    For a sweet tooth you can fry a LC wrap until crispy (doesn’t take long) and top it with a sugar substitute/cinnamon mixture and it’s so delicious.

    Thank you so much! I've lost 40 pounds on THM so far since May 2018, and noticed the weight loss has stalled a bit. I must confess I've gotten a little too comfortable with using heavy cream or cottage cheese or nonfat greek yogurt in desserts/snacks every day. I appreciate the alternatives you suggested and will begin incorporating them immediately. Thanks for taking the time to share your helpful tips.

    Good ideas! It's interesting about the brown rice crackers, when I first started I ate the Wasa Crackers (it was one in S, I think) but I haven't had those in quite a while because I can not seem to find them anymore. I wonder if I made sure to get the 10 carbs in the S meals that would help... Something to think about anyway. I get in a rut of eating the same things. We have also been following S dinner with S dessert and could probably lighten that up, too. Thanks for the inspiration!

    I just came across your channel and am loving your content! I post some THM videos on my channel and love seeing others' perspectives on the recipes and how they make THM work in their lives 😊 Is the "little Debbie brownie" one from any of the cookbooks? I looked through all of them but didn't see a recipe for them. Little Debbie brownies used to be my downfall as I was growing up and I'd love to have a recipe for nostalgia. Also, we lived in Anchorage back in 2014-2015! We're in Wisconsin now, but nothing beats those Alaskan sunrises and sunsets! Thanks for sharing and I'm going to check out the rest of your content when my kids go to bed 🤗

    Also what helps you decide to eat a s or e meal or snack? Can you eat all e or all s in a day?

  • @MarissasKitchen

    @MarissasKitchen

    6 жыл бұрын

    I sometimes base my snacks on my next meal. That way, if I get hungry before the 3 hr mark, I can go ahead and eat (2 1/2 hours apart is fine if you aren't changing the meal type). For instance, if I'm having an S dinner, I'll often have an S snack in the afternoon. Sometimes I base it on how my body feels. If I feel sluggish, there's a good chance I've been having too many S meals and snacks. In that case, I'll have an E snack but then make sure to wait 3 hrs until my next meal. If it's a day where lunch is late and it's only five hours until dinner, I'll have a FP snack in the middle of the five hours.

    Hi thank you for this video I am just starting out and I am a drive through Sue this helps a lot. I just have 2 questions Lilly's chocolate gives me an upset stomach and most anything with alcohol sugars seems to bother me. I have tried the THM gentle sweet with no luck. Do you have any suggestions on other chocolate? Also before starting THM I have always bought Light & fit greek yogurt, Oikos seems to both my stomach. Do you know if Light & fit is on plan? It is low carb.

  • @MarissasKitchen

    @MarissasKitchen

    6 жыл бұрын

    Hmm...I wonder if the THM chocolate chips would bother your stomach since the Gentle sweet does? Ghirardelli and Lindt carry an 85% dark chocolate, if you can handle really dark chocolate. I will eat that by itself sometimes. I have melted it down and added sweetener to it before. If you find an on plan sweetener that doesn't bother your stomach, that might be an option.

    I bought the book, and the cookbook. I get the jest but once I look at the recipes, they seem like a lot of ingredients. I also wonder how far away the meals and snacks are. Wouldn’t having so many meals and snacks close together like every four hours is that enough time for the body to actually burn what is on the body? The stored fat?

  • @MarissasKitchen

    @MarissasKitchen

    4 жыл бұрын

    Great question! Three to four hours is their recommended time between meals and snacks. Sometimes 2 1/2 hrs if you're not switching fuels. I space mine like this: 8:00am breakfast 11:00 lunch 2:30 pm snack 5:30pm dinner 8:30pm snack OR 7:30am breakfast 10:30am snack 1pm lunch of the same meal type as your last snack or FP 4pm snack 6:30pm dinner of the same meal type as your last snack or FP 9pm snack (I always have a snack before bed for blood sugar reasons)
