Over a year ago, I ventured into Value Village and got a navy Reebok Buffalo Sabres jersey with the revised old logo with the Buffalo and the swords for $15. There was no name or number, but Buffalo is my favourite team and it was a steal for me.

Definitely agree with everything you said, however there is a time and place for paying full price. IMO that is when you come across limited edition jerseys that are one and done. As a Leafs fan the St. Pats, and Arenas jerseys come to mind. These now resell on eBay for 1.5-2x the original "full" price.

This is true! If you can find something rare that you really want such as the st pats jersey you should definitely get it at any reasonable cost, even retail haha.

Yo nice find on that McDavid jersey! I was considering buying multiple jerseys off of him but the only one I went with was the Matthews for $85 cdn with a 15% off site wide code they had on that day. Crazy steal imo and the only thing I might wanna mention to you was that I noticed on the Crosby jersey he had up it had the wrong C patch. At least when I compared it to the Adidas on NHLshop.ca it appeared to be a smaller font similar to the ones used on the Fanatics. I can't really tell if it's the same case with your McDavid jersey but just something I thought I'd mention. Anyways nice collection man!

I have 31 jerseys from 24 teams... but most of them are no name and many of them are from the 90s-00s. I spent $119 on my Pavel Datsyuk jersey in 2004, but yeah I always look for jerseys under $50 or so. I did just get a Byfuglien authentic Jets adidas jersey for $80 - I can't find anything that jumps out to me as fake... but I think I did get burned on a $40 Antti Niemi Stars jersey. The NHL shield just looks a little... off. The Skinner 'Canes jersey is tempting - that's 1 of maybe 8 teams I don't have one of and I have noticed fullmoonjerseys carry those even before he was moved. THAT VANCOUVER JERSEY IS HILARIOUS. Oh man some people do not even try when replicating wordmarks.

I bought a Drew Doughty LA Kings jersey for $15 at Value Village. I spent 10 minutes looking at it closely and bought it. However my brother said it was a fake, but I was convinced otherwise.

I’ll come across legits at thrift stores more than I ever thought I would. eBay is another golden spot IF you know legit sellers. Finding legits on a budget takes some time, but worth the time for sure.

The adidas NHL authentic jersey that is being sold is not the same as the players wear. It is marketed as authentic but that’s a lie. The players jerseys are made in Canada and the others are made in Indonesia. Don’t get scammed paying a lot of money for an Indonesian made Jersey.

I went to your "trusted" guy's ebay page & just looking at the pictures you can tell over half of them are china knockoffs..........meaning, you may be paying slightly under $100 to him, like 60-90 bucks.....but he probably only paid 30 bucks for them. 1 way to tell is the size of the logos....the placing of the logos....etc.....for instance your Draistail jersey is from china. your Selanne jersey I would have to see in person, but the logo looks very small for a real jersey.....although in the 90's some of the team logos were a lot smaller than on jerseys today....but I don't remember the ducks logo being so small.
