Kyla wasn't trying to have a top 10 scary story in her life, but about a year ago her Great Grandmother died. When she passed away it was hard on everybody, but especially hard on Kyla's Mom since the two of them had been really close. Her Mom had been really upset for days after the funeral, crying and missing Kyla's Great Grandma.
A few days after the funeral Kyla and her Mom walked into the kitchen, and there on the table was a dime. That wasn't creepy or weird to Kyla, nothing all that haunted about it, but her Mom just immediately burst into tears.
Kyla asked her why she was crying and so freaked out about a dime on the table, and she explained that there is an old wive's tale that says that loved ones and relatives who have died, and who want to communicate with their living family, will leave dimes around the house for them.
This was a little bit scary at first, and Kyla immediately started thinking about all the paranormal stuff she had seen on KZread, with ghosts and hauntings and other disturbing and scary stuff. But ultimately she ended up thinking it was actually pretty cool, and then, as it happened, she started finding dimes EVERYWHERE. Really, everywhere.
In the bathroom, in her locker, in her drawers and in closets, even in her box of Daphne-O's! After enough scary dimes had haunted her, she had to admit, she started getting a little bit creeped out. One day she was over at her friends and they went to hang out in her room, and there, for no reason, just randomly, a dime appeared on the bed when they sat down.
On her way home she told her Mom about all the dimes, told her that it was starting to get scary, the she felt like the dimes were haunting her and she wished they would stop.
And then, like magic, as if her Great Grandmother had heard from another dimension, the dimes stopped appearing. And in a way, that freaked her out even more. And she even started getting creeped out around her own house. Just like somehow with the scary dimes and all of that they had invited something ghostly and paranormal into their lives.
One night she was doing some school work on her computer and she thought she heard footsteps coming from the hallway. She turned around and there was no one there. She didn't think much of it, and got back to work, when all of a sudden those noises came back, louder and louder, like something was coming for her. She panicked, and ran to her room across the hall, slammed the door and leaned up against it - totally scared, creeped, and freaked out. This was a true, creepy, supernatural horror story.
After that though things quieted down, and there haven't been any strange disturbances since. Kyla misses her grandma, and hopes that she is still somewhere watching over her. Kyla almost regrets complaining about all the scary dimes, since it did somehow make her feel like her Great Grandmother was still watching over her, and, actually, she wouldn't mind a few years worth of collected dimes!

We could have sworn it wasn't there when we all gathered around to review stories.
Later, as we all went back to our desks and workstations, there on the floor in the middle of the room was another dime, a different dime that again nobody remembered seeing there before.
And, it's been happening ever since - dimes and dimes and dimes.

Before my grandfather died, he put down floors as his job. And every time he put down a floor, he'd leave a penny in the floor for good luck. If we randomly see pennies around the house, most likely old ones, then we know he is still watching down on us. Sadly, I never met him. But my dad has told me many stories.

After my first time watching this, I looked on the dining room table to see my pasta...and a Penny. Thinking it was a dime, I ran out of the dining room and looked at my bedside table to see my lamp, broken laptop,...and an actual dime.
No joke after watching this I got up and I was laying on a dime. And the creepiest thing about it is that it is my grandmas birthday, and she died 5 years ago.

About a year ago, I had to go to México to see my uncle pass away. It was very emotional to everyone. After a week of being there, we drove back to Texas. One day when I was doing the laundry with my mom, I noticed a dime on a table in the room. I thought this was my uncle’s ghost because I saw this video a long time ago. About 2 weeks later, we moved to a new house and we still found dimes. I did not get freaked out too much every time I found one because I knew my uncle was watching over my head.

Two years ago, I lost my great grandmother. The same thing happened to me as the girl in this story, but it was penny's and I thought my great grandmother was trying to show us that her soul lived on. She used to love to collect coins, especially the old ones. Just to let all of you know scrolling through the comments, your loved ones are there no matter what.

When im leistening in this story.. I try'd to stand up and check out the Couch I see a Dime i was totally freaking out.. But my freak out was like "OMG I can 'Save Money Ont this!!' "
I've listened to this story before and found dimes in random places after listening to the story. It doesn't creep me out, I have a lot of passed on relatives that I know that are watching over me and maybe leaving dimes are the only way to communicate. And it maybe my late great uncle, he used to give me a roll of quarters for my birthday or if I helped him with his cattle ranch chores like cleaning the stalls in the pen or feeding the cattle.
Why didn't you warn us in the beginning?

I’ve had same experience like you did. So many dimes anywhere and I do not know who it came from and for the last few weeks, I don’t see any more dimes around.

Iv been finding these "paronormal coins" pennies and dimes never nickels and quarters the other day i could have sworn i saw a orb quick backstory my grnadoa died in 2011 and im pretty sure i was paying attention to any signs but after i swe the orb not even 5 minets later yoy guessed a dime now i thought it was strange as the dimes and pennies had not been appearing then a orb followed by a dime

Tbh a reasonable explanation for this could be is that not that you know that that’s a way for dead ones to communicate you start noticing dimes more and more but still idk and especially for the little bonus story storybooth gave at the end can’t explain that
