love it!

I love mine. I have every type of bottle, klean Kanteen, Yeti, every Stanley, some Brittas, hydroflask....the list goes on, yet this is the one I always have in my car and by my bed and when I travel. Easy to clean and easy to use.

agree!! I have yet to travel with the Owala bottle but I predict it should be super easy to carry around!

Btw you should not have condensation, that sounds like the bottle has a flaw. They are triple layered.

That isn’t necessarily true on the scientific part of things. Even if the bottle has 3 layers of protection, if it is placed into a bag, that is a certain temperature condensation is bound to occur if the bottle contains ice.

@PopBandit I guess I forget I live in the second driest state, condensation is not a thing. I went to Hawaii and Oregon in the last month and the cap got a bit of condensation on it.

I think it is a defect. I would definitely contact the company. I live in a humid environment and my bottle does not experience condensation even on the cap. Sometimes I put it in the fridge overnight and when I remove it does feel cool to the touch but I don't experience condensation as the bottle exterior adjusts to room temperature.

Thanks for your review. A couple questions though from someone who has not bought one of these bottles before. First, I'm pretty sure I saw Owala says I could put the lid/straw/gasket all in the dishwasher. Shouldn't that reduce the likelihood of those parts getting mold? Or am I off-base here? Second, I think I saw before that the straw is removable so the parts can all be cleaned. Is it possible to use the bottle without the straw in it? I'm not sure how much I'd use the straw, but I'm liking the leak proof and easy access lid on this when I need a drink.

@@johnpatrick5497 Hi there! I do think the way to reduce the formation of mold is by cleaning the bottle often. But since I do not have a dishwasher, I cannot share my thoughts on its overall cleaning. As someone who uses a straw and bottle cleaner, I can say these tools can help clean the bottle very well! Second, I think removing the straw is totally fine. You are able to drink the free sip bottles without a straw :) thanks for your comment!

Would you have any recommendations for cleaning the O ring inside the lid? I saw Owala commenting that they don’t recommend taking this out because the rubber can tear, but I feel like that area will also be somewhere mold and mildew can grow.

@@lorraelena I’ve never actually took out the O ring but I could imagine it would be a good thing to clean! but then it does seem difficult to put back. If you’ve tried it please let me know!
