It's made by horizon hobbies just like the axe system. They're likely identical

Hard to believe how sofisticated RC crawlers have gotten. That's cool. I change all my ESC settings from my smart phone. My Castle Mamba X got that Bluetooth.

Great video! I was on the fence between a Spektrum or Hobbywing motor/esc upgrade for my axial iii. I ended up going with the HW Axe setup, currently installing it now. Super stoked at all the bells and whistles this new system is promising! The resources and tech that are becoming more and more available to the crawling community sure is making for a great time to be in the sport 😎

Nice! Getting into 3D printing is AWESOME! Lots of my custom models have self-made 3D printed parts. And I learned most of my 3D printing "skills" on my own just reading and watching videos too. One of my main custom rigs chassis is about 90% 3D printed. That new "smart" tech is awesome. Glad they finally came out with something advanced such as this. Bunch of new capabilities. Very cool.

Think I'll be getting this combo for an SCX10 Pro XJ build I want to do. Love the thought of smoother operation than I'm getting with my SCX10 III JLU, which already does great.

A true RCer is never done upgrading plain & simple. Had a blast at Pro Line by the Fire today. I was thinking maybe you would be there. Spend the day crawling with tons of others having a blast. In particular I saw a few Rc girls there & a Dad & his daughter crawling together. Such a great family hobby. It was awesome!

I just bought two lipo batteries from them and a charger. They work allright for me that will be the next upgrade.

I use the aux wire feature on the mamba X to set drag brake from the remote.

The blue tooth app with the hobby wings easier to navigate vs the controller screens.

Hello from France 🇲🇫 I love the style you give to your videos and the simpliest way to understand for beginners is to saw you drive. Even if you are 35years RC enthousiast in a life, you could appreciate this way of RC. To give my 2 cents to this specific vid, I just say that RC ESC finally climb to the best aircraft telemetry. It's just a bit sad that,except the 5 channel traxxas TQI, none of the affordable constructors, made a simpliest telemetry able transmitter with 5 or more channel. We now have scale details, winch light etc.... And of we want it we have to deal with 90's blinker that been up at every turn... None use the great pistenking pads I use on my mz32, so simple and efficient. We also use separate remote for a simple winch. Well, all the brushless sebsored exploitation is great, all the télémétry you shown is cool, but when could E bought a 200 - 350 USD transmitter with 6channel, 3 proportional and 3 indexable on switch, and télémétry able ? It's a big loss I think for the RC funtastic pleasure. No matter with your vids I know, but you mentioned the future of RC.... I give you this thought. Stay at top! Cheers from France 🇲🇫 Jérôme

The spectrum program is much the same as the hobbywing FOC as they both are made by hobbywing. John Holmes (Holmes hobbies) a discription of the functions and crawler settings for the 1080 esc

The Firma crawler system is made by Hobbywing and very similar to the Axe system. I understand Horizon is big on their integrated tech/Smart, but one thing the real Axe does that the Spektrum Firma doesn’t is that the Axe uses Bluetooth to their app on your smartphone which I prefer over the beep beep transmitter programming. The other thing is that the real Axe is now 80amp but the Firma is only 60amp like the previous generation Axe. I don’t know if that means the Firma uses the previous generation ESC architecture but I’d say that’s a good guess. For folks who like the Spektrum environment then it’s probably a good deal

I used to own a real jeep white and black same winch and roof rack. Just brings back memories seeing your rc. I want to do mine like that. I own tamiya bruiser from the 80s and the clone and a gmade and a redcat. And a redact twisty one. I play on making the tj jeep I have the bodies. I own a tj I'm mimicking. But need the Cherokee.

Hmm, weird that it requires holding the steering endpoints at 100% each side, especially when the servos on most (if not all) vehicles usually have to be reduced from 100% travel so as not to put unneeded stress on the servo/linkages, as you noted. Perhaps a firmware update to just look for holds at the programmed EPA (or "Travel", as Spektrum calls it) locations is in order, so that you don't have to change Travel settings (and disconnect your steering) EVERY time you want to adjust them. 🤔 BTW, that staircase/bridge feature is awesome!

The axe R2 FOC 3300kv 550 system is boss. Wonder how this compares

it is a fusion branded spektrum and nothing more because the same does not produce motors or regulators but only radios (even the servos are not his but are made by hitec)

why are you not using the other original transmission from the scx ii kit?

Hey there! I'm pretty new to RC I have an axial scx10ii cherokee. I recently purchased a hard body for it and got it all painted and put together. However, it doesn't have holes to mount the body, it has bunny ear looking brackets that I assume bolt to the bumper brackets? Should I just drill holes? Or get magnet mounts? What's the best way to mount a hard body?

What are the diff covers on your ar44?

Are you using the sr515 Rx and getting telemetry? Everything I read online says you need an sr6 series RX. Can you update the Sr315 and 515 to use telemetry? I already have a sr315 so it would be nice if I could just do the firmware updates and only buy the dx5 instead of having to buy a Tx Rx combo

It's very nice don't get me wrong but carrying my program card for my 1080 in my backpack is a breeze oh also its where I keep my extra 200 dollars lol 🙂

& programmable with the hobbywing program box. (Cause its an expensive hobbywing copy, with telemetry), unfortunately.

It would work well on the trx4, it would also work on the trx6 but a 550 can motor would probably better because of the extra weight of the trx6. The spectrum system is a 540 motor with different kv motors options with the same esc. Guess it depends on what you were looking to do with it.
