  • @mazzy2121

    @mazzy2121

    Жыл бұрын

    I always wonder what the rules are when I see other skaters on the ice. Is it like each person/pair gets a little bit of time when they get to use most of the ice but people can still skate on the outer edge so long as they stay out of the way? Is it just common courtesy rules; when you see a skater/s doing a routine you try to clear out? And I also wonder, what if someone doesn't get out of the way? Then do the skaters doing their routine have the ability to adjust on the fly a few degrees right or left to avoid others? Or what if it's couples - how or can they stay synchronized if they do have to adjust to avoid collision? I have so many questions!! LOL

  • @Marcel_Augustin

    @Marcel_Augustin

    Жыл бұрын

    @@mazzy2121 Well there is no specific answer to your questions but I will try my best: If you are in free training sharing the space with others it is generally common courtesy to be mindful of each other and give room. In these setups you mostly know what the others are doing so if you see someone starting a routine you will be mindful of that to give them a chance of practicing it - because you would want others to give way to you if you want to practice your routine. Sharing is caring. And about the adjustments: If you are proficient enough in what you are doing you can make adjustments in your routine without sacrificing synchronicity. Generally, you will get a "feeling" for your partners movements and can read and react to them quickly.

    I've been waiting for an ice dance team to skate to songs like these! I am a longtime Evanescence fan, and since COVID started, I've been following ice dance like a hawk. So in some ways...I'm the "target audience" for a program like this. There's a lot to like here. The lift/flip during the second half was INCREDIBLE. That said, I'm also looking forward to seeing how the program evolves as time goes on. I'm not sure if the choreo "matches" with the music, if that makes sense? I may just have to give it some time to grow on me, though. I initially didn't like the Gilles/Poirier "Both Sides Now" program at all, but now its one of my favorites! Keep it up, Leah and Artem!

    Having the camera follow them makes it so much better! As if you are going with them through the motions and emotions!

    These two kick ass. I watch them skate and women's gymnastics. They both give me hope when I am great need of it and that's all the time. Lol
