@Rarirurero there is no statistics in google that says how many is using it. But if the Chinese want, they could use VPN to access banned sites like youtube whenever they want. So i don’t think it really matters how many is using it in China. I have seen a lot of chinese people on youtube saying they use VPN to access youtube. Our culture in the US seems to glorify only wealth and/or power without dignity nor respect for anyone who is poor. The CPC learnt from a small country how to win support from the populace. Give the people their basic needs: housing, food, water, job and a so called non-corrupt government you'll win their hearts. After that when the people start making money for themselves, tax them in every creative way you can. Control their every move, take away their freedom of speech, rule them with an iron fist, and imprison them when they dissent. In this tiny country, we are so afraid to lose our basic needs that we allow our privacy and freedom to be taken away, and our money to be held by the govt. I see the same thing happening in China: people love the CPC but don't know that the party is only interested in its own existence, not the people's. They can and will kill hundred or thousands of their own people just to stay in power. Human lives matter very little to them.

Living conditions have improved all around the world. Majority credit can not go to the party. Technology and economic systems play the biggest role in improving life in China. The biggest advances China has made is when it gets out of the way of progress. Think about the special economic zones. How can we fully trust a party that does not embrace the full truth. Censorship is wrong. Hiding vital information shows the insecurities and extent at which the party is willing to go to advance their own image. This is not about the greatness of China. This is about erasing past embarrassment and promoting the greatness of the party. Short term gain at the lost of wisdom.

You don't have to be a party member but you HAVE to follow our rules....

Are all the laws and rules apply to everyone equally? Everyone must be equal and the law applies to all, even CPP members as well as non-CCP members. What is the difference with CCP/Communist and Democracy country? Democratic system comes closer to all people being equal to each other than a Communits country. That is my thought. Just because a CCP member is smarter than the general public, doesn't mean the/she has more freedom or priveleges than the not so smart non-CPP member. But my feeling is that Chinese people are not mindful of others in their country, they are more selfish individuals and that's might be why the smart ones wants the CCP party - so they can get ahead more than the regular Chinese person in China. Only my thoughts. I am married to a ex-Chinese person. She is now American.

Jerffy Holmes Do understand that the pay in the CPPCC is not the best at all and could never support a “stable job”, unless you were a member of the High Council, Provincial Leaders, or the Politburo. A normal position at the CCP is like a magistrates or jury duty where you do the job as a service not as a career. Xi Jinping gets paid less than the cameramen who film him in the Parliament; his salary is supposed to reflect on the GDP per capita as head of the PRC. Most CCP members comprise of civilian economists, veterans, medical professionals, and bankers. They only do the CCP job as a 2nd job as dedication to the Nation. Myself I had once applied for a local role and would never get paid unless it was to subsidise a day-off from work in which I was given only $100 worth compensation.

Of course you are right. I only look at hard facts, not propaganda. I also know Chinese and have contact with many Chinese people on a regular basis. I don't accept whatever I hear. But the amount of very credible evidence that the CCP is doing and has done MANY extremely horrific things is extremely ample, despite the incredible lengths they have gone to to cover it up.
