Thank you Rumi. That’s my signature fried rice. I added charcoal into a container ( clean one) sprinkled some cooking oil to allow the smoke fill up the rice for some mins and that’s the trick to having Smokey party rice

Sister, Urhobos do not add scent leaf to Ukodo but lemon grass.Sorry ,I have to remind you of this cause I am an Urhobo. Scent leaf is used by Ibos.Added,Ukodo is yam pottage Addition of plantain is pptional.

I understand you very well., and i also want you to understand that your method of cooking Ukodo is different from mine. I think its okay to fine tune your cooking to whatever works, as long as its sweet or sweeter. If you like finding new taste in meals, try my method, if you don't, then stick to the ones you know. In this kitchen, we explore, because thats what food is for.
