    So I had 3 different teachers for AS further maths: (I did CCEA Pure, Mechanics 1 and Statistics) Pure teacher: we (the 7 people in my class) walk into the classroom, pure teacher is already writing on the board. Chaotic. Fast paced, exciting. Mechanics: A NIGHTMARE I hated it, I couldn't mechanics. Statistics teacher: chill, laid back, fun, removed the boringness out of stats

Pure is definitely the best so far, I love complex numbers and matrices, but polar coordinates are quite confusing. Discrete is weird with all the algorithms but game theory was quite interesting. However I want to go onto do psychology at university and although I can get into quite a lot of university with these a levels there are more universities that I could get into if I do a science and I would do this as opposed to further maths. I would do physics most likely. It’s really annoying because I want to do further maths but I don’t want to narrow my options. Got any advice?

  • @icequeen2778

    @icequeen2778

    You could try doing 4 a levels or maybe have the further maths as an AS level instead. I’d also recommend contacting the admissions office of the unis you’d like to go to and asking if they’d accept further maths instead of a science. Also I’ve heard that in some cases further maths can be counted as a science but I’m not sure if that’s true so make sure to check with the uni first!
