My Journey To Catch The Great Lake's Five Migratory Salmonids Continues

After a few trips fishing one of the Great Lake's tributaries, I was fortunate to hook into some very nice king Salmon and Coho Salmon on my light float fishing gear. There are three more migratory salmonid species that I have yet the occasions to have at the end of my line and it is my goal to attempt to catch them all before the end of 2020. Join me on this fishing journey. Please like and subscribe to my channel if you want to see more fishing video. Enjoy!
Gears I use:
Rod: Rapala Concept Ti Float 11'6" 2-piece rod
Reel: Rapala Concept Centerpin 5" diameter reel
Line: Blood Run Mono 10lb Test in Clear Color
Float: Raven SM 3.7g
Tippet: Maxima Fluorocarbon 5 lb Test
Hook: Daiichi 1150 size 8

WOW What an intro! I've paused it to make a cup of tea and share this one on the big screen with my chrome cast. It's going to be a good one!!!

So your split shots are connected to your main line (10 pound mono)...followed by Fluoro leader?

I basically put split shots ON my main line (10lb test). The part of the main line with split shots is my "shot line." Then, I use a micro-swivel to connect the end of my "shot-line" to the leader. As you can see, the main benefit of putting split-shot directly on the main line is that I can quickly slide up/down the individual split shots to fish different dept. This is a huge time saver when fishing different pools with varied depths.

Yes this is very good. I’ve been putting it directly on my leader and I can’t slide up an down because the Fluoro leader will start to create weak points. Keep up the videos they’re great 👍🏼...I’ve been thinking of making some fishing specific videos myself. I’ve been fishing the credit river lately but it’s been slow.

Is that creek/river fly fish only? Just wondering because maybe next year I will try looking for a river like that.

I don't know of any Fly fishing only river in Ontario. Maybe you know this already but If you are looking for fly fishing only river, I suggest you check out the Fly zone of the Salmon River in Pulaski, NY for your next year's trip.

@@wisitchan I don't fly fish much so I was wondering if it was legal to fish with spinning equipment in the river you were in? I won't ask where it is.
