I seriously hope this will be the month you find a new 5-star fave!! Super excited to see The Mask of Mirrors here, I think that will be much better for you than Lady Trent. Though, don't expect a suspenseful heist, it's more of a very meticulously planned long-con with lots of intrigue and hidden intentions; I am all there for the characters though!! Also, I am hoping to get to Herald as well, it sounds soooo good! And Sistah Samurai is one of the best novellas out there for sure, I think you will love the voice in that one. Happy reading! 🤩

Hello Petrik after a long time. It's been a busy spring. You have a great month ahead of you. My summer vacation starts next week, so I don't make plans, I just read what comes my way😎Right now I'm listening to The Way of Kings audiobook. I thought I'd listen to the books through before the new book 5. You would like a 5 star book so I recommend you The Song of the First Blade: The Bladeborn Saga by T.C. Edge. The series is currently my second favorite new series. You know the first one😉 I think the series nicely combines A Song of Ice and Fire, The Bound and The Broken and The Echoes Saga. What else does a man want but dragons, gods, magic swords, monsters and surprising leaders !!!

Children of Gods and Fighting Men sounds really up my alley as does Sistah Samurai, i'll have to give those a go. Also glad to hear that you're having fun with Elden Ring, Petrik. There's only so many hours in the day even if you're not reading as many books as you feel you'd like to as long as you are giving yourself some time to unwind and have fun thats a win in my book, whether thats gaming or reading.

Shawna Lawless' books are also on my list. Not for July, but I think I will get to this series soon. I really liked Sistah Samurai. I hope you will like it, too. I have two books that I definitely want to read in July. The first is Pachinko by Min Jin Lee. Season 2 of the show is coming in August, so it is finally time to read the book instead of just talking about doing it 😁. The other one is Rhythm of War. With that I will have read everything available in the Cosmere (except for the Prime - variations) and will be ready for Wind and Truth. I started this journey in March '23 and now I will be caught up with everything. Besides these two I will probably fit some smaller things in. Candidates are Dune: Messiah and Legends & Lattes (I just got the Wraithmarked edition, so it might be time to finally read it). And if there is still time after all this, I might start Red Seas Under Red Skies to continue The Gentlemen Bastards. But that will probably be more of an August book.

I will also start Dragonbone Chair next year. But I want to finish Wo before that. For July I have The Gathering Storm by Robert Jordan, Golden Son by Pierce Brown. I think you’ve got some real good books to look forward to this month! I’ve started my own reread of Tad Williams to prepare for the finale as well and now am on To Green Angel Tower (you gave a great review on that btw). Prince Morgan shoes some real growth in this book and his character and journey towards maturity reminds me a lot of Prince Orso in the Age of Madness trilogy. It’s funny that Witchwood Crown and A little Hatred were released in the same year and one “trilogy” is already long completed and now finally the other one will be too.

I really liked Pillars of the Earth. I agree that video games can become very addictive and time consuming, and that is why I try not to play too much. One day I will get to Tad Williams. Also curious about Mask of Mirrors. Yes, Janny Wurts takes dedication and devotion. I do find her prose to be something special and unusually lush and wonderful. I actually crave it, despite, or maybe because, it is so challenging and puts me in a different state of mind. Truly enchanting. You MUST get through Wheel of Time middle books to get to the Brandon Sanderson conclusions. Rob J Hayes is another author I need to get to. - Palmer

Post negative reviews. It's ok. Some books suck. Feels like you sell out if you aren't.

I DO post negative reviews. But I try to not post too many of them on KZread as I posted them on Goodreads where I have 55k followers already. I still talk about them on my wrap up video though.
