Man, those Eyevan 7285’s have swagger 👍🏻! Also, when you mentioned the JMM Dealan’s were in your prior video I had to go back and take a look - those too, nice! And great with the tinted lenses. The more narrow frames work better for me, so I doubt I could pull off the Dealan’s but they are you! Very Nice collection!

Nice video bro, graduated from vintage cartiers and buffs to now all my glasses/sunglasses are Chrome hearts (wearing DEEP I as we speak lol) except a couple LV pieces. Just discovered the JMM Enzo, how would you compare the quality of JMM vs Chrome Hearts and also the value for price? One thing you pointed out is that they are heavy, are they more heavier than the Chrome hearts? as CH has a lot of big and heavy acetate frames as well thanks

For me personality I like JMM more. Just bought another pair today. From my understanding the old creative director for chrome started JMM. Regarding quality I would say they are one par. I think JMM I better value for money.

I recommend reykjavikeyes if you want the most comfortable glasses

Wondering if the ones with prescription frames have different prescriptions, and how you manage bouncing between them. I'd love to see a video about glasses collecting and how that works: how has your taste evolved? how do you feel about tints? Where do you go for lenses? How do you juggle updating your collection when you get a new prescription? That sort of thing would be great.

If you are interested in the DEALANI'S, I have a pair that I wore probably twice only bc I have huge collection of frames. Some owners would wear them every day but with my collection I hardly get to put them on. I have the organal packaging as well.

@@scofieldp2352 Thanks for your reply! After writing that comment, I went back to the store and tried on a bunch of JMMs, only this time I wore contact lens. I ended up buying a Dealan and a Fellini ahah. The Fellini is a very hefty frame, so I turned it into prescription sunglasses. What you said about the Dealan is absolutely true, so I chose to make it a clear pair. I would certainly love to get my hands on another pair of Dealan glasses, perhaps a different colour, but I am still a student so I dont reckon its a good financial decision to own 3 JMMs. Expanding my JMM collection is certainly something I dream to achieve tho lol

@MrHani619 I totally agree with the notion of owning a 3rd pair bc they are a bit costly and as a student, i know every penny counts. Down the road, think about giving one of your JMM a slight tint such as a 12-15 % color, it would change the entire dianmic of the frames and how you look in them incomparison to clear lens. Try it and you'll see the huge difference in your confidence when you put them on.

stupid question maybe, but where to you get prescription lenses for sunglasses you have bought elsewhere? My optician generally only make lenses for glasses they have sold

I haven't had that problem but I could totally understand why they wouldn't want to. If they break the frames they are responsible.

hey man - always been interested in JMM - but the price was kind of holding me back as it almost seems way too high to validate - what did you mean by 'value for money'? just a genuine curiosity. do you think they provide like 2x the value of something like a persol or etc.?

For me personally. Yea. That are definitely more expensive but they are also independently owned everything is made in Japan and they have a pretty good resell value. These are most definitely designer glasses so you're paying a premium but after wearing them for a few year I like the resell value and overall look

Yeah I use my flex spending and have prescriptions put in wear them for a few years then sell them once I’m done.

Do you think all Jacques Marie Mage glasses are worth it? Or only certain models? How are their quality/how they are lasting? I found a pair on sale but I have never spent that much on a pair of sunglasses 😅

Cartier glasses are $3k now? Makes me feel so old. I've had multiple pairs of Cartier I purchased new for a fraction of that. I think back in the day they were like $700-1200. I remember how difficult it was trying to explain the shape I wanted the rimless lens cut. Not even sure what I did with them maybe tossed them when I was moving before clothing resale was such a thing.

You can purchase them @ 1200 -2k still when you get into the wood & Buffallo horns then your talking foot all numbers. As you mentioned, I remember purchasing my very 1st wood frames from Cartier and @ that time they were 1200 back in 95.

As long as the weight at the nose bridge of the frame is less than the weight at the ears. It won’t feel heavy

You can ask them to cut the shape bigger!

wait the deep are 1800? i was quoted 3k from an optometrist, those are wood and yours aren't so i wonder if thats' the difference.

I wonder whether JMM prices have inflated inordinately over the past couple of years. Up until two years ago I purchased many pairs of JMM’s each in the $500 - $575 price range. My recollection is they were pretty much all in that range where I was buying them. Now the same optometrist starts all their JMMs at $800 and up.
