I LOVE how much of an emphasis you put on maintaining a happy/healthy family dynamic WHILE undertaking these projects. That is so often overlooked (or not needed because of the circumstances of the builder), but as someone trying to balance fish keeping and a husband who has been less than thrilled about how much time it takes, THANK YOU. This also gave me a lot of ideas for our downstairs hallway which backs onto a laundry room/storage room, OR something I could do if I get the fish room/greenhouse extension on the back of the house I have been dreaming of :D Oh, and I hate drywall too.
The arowana is like "My human does all the work to make me happy. I think I will show him appreciation BY EATING MY TANKMATES...because...I'm an arowana. It's what I do." ^___^ Cool build!

Great video. Really like the fact it covers the 'other' stuff that normally gets missed. Enjoying the way your doing this new build so far. Thanks for taking the time to record and edit this projects so professionally also which I'm sure takes up even more of your time than the projects themselves!!
I honestly forgot how i came upon this video, but I'm glad I did. The way your time lapses are and how the video came out is really nice! Love the new aquarium !

Your 3 things important that allow you to do these things are perfect. It's so respectful and caring on your part. The standard of a man.
looks great. i actually do drywall work. we usually do it in 3 coats, sanding between. most of the time. the last one is usually super thin. then texture
great video joey
Amazing!!!!
As a painting contractor I truly sympathize with your pain for taping and painting. It isn't easy to do it well. The project looks great! Love the trim and lighting, BTW.
Great work buddy - That too all alone, Awesome. I lot liked the way you worked by not disturbing the family members and gaining their trust. Much appreciated.

Great job
Looks amazing. Being a builder myself I wish the top of the door, top of aquarium and top of painting would be in one line and level.

The painting is actually getting moved. Another tank is going there. ;)
Your Arowana in the background! So funny sped up XD
Yup. I hate drywalling as well. How did you move full sheets with your small red car? Or did you rent / borrow a friends truck?
Very fresh finish. Job well done! I bet you're tired of taking that wall down and putting it back up again lol. Nice video, Joey!
wao' u done amazing job

This guy is amazing!!!
Brilliant
I am not into keeping fish; however I do have a red eared slider turtle that's at least 20 years old and have used a few of your tank cleaning builds with great success to keep her tank clean. With that said, I have been a long-time subscriber to your channel, and have recommended your site to friends who are fish enthusiasts. Thanks for sharing your expertise and for your time and effort into producing effective and informative videos. All the best to you and your family. Be well. -Nick
I'm impressed 😮
awesome!!!!
Que ARUANÃ GIGANTE E LINDA!! KKKK Parabéns pelos seus aquários e seu trabalho!! 🖒💪
If the tank align with the wall will be the best. Thank you for sharing your video.
Damn....that's intense. Some day I hope to be as badass at DIY as you, Joey!

Easy when you space it out and take your time!
very well done, I'm planning on putting a bow front aquarium in the wall so it sticks out a little bit
I can't imagine having a tank any bigger than 40 gallons, and in time when my turtle grows, I'm gonna need an upgrade! :o also this was posted on my birthday, such a wonderful treat!
Amazing work and great tips, Joey! A question: Have you ever heard of placing a piece of foam wallboard underneath a very large aquarium? I am building a 240 gallon into my wall and a local fish store owner suggested placing this under large tanks because the 'give' in the foam will help the tank naturally level itself, ensuring it always stays level and preventing undue structural stress. Thoughts? Thanks!
First off I just want to thank you for inspiring me to build my own equipment and down the road I am planning on building my own aquariums and sumps. So far I have built a auto top off system with a auto shut off safety (when the RO water tank empties out) and a filtering sump on top of my aquarium with about a capacity of 15 gallons made from a old acrylic tank. I think if you had a more powerful light to light your 370 it would pop from that wall, what do you think?
2:52 best advice for any aquarium stuff lol
and so, the badassery continues I had to move my 120 and thought that was tough!
hey i wanted to ask if there is a logical reason why the tank isnt flush or almost flush with the wall?
You are a master
I do renovations for a living and was just wondering if you ever tried running your drywall vertically I find it's much easier for this kind of job especially to make it match up better
Impressive!
Great job. I always want to put a 10 gallon tank in my bar, just never did it yet. Lol
Good job
lol the cleaning up as u go part is facts
Looks great I'm turning an old closet into an in wall aquarium. I'm using plywood that's textured so I can remove panels to access the tank. Do you think I need to use a mildew resistant primer or anything?
You are King!!!
Hi Joey, Did you talk about the filtration on this tank yet?
Looks great I would have centered the accent lighting but that's just my OCD
Just would like some edvice on what's the max size tank for up stairs apt thanks
So i used your stand design and i am in the process of building the wall around the tank this is a 95 gallon reef tank and i am unsure if it is ok to use sheetrock.... moisture and salt creep being the concern the back and sides will have ply wood blocking sheetrock from direct contact with water should i use shower backer or can i save the extra $$$ and not have an issue if sheet rock is ok will standard latex paint be enough to protect from small splash.....
