I just got my first group of Medaka. Platinum Blue. I've only had them two weeks and I've already found fry swimming around the tank. They're so tiny! I'm excited and I'm wanting to scale up!

Maybe build racks where you can put tanks next to eachother and use one light for a few tanks .

That's a great idea! I'll rearrange it and see how that works. Thanks for the help!

Some mail order plants need a root system so they don't melt away. When you buy from amazon and get a small pot it is usually just cuttings. Any soil sand substrate tank needs at least 3 weeks to stabilize in a tank.

Nice job, that is quit the set up, I just started raising rice fish on a much smaller scale, only 2 five gallon tubs so far. I will see have they do over winter here in Northern Idaho, I will definitely have to bring them inside.

Thanks! that's really exciting that you're starting rice fish in the PNW too! I would love to see what your setup is like if you ever wanted to share. What colors do you have going? 😄

For mine I see most breeding activity with the temps set around 65 - 68F but all my tanks above 60 get pretty active!
