Agreed when it’s frizzy it looks more curly like goddess locs so pretty

Randomly came across this video and I was thinking to loc my hair also. I dont do anything with my natural either lol. So you definitely inspired me to get started 🙌

I started with coils but quickly realized my hair is too long and looser than it was a few years ago so I’m restarting with twists

Your starters look pretty here! Hope it’s still going well for you! I started my second set a couple days ago on Halloween with two-strand twists. First set didn’t last long (maybe 7 months), partially due to not using the right product to establish them and retwist them. But I have a much better product this time around and am so glad to have finally started them over. Excited for the journey 😊

Super cute. I started mine, my 2 daughters and my niece locs with 2 strand twist all our locs are flourishing.. im 2yrs and some change in.. my niece and 1 of my daughters are 1yr and some change in and my other daughter will be 1yr in March.. trust the process

What size are your starter locs? I love the color of them!

i’m starting my locs by leaving in some mini twists i did. i was worried about how i braided at the root before i twisted them down. i see that you have braided roots as well, so did you notice anything like a pinch in your loc once it grew out a bit from the original braid at the start? that’s all i’m worried about rn

Frizz mean good, thats the start of budding. Its starting to lock together.

My big curly Afro started to shrink and look straight 😢 and ppl kept asking did I straighten my hair I’m like noo lol or look like I got electrocuted I started my journey a few days ago ima take my twisty out and blow dry my hair and redue my twists it looks flat right now 😂!
