I totally agree with you regarding the functionality of this system. It just got a bad rep because of the bugs of the previous versions. Hopefully Ford/Lincoln will reward their MyFord/My Lincoln Touch customers the chance to update to Sync 3.

I have Sync 3 in my 2019 F150 (Wife's Truck) and Just bought a 2015 Lincoln with my Ford touch. Personally, I prefer the my ford touch system with nav (bought an upgraded SD map card) over the Sync's Smartphone like interface. I like that everything is on one screen divided into four places the best. Super easy to access and less distracting in my opinion. But I dont listen to spotify, I listen to Music in my phone's memory and Sirius XM..... to each their own I guess.

Does this work with pandora on the iPhone if you plug it in usb?

If you spend enough money anything is doable, there are companies planning retrofit kits but they'll run you at least $2000 plus installation.

CD Moto what do you need to know? I have this in mine and honestly it works just fine and mine isn't sluggish at all, I update it when it needs it and it's perfect the difference is that sync 3 is a bit more colorful and the selections are slightly different. My voice doesn't need to be connected via USB so long as my Bluetooth is connected it syncs right to my phone. I also play movies on mine but that's only when the car is park. You can use the screen to text as well to contact in your phone..
