I had the feeling at the very beginning that Craig was “interviewed out” and didn’t particularly feel like being there. But David very quickly won him over with his class, intelligence, and originality of questions. You could see DC getting more and more interested every minute and by the end they were chatting like old friends. Well done, sir!

Yes i suppose some ask him tricky personal questions or try to get him to reveal details of the plot etc. But this hit very interesting ground.

Spot on observation! For the first few seconds I thought "Oh, this is going to be ugly" but you can tell David asked DC questions he enjoyed answering. Great job, David.

This was legit one of the best recent interviews I’ve seen with Craig. Everyone else asked the same questions- you got new answers out of him. Loved it!

This is literally one of the best interviews of Daniel Craig I've ever seen. He's usually stumbling and repeating the same answers again and again. I felt like he ran out of energy before your turn. But he seemed to get more and more passionate talking about the style questions very quickly. Thank you so much David. I think he appreciated your questions just as much as I did.

I remember David called out to Daniel at a premier and he was wearing the tropical shirt from the parkour chase. He touched his collar and Craig recognised the shirt and gave him a thumbs up. Now this is progress! Well done David!

What a refreshing interview, the “professional” interviewers are generally awful, well done David!

David Zaritsky conducted this interview in a very calm, yet enthusiastic manner and Daniel Craig sounded genuinely engaged with his answers to the excellent questions.

I’ve probably watched hundreds of interviews with Daniel Craig and he definitely gives you a next level of respect. His answers were long and new. Usually it feels like he just wants to get through it but he was enjoying your better, more informed questions. Very well done.

This is an incredible interview, I have never seen Craig like this.

Excellent interview! I've been a journalist for 20+ years (and a Bond fan for 35+ years), and you did a great job, David. Two things really stood out to me: 1. Daniel Craig's description of how he sees the character of James Bond is exactly how I see Bond, and - as you pointed out - it's pretty much the way Ian Fleming probably saw him as well. 2. I totally agree with Craig's point about gags versus wit. Despite what some critics say, there has always been humor in the Daniel Craig Bond films. It's just more subtle and verbal. There aren't any "comic relief" Southern sheriffs or pigeons doing double-takes.

I love how natural and fairly unedited this conversation is. It makes Craig a lot more human and interesting. Great work.

So well deserved. You thanked Daniel but let us thank you for helping thousands through tough times with your relentless enthusiasm and content delivery.

I've read all of Ian Flemming's books and Casino Royale with Craig was soooooo beautiful. Daniel Craig looks like Ian's description of James Bond from his books more than any other previous Bond's. That's why he's my favorite!🙌

First half of the interview is a 10 out of 10. The second half unfortunaly was spent with thanking and praising him instead of using the time for more questions.

Smashed this interview, he seems like a hard character to talk to sometimes but your passion really got something great out of him!
