It was so hot that they should of had more shade because only the Ghostly woods habitat was very shaded and the team areas was shaded and of corse the few tent things that were up

@@Kiwikid-zy7rg preach. The northern area was crazy. Every tree had 50-200 people standing in it's shade, while the rest are set ablaze. And the music was too much, I feel bad for all the food truck people that endure it 3 days 8h+

My first raid was waiting for the ferry in and got a hundo Buzzwole; also ended up with dehydration/heat stroke as did a lot of folks, the water stations were so far away and took forever (if I’d known they wouldn’t check my water bag I would have had it pre-filled but they said only empty ones were allowed).

Crazy I’ve done like 300 necrozma raids from all 3 gofests and haven’t got over a 91 IV

Great video Dax, i was literally screaming "use the Masterball" when you had 2 balls left!

This year's Go Fest was disappointing. While it's a virtual event, last year's had more decorations, making the experience more enjoyable and photogenic. This year, the lack of cooling stations was a major issue. Despite the forecasted heat, there were only three small fans at the Cabana spot, which barely helped. People crowded around the rock fan just to get some relief. The park had team tents on one side but almost no shade on the other, leaving players exposed while hunting or raiding in those areas. Everyone crowded under trees for shade, making it difficult to find spots to cool down and look for shinies. Phones overheated, causing screens to dim and sometimes crash. The event buses ran every 20 minutes, which was insufficient. If Niantic could have arranged for more MTA buses to handle the crowd, it would have been better. I ended up with more sunburns than shinies. Despite doing 20 Necrozma raids, I only got one shiny with poor IVs and no location card. Thankfully, the extra city play allowed me to catch shinies in comfort. I also think location cards should be available with the Raid Lover add-on, not just the extra city play. Unlike last year’s memorable shiny Yveltal with a location card, this year’s catches were forgettable. I hope Niantic improves next year's event. My sunburns will last longer than the memories of this one.

Wish I could have met you! My highlight of the entire event was getting a HUNDO MARSHADOW!!! Almost dropped my phone, my hands were shaking so much… the humidity and heat was no joke but my friends and I powered through with enough fluids. Hopefully there’s another event in the US so I can try and meet you and many of the other influencers!!

We toured the museums while playing to stay cool and had great success. The two of us had 110+ shiny combined and 5 hundo combined. The city play was a blast..... so was the heat like you said. Getting a shiny Tyrant in the museum of natural history was a highlight :)

Playing in the actual city is super bold lol. My group and I stayed in central park except for our window time of gofest. The city is just so crazy dirty and crowded and dealing with crossing streets and the grime of NY was brutal. Even just getting to the park

I had a good time on Saturday. I had to stay in the medical tent at the park for 1.5 hours. That heat and humidity were no joke. Felt defeated by the time I left.

@pokemama9317 if I attend Go Fest next year, or some other event you and Daxi attend, sure! Ya kno, I really considered joining the Mexico trip, but the cost was prohibitive. Plus, I went to Mexico City last summer and was able to find my Hawlucha--just one, though, as I was unable to separate from the group much. They were pretty hard to find, so if/when you go, take advantage of Routes to hope to find some. Routes didn't exist when I went. I'll try to attend more events (day 1 player and Go Fest veteran), but going back to Randals Island for another Go Fest likely won't be happening for me. I'm hoping it either goes back to Chicago or a different city altogether.

As I was watching this video , I random got a ray traded to me with my buddy and it became lucky 100.

Hoping to travel for go fest next year! I make jewelry with polymer clay and want to make a bunch of pokeball keychains to hand out if I can go. Did this a few times for community days in my small town and people got so excited. I wanted to do it for Go Fest St Louis but forgot to bring them in all the prep😅 I did remember my pikachu poncho I made though, which was nice beings it was cold out and the poncho was fleece

Today was awesome, I only had the city experience today and caught 17 shinies! One of them being shiny necrozma.

The heat was so brutal that I couldn’t do the full city wide ticket on the 2nd day. I had to be in my air conditioned hotel room. Next time I’m only gonna do the 1 day event plus citywide. It was way hotter than last year

Best spot is probably downtown Ottawa, starting at confederation park. You can walk around downtown (Sparks street) and / or the University of Ottawa campus.
