I had colon cancer 12 years ago ( had all my colon removed) and unrelated cervical cancer almost 6 hrs ago . It’s important that we survivors speak out to give hope to those newly diagnosed . I feel so blessed to still be here and am now a doting grandmother.

I completely agree with T T's comment about one day this will be a memory. I am a Cancer survivor stage 4. I was young like you are and went through HELL. I know how you feel and what you are going through. You got this! You will walk through the fire and get to the other side. I think it is great news that the cancer didn't spread to your uterus. I will be praying for your quick recovery.
Hello Vanessa its been awhile since I've been on here but I'm so proud of you you got this beautiful woman 😇 i believe in you much. God bless .✝️. I had my last surgery dec 2020 removed my port. But still have to do scans and blood work ever 3 months. I'm in remission. 🙏
I couldn’t help but cry with you. I remember feeling the same way about my body failing and being afraid to fall asleep cause I might not wake up. It’s been several years since my colon cancer journey, so know this too will pass and you will live and thrive 🥰😇🤗👼🏼🙏🏼
I know this is a difficult time for you, but you keep conquering each obstacle with strength and grace. May you have an easy recovery. 🌺
My heart breaks for you. We are all rooting for you. Wish you all the best ❤️
When you cried I just wanted to hug you! I’m so happy you are home now. Continue to rest and recover♥️🙏🏼 you’ll be in my thoughts. Just finished the video and noticed you had complications-hope you’re okay! 🙏🏼🙏🏼😟🙏🏼♥️♥️

@@meghan2802 I agree with that. I know people are concerned with Covid-19 but maybe if her husband could get rapid tested so he could stay with her a couple days? It makes all the difference. I hope that changes soon and hospitals don’t keep it like this....
Oh sweetie, please don't cry💔 We are all with you. Stay strong.💐🌠
I am 70 and I marvel at your courage and grace. I will pray for you every day.Hugs and Aloha
I’ll never complain again. You’re such a warrior ❤️❤️. Hang in there sweetie

You are by far, the strongest, most vivacious, determined, focus-driven woman I know or know of. I know the journey is hard but your willpower and faith will make mountains move. You give others hope. Even when your days seem dark, just know, your light is still shining bright. Prayers for a complete and full recovery. #BetterDaysAhead

I'm so glad it didn't spread. I'm sorry about the complications. Sending hugs and prayers.
Darling, I have never wanted so badly to reach through the internet and gently hug someone as much as I wanted to hug you when you were crying. Gosh it pulled at my heartstrings. You have been through so much, not least losing you dear mum at such a young age. Sending you so much love and healing vibes from the UK. 💘

Oh man! I was wondering how you've been, but had no idea you were in the hospital soooooo long. Rest, rest, rest....you've GOT this sis 🙌🏼
God is good, You will get through this.
Ur slight liver inflammation was a combo from the anesthesia plus pain meds. And ileus is commonly from just having surgery. No worries , and totally agree best rest is at home. I’m glad ur ok! We are here cheering u on 👏🏼.

I know exactly what your going through, 2 years ago I had a temporary one for about 9months, now this year 2021 March I received a permanent osteomyelitis bag, it’s very difficult to deal with at first, but then you get use to it, and thank god your here and still alive and blessed.
Hermosa, just remember god is with you all the time and he loves you very much... bendiciones stay strong y verás que pronto te vas a recuperar....🙏🏻🌸🥰
Always say prayers for you and glad op is over and you can recover now and heal. Take care.
I have been praying for you, I knew you weren’t doing well , when you didn’t post. Praying for better days ahead. My daughter- in - law had to wear a bag for 3 months after having part of her large intestines and small intestine removed because of endometriosis. Her’s was so bad she also had a total hysterectomy, the surgery lasted from 11:30 am to 7:30 pm. She had already had an ovary removed, her Doctor specialized in her surgery and told my son her case was one of the worse top 2 cases he had seen. But she had her bowel reversal and it went well. I pray things go more smoothly for you. Hugs and prayers!🙏✝️❤️
May God give you the strength u need to recover and overcome... sending you huge hugs🙏🏼❤️
Aw this made me cry. It took me right back to my own abdominal cancer surgery. Its soooo tough and such a journey. It does get better but I needed therapy to get my head through it. I definitely recommend talking to someone as its a lot to process. May your recovery be as fast as possible x
Ileostomy care is different for each person, and nobody knows your body better than you. Your body will adapt; however, if I may offer a couple suggestions to possibly help speed healing along safely: Stay hydrated as best as you can. An ileostomy typically results in malabsorption of fluids, nutrients, and medications. "Perative" nutritional supplement has micronutrients which absorb better than "Ensure." It's good to supplement even while eating regular foods. Medications with a coating don't absorb completely. To temporarily slow down output, injest three marshmallows about twenty minutes before changing the wafer/pouch. Lastly, a stoma creates a weakened area in the abdominal wall...try to avoid heavy work so that the stoma doesn't bulge and herniate. Leaks develop as your abdomen changes shape. Schedule an appointment with your wound/ostomy nurse to protect your delicate skin. They'll have wonderful solutions to help keep your skin/stoma healthy. Take care and God Bless🥰
