Miffy is actually called Nijntje. The first book came out in 1955. It's made by the Dutch illustrator Dick Bruna, who unfortunately died in 2017. Still remember his sweet rosie cheeks and funny looking mustache. So nice that his work still lives on so much. ♥️

I have been SO excited waiting for this video and I am so impressed and satisfied!! I love watching artists show their hauls for their trips because as much as I love makeup and snacks I much prefer seeing books/stationery/cute everyday things!! Those are opera glasses. They used to be attached to the back of seats in big London theatres. You could rent them to see what's happening on stage.

Oh how I wish I could speak Japanese purely so I could read that "colour ideas" books. It looks fantastic! I never seen a book like that in England. Just even the way it was set out with the girl and her outfit on every page and then shows a completely different way though exact same colours can be used in such a beautiful style of artwork! Kind of wish I could get it anyway and use Google Lens Translate, and even if that doesn't work I can still "read" the illustrations as they are so so beautiful! Sometimes you just fall in love with someone's art and it doesn't matter if you can't read what goes with it! Also a couple of times you mentioned about not liking the cover of the book, but you like the book itself. So, in England (I don't know about any other countries), we have a saying that goes "Never judge a book by its cover." It's pretty self explanatory, but it's applied to more than just books. For example you might think that the person who's been to prison, violent, angry, scary etc is the big, burly motorcycle guy covered in tattoos with long hair and beard, but its actually the businessman who's got his hair slicked back, a posh suit, well-spoken, f'd clean shaven. She we were judging the man by the way he looked which is the same as judging the inside of a book by its outside - the cover. Just a fun little saying that I thought you might find appropriate anyway! This is only my second video of yours and I'm enjoying them immensely! Love your style!

It's okay to want classy things for sure! But the happiness you get from getting whatever you want (no matter how gimicky it is) is worth it to me :-) I have gotten things because of their quality, but that doesn't mean thats always the best use of money! A fountain pen would be useless to me even if it's fancy - I'd rather get my dopamine from a useless sanrio figurine HAHA
