John Thompson, Jr., the long time head basketball coach at Georgetown University, passed away at the age of 78. We all know of his impressive basketball resume; National Championship as a player at Archbishop Carroll High School, NBA Championship as a member of the Boston Celtics, National Championship at Georgetown University and enshrinement into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.
Those accomplishments will always be remembered along with the impact he had on the countless number of people he met in his lifetime. Rest in peace "Big Coach" and Thank You!
