My honest thoughts on the cut characters • Nigel - I've not really had much depth for him to appear in the TV series, but I'll probably have him replace Madge if he were to be televised whilst Madge could take Owen's Place. • Little Giant - Bit of an unusual name, but I could sort of see him in the TV series because I don't want Mighty Mac to be the only Conjoined Narrow Gauge Engine in the TV series. • The Austerity Engine - Same reasons with Nigel. • Barry - Since he was a "Rescue Engine" I'm thinking he would make a really natural addition to the Sodor Search and Rescue Team. • The Double Decker Trams - They would have been interesting to see, but they could probably introduce Tracy from the Thomas' AVL into the CGI series as well.

I definitely agree with you, Trevor! I think some of these characters would fit well in the Thomas series! Mostly Barry and the Austerity Tank Engine! And definitely P.T. Boomer, I know some fans don't agree with that, but they don't understand that Boomer CAN be useful as Diesel 10's owner/driver!

Barry is now a TTTE fanfiction character so technically he made it, but not how intended.

Great job with the video Trevor! My personal favorite cancelled character from Thomas and Friends is Little Giant it would have been great to see them in season 6 with the other narrow gauge engines but Mighty Mac is still cool! 😎

I did not know about this until now but these Cut Characters have a lot of Potential especially Barry the Rescue Engine.

My thoughts: Nigel: I don't think he was replaced by Nelson. I think he was cut to accommodate Thomas and Percy since they're constantly shown carrying Jack and Alfie. Little Giant: I think they're great for a RWS-esque headcanon with alongside Ivo Hugh in place of Freddie and Mighty Mac. Barry: I do prefer him as a BR Standard Class 2 tender loco like he was originally believed to be. Austerity engine: Idk about the engine being Sixteen, mainly because I prefer the engine as a girl. Vicarstown Tram engines: Idk what to think.

I think little giant is just an yellow version of mighty Mac besides the mountain engines also look like Mighty Mac when it comes to Two faces

Great video as usual. Barry working with Arthur is a genius idea! I'm gonna have to add Barry to the list of many characters I want Arthur to interact with, which also includes the likes of Henry, Duck, Oliver, Murdoch etc. As for Nigel, I do agree that it would've been nice to see him, though I like to think that the reason we don't see him is because he retired from the Pack shortly before Jack arrived, but still does odd jobs around the island.

Well for Barry, Nigel and Little Giant if Wilbert Audrey created them then (unless they still would've been canceled) they would've been railway series classics (unless they get forgotten).

Honestly, Barry not appearing due to kids getting tired of new characters kinda confuddles me. But again, it was for young kids, so on some level, I understand why.

These might make an impact even though they were removed do have a few ideas based on them. Also, even though I did watch Chuggington the series is fine enough with the interesting set of characters and it's world building.

I loved the show Thomas the tank engine growing up even though my favorite characters were the diesels, road vehicles, and the construction vehicles

Even though we already have Nelson and Mighty Mac, I would of loved to see Nigel and Little Giant.

2:47 I am really surprised on what little giant looks like. Anyway, Nigel could be a good character and help out Nelson, Little Giant and Mighty Mac would be great Duo's and great friends and for the Vicarstown Tramway, engines it would be incredible if they did introduce them.
