@@user-ir6mk6me7t it is also because he has won baeksang award for best actor in tv (moon embracing the sun which was also a high rated drama) that made him highest paid. Baeksang is like the Oscars in Korea. Most of our oppas are good at acting but not enough to win a baeksang award. And it was in the movie The Thieves where they saw Jun JiHyun and Kim Soo Hyun's chemistry :)

Jun Ji Hyun was already the biggest name of Korea before this drama if the newbies didn't know her before. My Sassy Girl is still Korea's highest grossing comedy of all time and that's what made her a household name.

This drama literally best Korean. has everything. It's a melodrama, a comedy, a murder mystery, a sci-fi, very elegant, and a beautiful love story, the songs is beautiful, has a good meaning, and is so profoundly moreover perfect plot. Perfect twist. with satisfying ending. Great cast. all episodes are worth to watch with no boring scenes plus the epilogue at the end of each episode. Both of them very talented, very professional especially Jun Ji Hyun is adorable actress and is a personal favorite.

I really loved this serial... think was the first korean serial I saw... and more amazing is I saw it all on mobile when I first saw it... that too without sub-titles. My passion was really amazing... but I got stuck to this cast instantly though I actually dunno understand what hey saying... but then there was nothing much to guess. The story as mostly so obvious. :) I was alone in my house I remember for those 2-3 days since all my family gone out of station. Anyway I saw it again on my laptop later with subtitles this time when I got it.

I'm rewatching this series now. Never gets old
