You have to try the Dior Backstage Rosy Glow blush in the shade Bronzed Glow! I have been wearing it as eyeshadow and with a VERY light hand as a blush on my light-medium skin. I think you will love it as an eyeshadow with your blue eyes.

I have been wearing the JI hydropure and pressed base on repeat ever since I watched your favorite foundations video. I used your tip to apply it with your fingers, and that has made such a difference in the way it performs for me. It is my new favorite foundation! They are really different. The rephr 22 is a lot bigger and not as tapered as this one. I love them both, but you definitely don't need both.

Hi Mandy! Love this look!! Btw, I was at Nordstrom recently and went to the Chantecaille counter. I’ve been meaning to get the foundation to use as concealer forever! I didn’t remember the exact name and the lady wasn’t very helpful. She said the foundation is very sheer so she didn’t think it would work as a concealer. She only had one pot foundation and another compact foundation. Anyway, I was in a hurry and didn’t have time to look up the name of the foundation you recommend. I plan to go back with the exact name of the product to get color matched. I guess my question for you though is do you find that it’s sheer coverage? I have similar under eyes to you so I’m assuming that if it works for you, it should for me too. I was just thrown off by the Chantecaille rep, lol.

Well, that is disappointing that she was immediately dismissive of the foundation as a concealer. It isn't full coverage by any means, but it is more than sheer. I would say light, buildable to light medium. But I have said that I will definitely sacrifice coverage for wear as I get older, so I am not as picky lately. Please let me know what you think once you give it a try. And let her know that you personally know someone that it works AMAZINGLY for. LOL

I’m so confused 🙁 lol I always follow and trust you and Brianna. I ALWAYS check ingredients and stay away from products with denatured alcohol high on the list. The Jane Iredale Hydropure has denatured alcohol as #5. Isn’t that drying ? And damaging to skin ?

I haven't had any issues with it; my skin feels more hydrated with this than with not. But I did reach out to jane iredale regarding the ingredient when it first launched, and this is what they said: Denatured Alcohol is commonly used in moisturizing products throughout the cosmetic industry. It serves several purposes in HydroPure. It helps the beneficial ingredients in this formula penetrate deeper and better, thus optimizing the product performance. It helps with texture and viscosity enabling the product to go onto the skin and blend even more easily. It works hand in hand with the glycerin improving the absorption and performance of it. We want to clarify that Denatured Alcohol in this product will not dry the skin. It evaporates very quickly leaving all of the other hydrating ingredients behind to condition the skin. It is only one ingredient in an ocean of humectants and other moisturizing ingredients.
