The writer said she added the shaman death scene because she wanted an element of the divine in the show. Dong eun always said God was not on her side. The writer wanted to comfort her own character by saying, actually God is.

that is so beautiful and thoughtful. i think that her and the landlady also brings in the divine. devil's trumpet, angel's trumpet. heaven mistaking the match of parents and their children. on top of that, they saved each others' lives. on top of that, the lady emphasised that they wait until the spring. dong-eun's spring was having gotten revenge on her torturers. she decided to go to hell, so to speak, by beginning her revenge, partly inspired by that cold ass winter morning.

She didn't faked it she is dead ,, because she was really there and that shamen saw her

​@@sys9208 not possible in reality, fortunately this is a k-drama and they wrote it to have an actual paranormal aspect. There is a point in episode 16 in which the clouds cover the sky and represent the Gods turning a blind eye to the revenge.

I guess you can interpret the shamanism section initially as a manipulation by Dongeun, but there were some things the shaman said which only Sohee would've known. Young Dongeun had earphones in and couldn't have known that Yeonjin told Sohee to take off her clothes etc. during the incident leading to her death. So the only explanation is that as much as Dongeun was helping Sohee take her revenge on Yeonjin, Sohee was there using the shaman as her medium before cursing her for her ill deeds. Shamans are usually thought to be chosen by the spirits to convey their messages...so despite all of the shaman's lies to get money from people, it's ironic that Sohee's spirit chose to use her as she should be used to deliver one last message and exact her own revenge.

I was shocked the Shaman was real when she said things Dong-eun couldn't know. Later I learned the director confirmed. But I always view coincidence in shows as divine guidance of fate.

The Shaman was playing with the gods; reason she got punished; also So-hee spirit got into the Shaman

When Yeong-jins mom went to the shaman and asked her to put a death curse on Ms Kangs husband, the shaman said that God might stroke her down with the deadliest curse for it. And boom! She cursed him and then ended up dead the next day

Okay, here's my two cents on the shaman scene. As someone has already mentioned, shamans claim that they are chosen by a god or spirit to serve as the vessel or medium. The shaman supposedly has the gift from the god that he or she is supposed to serve. It is safe to assume that the shaman in the story had some ability in beginning, which made Yeon-jin's mom a true believer. She would have needed to continue to appease and serve her god, who she referred to as "the general" in previous episodes. Somewhere along the line, the shaman neglected her god and began losing her ability. As a result, she teamed up with Yeon-jin's mom to run a prostitution ring out of her business (young desperate girls coming to ask for advise and the shaman hooking them up with wealthy sugar daddies - financial problem solved). Another evidence of prostitution ring is the motel owned by the crooked cop (under his sister's name). The shaman and Yeon-jin's mom provide the hook up and the cop provide a safe venue for the rendezvous (no fear of police raid). As for the ritual, Dong-eun set it up and gave the script for the first part. Dong-eun most likely knew about the dress because "take off the dress" actually happened first out on the street when the whole gang was there. It is highly likely that Hye-jung told Dong-eun about that incident and a lot of other stuff that we just didn't see on screen. However, the shaman regained her "ability" during the ritual probably because the ritual may have been sincere and elaborate enough to summon her "general." The "general" empowered her again to enable her to see So-hee's spirit there, only for the angry "general" to quickly strike down the shaman with the worst punishment possible, death. The entire show contained many references to spirituality (not necessarily religion), so this scene should not be dismissed as a one-off "supernatural" event that comes out of nowhere.

I'd say just try to remember how they first met. She thinks they met on the train after she was admitted to the hospital. But we remember them seeing each other before that at the coffee shop.
