My Hottest Nutrition Takes

There are so many claims made about nutrition that people unfortunately take as facts. In this video, I discuss 5 of my top hot takes on nutrition and explain why these popular claims are not true.
Lets talk about how probiotics are not essential and rarely helpful, how vitamins are overused, how collagen supplements do not help your skin any better than eating well, how juicing is bad for your health, and how food companies make misleading claims on food labels. In some situations these claims are just bad for your wallet, but I believe that others are bad for your health.
Lets talk about why I have these opinions and what exceptions exist.

    Awesome and informative video! I never took any probiotic supplements, because I follow a healthy diet (free of of processed foods, no sugar) and don't take antibiotics. Coming from Greek background, I love the Mediterranean diet, which includes the fermented foods and home made bone broth. The only vitamin I take is D3. Thanks for sharing this valuable and very helpful video with us Dr. Mark! Much appreciated!❤👍

    What I really like about your videos are that you explain to us what doctors are actually doing presently with prescription drugs and their diagnoses. You reinforce what my doctors have already told me and I appreciate that because I get a better understanding and a better trust in their treatment. Thank you.

    I do need a probiotic due to my diverticulitis and the fact that I despise yogurt or anything that texture , I have purchased SEED probiotics and this has made me regular considering I’m drinking a little bit more water , may I ask how safe it is to take a probiotic for ? Without it I’m afraid of constipation and hemroids ! (I have a custom size gastric sleeve so it’s hard for me to up my fiber intake too much) Please advise @dr mark Cooper
