As much as we love seeing young aspiring heroes face their daily challenges on their road to pro-heroism, rarely do we consider the other side of this coin - the villain side. Or rather, a villain’s origin. Just think about this for a second: How important are villains in the society of MHA - a society that thrives on heroes and their exploits? In other words, What weight does villainy hold for a hero-based economy that depends on there being villains who oppose the heroes? And further, who is regulated to being villains? And is it even entirely a path of their own choosing?
In this video, we break down some of the systemic factors that may actually push certain individuals towards a path of ‘evil’, and why there might exist a “school to villain pipeline” that inevitably churns out villains. The title of the video is in no way meant to mock but to parallel real-world systemic issues, and shed light on the mirroring issues that exist in this fictional world, and learn from them.
