    Ochaco continues to impress me. No matter how scary the situation is, she'll fight and face it head on. The mob needed to hear that. She has a kind of stubbornness that's admirable.

    There's definitely some level of twisted fate with Ochako having someone she looked up to as a kid and then Toga ends up becoming that person during the War arc. Ochako says, "Please lend him your strength. So that we can all smile together in the future." That's when she remembers Toga's crying face. And she remembers that Toga questioned what she wanted to do to her. I think a part of her wants Toga to be a face that smiles, since she doesn't like it when people are sad. And that's a big moment. She doesn't just see Toga as a villain. She sees her as a hurting PERSON. Like how Izuku sees the crying Tenko inside Tomura. And they both want to reach their hands out to those crying kids. This episode was all about acknowledging how heroes are people first. And now we see Ochako thinking about how Toga is also a person first.

    Its kinda cute to see monoma taking care of eri. Hes actually become one of my favorites just based off how hes trying to help her with her quirk. Its like not just deku, aizawa, and mirio are her family you can see how everyone is staring to become protective and care about her. Like her own superhero family. God i hope the boss wakes up and its because eri rewinds him that would be so wholesome to see her save the one person in her family who still cared for her.

    *I like to think that Uraraka’s speech isn’t just about the situation at hand, but also a turning point for hero society as a whole. I don’t know if that makes much sense, but what I do know is that this still somehow makes me tear up profusely 😅*

    There were hints here and there about the ongoing discrimination. Some of the comments from some of Dekus classmates seemed kinda random at the time, like for example Shoji in season 5 said to pony (when she basically called him ugly) that „people have stayed away from me all my life, this is nothing new“. And if you look closely of who is close to whom in class 1A and how some of the characters are way more mature than others and generally not as social, then it all makes sense. It’s simply not as obvious in the first few seasons, because MHA is basically a coming of age story following Deku, who is also just realising that he basically lived in bubble. And that’s realistic too because as a kid you understand that somethings are not ok, but you don’t really grasp the reality of different people living different life’s and what really is going on in the world.

    To me, it's really okay with people to speak it out. As someone who working about politics, it's the same principle to take here just like a Hero-Society. We've got fame, money and power from people's hope, tax and support. So, when we've failed them it's really understandable for them to lost their trust on us and go ragging on us. Even it's rough situation for all heroes and Deku here, but I think it's really nice that when people start to support him, it's because they feel that way. Not the way All-For-One get all of that by manipulating and exploiting people. Anyway, great reaction keep it up!

    this episode was such a great moment for ochako's whole character. i love how she's grown into her own individual self and i literally never get tired of her spraying out of her nose and mouth 🤣 favorite visual gag in this whole series. also in the manga, the spiky-head guy who defends deku is the guy he talked to season 1 that calls him a fanboy, and fun fact, apparently he doesn't remember deku at all 😂💕 i was sobbing too when kota and Ordinary Woman (lol) ran out to deku too. Also I hate that there's no smooth way to translate it to english for the subs but Izuku's also hearing Kota call him "big brother" for the first time 🥲🥲 because this episode basically wants to ruin you. but yeah im excited for them to get to the visual quirks arch because I didn't think that was an issue that was ever going to come up in the show honestly! I'm excited to see what they do with it

    I don’t buy that people would actually respond in this sort of way. It just doesn’t ring true to me. Maybe it’s that Japan is a “follow the leader” society (despite being a democracy) where ugly truths are hidden and the US is highly individualistic and has been cynical towards authority since the Vietnam/Watergate era. We basically know our leaders are a bunch of incompetent, greedy eff ups. When catastrophic events happen like this, people would get angry at the perpetrators, elected government officials, bureaucrats, maybe minority groups (like Japanese after Pearl Harbor), but getting mad at the heroes who are literally dying or severely wounded makes no sense. Nobody was spitting on firefighters and cops after 9/11. I’m sure the Japanese weren’t throwing stuff at the people getting irradiated trying to contain the Fukushima nuclear meltdown either. It’s more realistic that the people in MHA would say “Those idiots in the government and Public Safety Commission sent our heroes into harm’s way without proper support or preparation! And now we’re all paying for it! Our heroes need more resources! They should have executed All for One when they had the chance!”

  • @666FallenShadow

    @666FallenShadow

    11 ай бұрын

    eh, the firefighter analogy doesn't really work here. their society is extremely dependent on super heroes to function and that trust has been shattered with all the events that happened with endeavor and hawks. cops are a more apt comparison, it's more similar to how a lot of people distrust police officers because of their history of abusing power, using excessive force or straight up killing people.

  • @pdas4182

    @pdas4182

    11 ай бұрын

    I think its pretty realistic considering the world that they've setup. I mean, even in their world, there are cops, firefighters, etc and no one is blaming them. Heroes are a combination of celebrities+cops in their world. People look upto them, they're almost worshipped, they have fans, etc. So despite this blind trust on them to protect society, if things have reached a point where Japan has become a lawless society, it makes sense that they blame heroes. In the eyes of the public, heroes are the ultimate power. So just like people blame politicians in the real world, they blame the heroes.

    They didn't get the half of the emotions because they're watching sub. If it was dub, hearing the dialogue deliveries would have had much better impact on them rather than reading subtitles. It's because MHA dub is so good & for them it'd been better option to hold their focus.

    Yes, but without the sub we can’t get obvious mistranslations. Like when Deku rescues that big Shark/Bunny lady from the bigots and they say “She shouldn’t be out dressed like that!”😂 Makes no sense. The sub snobs never take the awkwardness and incorrectness of the subtitles into account.

    ah yes because when someone is reading subs they somehow become deaf. only people who never watch subs have this problem, when you consistently watch foreign stuff with subtitles it becomes second nature and you read stuff automatically without even thinking about it which allows you to focus on the voice acting and other elements
