My Little Georgia Rose - The Seldom Scene
Музыка
Another song - a bluegrass classic by Bill Monroe! - performed by the Seldom Scene on June 8, 1996, at Lexington Kentucky's "Festival of the Bluegrass." Videotape shot and edited by Kentucky Educational Television (KET), directed by the lovely and talented Russ Farmer.
This song featured lead vocal by mandolinist John Duffey, with harmony singing by dobro player Fred Travers and guitar-player Dudley Connell, plus fine banjo picking by Ben Eldridge and fretless bass work by Ronnie Simpkins. Another first-class job!

RIP Ben Eldridge, you've been a great picker on the 5-string.
Wow. Ben's playing was outstanding. I had the pleasure of seeing the original lineup many years ago. They're one of my all time favorite bands.
Duffey's lead vocals... wow!

I've posted videos from two different days of Seldom Scene shows at the Festival of the Bluegrass in 1996 -- different pants on different days. These are the June 8th shows . . .
