@@valgear5525 oh right, one last question: to medic in your army you joined with a related degree (medicine, infirmary, pharmacology, ecc.) or you learned in the army?
@valgear5525

Well first time around i had only firearms design degree, so i became gunner from all guns imaginable, this time around i wanted to be machinegunner again, but medics are more in demand, my degree Is civilian, analogue of american advanced EMT or RN intensive care specialist..
Tip on the leatherman raptor. Make sure to threadlock the screw that holds the belt clip to the holder. Also, electrical tape or wire tie it together. They tend to work loose and then you lose your scissors. I've had a few of my flight paramedics lose theirs because of this. My guys also tend to dummy cord their scissors. Some attached some sort of retractable tether/leash to the scissors like the one from North American Rescue. Others a small S-Biner with paracord and a plastic qd buckle. Something that is low profile but still somewhat quick to deploy.

I like your kit. Those RGO hand grenades are very unique. I will be doing a video of my kit for the home front as well. It’s not as spicy as yours but it’s still very effective. I posted that grenade video for you to see. Hope you like it. Stay safe out there. 😁👊🏻

Everybody's favorite piece of kit AKSU 74. Would love to wield one if I ever get to but probably never because my country do not issue any license of these calibre to civilian. I am from India and Indians know it very well.
regarding hydration I can highly recommend the ICEPLATE from Qore. Good Video thx mate
Thanks so much for the review. I have also switched over to the AK105 which I think is an excellent choice for anyone who is part of a mechanised outfit and has to clear trenches but also needs to engage out to longer distances. Great video and yeah extra mags is usually more than enough.
Super knife, i have the same👍🏻
Would love a video about the content of your TT-Medic backpack and your experiences as a medic.

Nice aks74u.
I can't put into words how much respect I have for you guys risking your lives for others. You're defending every single one of us out there, thank you.
I noticed how American preppers favour hard plates for rifle rounds but you favour kevlar. It seems like shrapnel is the real killer out there. They used to issue western troops with fragmentation vests that cover the whole torso. You can still find them in army surplus stores for cheap. I might pick one up.
@patliao556
Жыл бұрын
He doesn't favor kevlar, he's talking about kevlar backers FOR his hard plates. Most hard plates you want to put soft armor behind just so you can A) catch spall and B) allow you to scale your armor level; if you don't need the plate, you're still protected from pistols and shrapnel, but you CAN take the plate.
Your videos are superb - no fuss, just real info from an active soldier in a warzone defending his country. You should have many, many times more subscribers - your content is that good. Stay safe and thank you for making these in your spare time.

As usual Valgear's upload again. A good video with full insight of the loadout. If you are in recon how long usually do you go for a mission recon and what are the chances of getting spotted by enemy ? This is a weird question but anyways stay safe Val wish you the almighty keep you away from any harm and win this war.
@valgear5525

Recon is conducted in this war even only in 100s of meters, and so far in this war, contact with enemy ( direct artilery, airplanes, helicopters) was in 100% of missions, So yes everytime going out, group get spotted sooner or later and need to get out under fire, thats the effect of drones with thermals, So far there is no effective way how to counter that...

With all due respect, the aks74u is a cool piece of history. From the same era as the m16a1. The Russians don’t even produce it anymore it’s so out of date. Don’t get me wrong - it’s cool.
I wrote a long detailed comment with links earlier but KZread deleted many times... You can use a normal cut helmet if you get a US ACH or better USMC ECH (can stop rifle rounds for same weight but $) and put Ops Core ACH Arc rails to attach either Ops Core AMP headset or Peltor Comtacs (need Ops Core AMP mount and AXL Advanced RAC Link). It will go under the ears but there is still enough space to swing them backwards to use your stethoscope. Stay safe out there!

You mention the necessity of the high-cut helmet despite its an artillery dominant war - What is your take on wearing a full kevlar vest with soft armor instead of the minimal plate carrier? It's not much heavier, yet significant warmer in the summer. But is it not worth the drawbacks? Or is it hard to get for you? We see a lot of injuries to the side of the soldiers torso in Ukraine, and many soldiers choose not to cover the sides. Magazines will stop some lower velocity fragments, i highly recommend you to store them on the sides of your torso. Take a look at this: "The incidence of penetrating thoracic trauma is significantly higher in this conflict with an NPA than in the GWOT. Most soldiers in the current war in Ukraine have front and rear panel armor as well as a helmet. With incoming artillery rounds in a trench, soldiers generally face forward and cover their heads. However, this leaves the lateral aspects of the body vulnerable to injury. Use of standard center mass front and rear plate armor that protects the vital organs within “the box” may not be sufficient to save lives when ballistic material is coming from a lateral trajectory. Although available US body armor systems do offer more thorough lateral and abdominal protection with side armor plates and ballistic material that can protect lateral trajectory projectiles, such equipment is extremely heavy and cumbersome." www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC10344429/ Side ballistic plates are heavy and small, a 25ply kevlar is much lighter and will stop everything from a VOG drone drop grenade

1:27 I actually wonder about this. Given that Ukraine sees such heavy frag/shrapnel threat, would you be willing to eat the weight and comfort penalty to wear a full tactical vest and its wraparound frag armor instead of a PC with soft armor panels? Also, maybe my brain is smooth but what do you mean SF mindset driven by mission demands? More doorkicking and such than crawling under fire?
