AK550 is a well made scooter and superb on technical engineering designed in general a lot of stealth studies made before they introduce this product to the market first in Europe with BMW machine technology

I put a lot of miles on a 650 Burgman. The best part of a big scooter is you can us them for long distance riding and no engine heat and the do a good job blocking the wind. To bad they don't put cruise control on them. If they do I will own a nother one.

Thanks for the video. I am considering this scoot to replace my 2018 Suzuki VStrom 1000xt. The VStrom has a higher top end but I have never been there. Don't need to go there. I have never even gone this fast on my 1000xt. So clearly the AK has all the go I need and I'm looking for the comfort, the twist and go of a maxi scooter. Just need to investigate side case options for touring.

Nice Rico, I'm doing the same, I'm selling my 2016 bmw c650 sport scooter & I was doing a comparison between this kymco ak550 & Yamaha tmax 560 & it was very similar in componentry, it looks good & also good value at $13,000 aus, the tmax 560 sells for $16,600, that's why I'm getting one🙂

Brother May I ask how the change has been? I have come to the conclusion that there isn’t Maxis big enough for me (130kg 183cm) to take on long trips 500km + and the reason is from chasis flex and well there is a small market for them. However the kymco 550 has me doubting that I should get a 650+ dct bike or an adv bike, especially at the massive price point difference. Any information is well received

@@justforgitsandshiggles5405 I do love the Kymco AK550, it is powery! 54 horsepower equal to the Harley Davidson Sportster 883! The drawback for me is..... it's too tall for me. 😔 I'm going to sell it 😑 I'm 5 foot 5 and find that at stops, I end up leaning far to the left. I'm putting it on the market next month. Otherwise, it is a great long trip bike!!! I added saddle bags to mine, makes it look like a Sport Touring bike👍😎 I had a Yamaha Majesty and you could feel some flex, but not with the Kymco 👍 I might go back to the Yamaha or Suzuki Burgman 650 ... Cheers

That is not true. They are violating the law. Its illegal to do it here too. Lucky for you you can do max 120kph. here 100kph max.

There are speed limits in the US, tops is 75mph, there might be some at 80 up in Wyoming/Montana but we do have very strick speed limits. The Germans have their Autobahn with some no speed limit areas.

I have a question... those flickering lights in the dashboard are an effect caused by the light, the camera or of other nature, or you are actually seeing that while you are driving?

Hi Sir! For daily use and weekend long ride okay na okay na po ang Xciting, makakasave ka pa ng 200k. Pero kung willing ka to spend extra 200k, go for Kymco's flagship maxiscooter. Keep safe!

Not really. I've ridden PC43 for like 30k km and despite it might not feel like 180 is its max speed, it won't go much faster. And even if it does, it will become unstable beyond at least my comfort zone.

180 kmh is more than adequate for a scooter. More important is the comfort of the rear suspension because in my opinion that is a very weak part of every scooter compared to a regular motor. Also the sound of the motor is important. On the C 650 I found that terrible and I traded it for a Yamaha FJR AS. And that is a world of difference. Although is it very heavy and not easy to manoeuvre as is the AK 550. Furthermore I think a motorscooter is very expensive both to buy and to maintain. Not shifting gets a bit boring after a while. I have not yet found my perfect motor/scooter.

@@maxleonardjanssen6653 You can check out Honda's DCT maxiscooters. Amazing torque and riding comfort. Also, you can switch to semimanual gearing via button control if you miss shifting gears on your own. Ride safe pops!
