from my mistakes. But the problem really is, I don't LOVE the product. And that is where I can really see my mistake was made. I fell in love with the opportunity, not the clothes. :(

I've stopped shopping from consultants I don't have a relationship with. And I'm usually only shopping from going out of business sales. there are so many shitty consultants out there, it's not worth the customers struggle anymore. stuck up consultants who won't damage out leggings that are messed up and treat their customers like shit. I'm glad I dodged the bullet and knew better than to invest in this nonsense. I've got 2 friends who have started selling and are barely keeping their heads above water. And the positive only culture bullshit of lularoe is nauseating. obviously every company has flaws and issues and to hear consultants bark off the same scripted "everything is awesome" seems almost cult like and is really putting people off. they shouldnt allow any one with 6 grand to become a consultant. I'm hoarding up on maxi skirts in going out of business sales so it's killing new consultants

TheZimm4 , a lot of quality products are made in poor countries. The real problem is that LLR is not really concerned with producing a high quality product. They are more concerned with the quantities they can sell to the distributors. The consultants buy because they have to maintain an inventory. It isn't like a buyer from Target, who can reject product she can't sell or who can stop doing business with a producer whose products are inferior or defective.

First of all.. I'm sorry your experience was awful. I can tell you what I see before you give up! 1- did you do the 72 hour game plan? Adding people from legging loops is a quick way to fail! The people signing up for those aren't customers. They are trolling for free.. not good! 2- if you are only selling online your not going to sell! You need to get the clothes into your customers hands 3- damages happen.. the company replaces EVERY damaged item. But, as a merchant you need to do the work to get your money back! 4- the smelly and holey leggings sucked!!!! 5-make your own vendor events! Big vendor events are the worst! Too overcrowded. Customers don't like them! 6- you're amazing! Don't give up! You have a great work ethic! Kick it girl! Don't bash lularoe rock it!! The people screwing us over in BST sites will be shut down and they will lose their selling rights! ----> when that happens those of us who are honest will better be ready! You got this girl!
