Wow I do not know how you guys could have stayed in that house. I would have been scared 24/7.

Around 6 years ago, when I was falling asleep, I heard someone moving a book across my desk without lifting it. It lasted for 2-3 seconds and it scared me quite a bit. I felt it was one of the late members of my family so I asked him/her in my thoughts to plese stop it since it scared me. Several years before that, when I was on a school trip, we visited a beautiful church, and we sat in there for several minutes. I was saying a short prayer in my own words and I felt a light touch on my right shoulder. I wasn't scared because that felt very warm and friendly, as a response to the prayer.

Swear...she's the best story teller ever! Do more story time!

Post mortem photography did exist back in the day because getting pictures taken was expensive so they would only do it when someone passes away so if the pictures were a victorian family portrait it is mostly likely someone in that picture is dead.

Who came back here after watching Sophie’s latest ghost video? Also! Sophie looks so different here. I love the softer look she has now.

I had the sitting on the bed thing, my parents bought a dog with me as I was a kid and they thought he would comfort me, however it just made it worse as the dog would wake up and bark, even to the extent of being up on his hind legs ( he's a Labrador ) up against the door snarling . At that point I slept every night in my parents bed and it did affect us all. I would feel something smoothing my hair and pinning it behind my ears. We ended up moving house through unrelated circumstances and even my parent admitted that they would hear increasingly loud footsteps moving down the corridor . We moved from a 300 year old English cottage into a modern suburban house and I slept through the night in my own bed for the first time since I remember, I am 100% with you

Crap, I'm wide awake during the day with the sunshine pouring through the windows -- and I'm far more weirded out than I should be. My sleeping pups are keeping me from flipping, they notice EVERYTHING, especially the girl. 🐕🐕 😲

I would never sleep with my back turned towards an open room, I always sleep with my back facing a wall.

Hi Sophie thanks so much for sharing. Your story completely adds up especially islamically. In Islam, it's written that God created 3 beings: Man, Angel and jinn. Jinn are made from smokeless fire and live the same as us and have free Wil etc. They are supposed to live in their own world but sometimes some jinn end up interfering with humans as their only advantage is that they are invisible to us but we are visible to them. Baring in mind the house was vacant for so long, It sounds like the jinn made that their home and were not happy with your family moving in. Bringing the priest was the best idea, as Jinn can only be warded off with the name of God. It gave me goosebumps while you were telling your story because in Islam it is also written that animals can either sense/see JInn that humans can't. And that actually fits in completely with your story! You are so brave to actually go through what you went through that night, and its best that you showed them you are not afraid of them. You mum is also right not to want to discuss/dwell on it, as the jinn relish on terrifying people. It's better to show that you are un afraid. If you want, Google 'Jinns' and you will come across a lot which adds up with what you have talked about. Thanks again for sharing!

I can't finish this. 2 minutes in, and your background gives me goosebumps LOL

when I was 5 I lived in a house across the street from an abandon hospital, nothing really happened there until my older step sisters moved out. A lot happened there and it still bothers me to this day. my grandma was babysitting me one day and I was in my room playing and she comes in yelling at me asking me if I did it, I had no idea what she was talking about. She takes me into the kitchen and all the cupboards were open straight out, and the bottom ones had springs on them so they wouldn't be able to stay open by themselves and the two bar stools we had were sitting next to each other in the middle of the kitchen. After I told her I didn't do it she called my mom and had her come home from work. she didn't want to believe anything was going on. through out a month a lot of other weird things would happen. my grandma would throw our toys up the stairs and they would be thrown back down at her. Our cat was even thrown down the stairs, I've never seen the cat so freaked out. she looked up the stairs hissed and literally ran away. in our upstairs bathroom there was this little door next to the sink and after all this started going on we opened it, there was a desk in there and a cross sitting on it. we didn't know what to think. later that night when I went to sleep I was woken up by steaming hot water being dumped on me. there wasn't a bucket around and I screamed for my mom and she was convinced something was going on. she went to get me a towel and by the time she came back in my room my bed was completely dry and so was I. our upstairs was set up like you walk up the stairs, straight was my room to the left was the bathroom, my sisters room was straight across from it, my sister was 1 at the time and I couldn't sleep and she was crying so I went in and brought her into my room. I looked into the hallway and saw this black figure go from the bathroom to her room. I grabbed her ran downstairs and woke my mom up to come see. when my mom went up the stairs to tell me nothing was going on we saw two black shadows one was smaller and they floated from my sisters room back to the bathroom. After that happened we did research on the house and in our basement they use to do abortions. We called a priest and he told us to take pictures down there. in 2 of the pictures there was a skeleton against the wall and in the other that we took by the corner of our basement the corner was all black, and we used a flash when we took them. the day the priest came it was my kindergarten graduation day. he told me I had to wait outside while he went around the house. 20 minutes go by and he runs out of the house and leaves. my mom told me the black shadows were following them when he was doing his prayers. all I remember after that is moving out of the house, leaving some of our stuff and my mom told us to never go in the house again.

I had similar experiences in my home and I almost had a heart attack when I felt someone sit on my bed. Prayers and safe bundles!

These types of stories scare the crap out of me. I am familiar with these experiences - I would try to dismiss them as my own imagination to try and comfort myself and my mother would get mad at me for being so paranoid. I believe in good and bad spirits and I can sense them and tell them apart. As a young child I vividly remember hearing someone walking across the carpet down my hallway and into my bedroom. I would be woken up in the night by the sound of something walking closer toward me and I would cry most nights because I could sense the negative uneasy atmosphere. My mum dismissed it and tried to convince me that I was just hearing my own pulse! Even now as an adult I still remember the terrifying feeling that something evil was coming closer and closer. Nothing could provide comfort once I heard the footsteps and felt its presence. Later on in my childhood I got sick. I lost a lot of weight, my social life went down the drain and I refused to go outside. I was a nutcase to say the least. Those 6 months I endured horrendous anxiety attacks - one causing a serious car accident on the way to school. Yeah I was troublesome. I constantly felt like I was being followed and watched. I remember waking up and seeing people standing in my bedroom doorway - glaring in at me. I did a double take and nothing. No one. I thought I was going insane. To this day in random scattered situations I see figures of people watching me from afar and I do a double take and nothing. Just a few months ago I woke and saw a small silhouette standing across the room. I rubbed my eyes and looked again. Gone. Your story gave me chills and brought up a lot of freaky memories.

Hi Sophie, just watched your 10 year update on this and came back here to rewatch the original video. I have been interested in the paranormal world and read up many books on it. Based on what you described in both videos, it seems like there's a mixture of unrest spirits and potentially mild demonic activity going on. Spirits or ghosts are those who have roamed the earth in human form whereas demons have never roamed the earth in human form. There are limits to what spirits can do, they usually repeat the routines they used to do when they are alive, like going to bed at 10pm and sounds of switching the lights on/off. Spirits usually are unable to move heavy objects. Demons on the other hand, tend to cause cold spots in the house, wake the house up at 3am as it is the unholy hour, cause either goo/excretion to appear out of nowhere, clusters of flies around the house even though there's nothing to attract it, etc. It will also cause a sense of doom/dread over humans in the surroundings. You mentioned that things started off as just footsteps and the presence will be at the door but unable to come in. It then slowly developed to coming into the room and throwing duvets over to the other side of the room. It's usually due to feeding off strong negative emotions from your family such as fright or being upset and helps it gain strength to heighten the previously merely annoying activities into something more sinister. Thank goodness your family managed to get a priest over before things get even worse.

I was at a friend's house one day and we were discussing her "ghost" who walked around at night etc, and while we were sitting at her kitchen table, her large, heavy wallet flew across the table and onto the floor. When I left, it was dark, and as she turned on the outside light, we were horrified to see my (white) car was literally covered in rat shit. She has no rat problem. It never happened to anyone else.

So, as a Catholic, one way we explain or understand ghosts is that they are in a particular state in purgatory, and they are assigned a place on earth. Usually, it’s a place that was dear to them when they were alive, and they need to work something out in that place. We’ve had ghosts in our church, and our priest explained that when they make themselves known, it’s because they want us to pray for them, to help them move on the the next stage. Now, I also think it’s a lot more complex and complicated than the above explanation, but it’s something to work with. Personally, I’ve only recently (two years) ago, had a situation where a spirit visited me. But it was really weird because they were still alive (and are still alive). It was this evil woman who had just stolen my friends husband. My friend had shared with me all the horrible details, and I had personally known and once been friends with the woman who ruined my friend’s life. That night, I woke up to intense moaning, like the moaning of a soul who was intensely miserable. At first, like you, I thought that I had dreamt it, and even though the hairs were standing up on my back, I tried to fall asleep. Then, I heard it again. I jumped up and looked around because it sounded really close. Again I tried to rationalize, and thought it might have been my roommate either crying, or my roommate...having bad sex idk lol. I checked to see if my roommate was home. She wasn’t. So I tried to sleep again. And it happened a third time. Now, I don’t get the point of this horrible woman wanting me to pray for her if she could easily get out of her own situation by herself. But I do think she wanted to be known. She wanted her suffering to be known. I wonder if those ghosts in your home were intensely lonely. And in a way, they wanted to be a part of your family. I think they would do those annoying things to get your attention, I do think the covers thing was intentional. But like us, they’re scared. They are shy and while wanted to be known badly, don’t want to scare the shit out of you. I’m wondering if they needed to forgive the fact that they were so lonely in that house, work through that pain, forgive the situation. Sorry this is so long and now you probably think I’M crazy. But I do think those two strange ladies very much wanted to engage with you all, but couldn’t- for very obvious reasons.

I would’ve told my friend my neighbor my teacher my principal my dog my cat the police the fire department the news. Everybody would about that😂😂

Ok here goes mine, I do not believe in these things however I have had a few experiences that I really cannot explain. I'll tell you one, we lived in a house that had been owned by someone who had been a criminal. A lot of weird things happened in the house, one of them happened when I was around 12 or 13. We had a dog and we wanted him to come into the house from the patio, we had a piece of wood that would stop the door from closing (it was a sliding door), we kept that piece of wood on top of the fridge when the dog was not outside, and at night time. One night as we were all in bed already and it was well past midnight, we all heard a THUMP, my parents woke up and as they were going downstairs where the noise had come from, they found the piece of wood in the middle of the stairs suspended halfway in the air, halfway in one of the steps. This was a heavy piece of wood, till this day we have no freaking idea what happened.

I got so scared listening to your story. The bed thing also happened to me. I thought I was imagining it the first few times, but one night freaked me out the most because it got physical. Just as I was falling asleep I felt a strange presence in my room and I heard footsteps, and I felt something slowly sitting on my bed, then I felt it touching my feet and my back and I just couldn't wake up or snap out if it and it was so tiring, like I was fighting to wake up or get up.. Sometimes it starts happening again but I can wake up now and it stops and doesn't happen for months. I'm so freaked out about paranormal stuff and don't like watching movies about it because I genuinely believe it's real. BTW I love your channel, I aspire to be like you one day, you're one boss ass lady

Oh my God!!! I also grew up in a very big old Victorian-style house in the North Eastern United States...my family and I experienced many strange, scary & unexplainable things in that house. The house was lovely....it was humongous; however, it mysteriously burned to the ground on the night of December 10, 1979, at 1:00 in the morning. Thankfully, we all managed to get out alive! To this day, it has never been determined what caused the fire, or what really happened.......but there was a lot of accelerated strange activity going on with the house the week prior to it burning down. My parents are now deceased, but my brother, sister & I still talk about it once in a while. I love your videos! I am a recent new subby, and I've been binge-watching your videos when I get the time. :)

Hi Sophie, I've only just come across your video channel this weekend, and this was the fourth video of yours I watched.. I've had quite a few ghostly experiences but my first was one night driving home from work. I live in Cambridgeshire and the town I live in was on the outskirts of Cambridge and I was working in the Grafton centre in Cambridge. This was in November/December time and was dark when I left work, I came home via A45 that it was called back then, but they were doing roadworks and I was diverted to go home through the back roads. Now I had just brought my first brand new car which was a metro, this is going back to the 1990's.....lol and I had just got passed all the bendy parts of the road and I was on this very straight road, now the radio was on but I had turned it down low to concentrate, all of a sudden the radio came on loud, the air came rushing through the air vents even though they were turned off, and I had a full tank of petrol and the petrol gauge was dropping before my eyes !! I also did not want to look in my rear view mirror as I knew I would see something I didn't want to see. I didn't feel like was on my own in the car and someone was on the back seat !! But as soon as I turned off this particular stretch of road, everything in my car returned back to normal. Now people kept telling me it was the new electrics in the car, but it never happened again after that, and since then I've heard other stories of strange things happening on that stretch of road. They did do death photos. That was a thing. When someone passed away they would dress them up and pose them for a photo to remember them by.

Hi Sophie! I personally haven’t experienced anything like this but I do know my Mum has, my Mum her Sister and Parents moved into Dunfermline Golf Club. The actual house it’s self is a 14th Century Castle! My Mum loved staying in such a unique and different house from her friends. My Mums Parents and Sister left to go on holiday one year and my Mum stayed at home because she had work commitments, so one night she came home late after work and was tired and decided to just go to bed. Her room was a very generous size and in two corners of the room she had a turret one she converted into a dressing room and the other just a small sitting area. So as she dozed off she heard a massive bang coming from outside her bedroom door. So she woke up to find that the planted palm tree next to her bedroom door had fallen over and made the loud bang! So she cleaned up the mess and headed back to bed, before closing her eyes to go to sleep she was facing her dresser table that was in front of the window and she saw her hairspray can that always sat on her dresser rise up slowly into the air and suddenly fall onto the floor. So she became extremely suspicious as to what was going on in the house so she called her friend to ask if she could stay over for the night because she felt lonely by herself with what was going on so she ran down stairs to the sitting room to put her shoes on that she Kicked off after getting in from work (which I have to mention she done every day after work) she noticed the shoes were not there and couldn’t find them so she ran back upstairs to get another pair of shoes. Whilst running up the stairs she saw her shoes fall down a few steps from the top of the stairs! She quickly put them on and dashed out to her friends! The next morning she was working in the golf club so she headed back to start her first shift of the day and half way through working she noticed a slightly older woman arrived and asked to play golf my Mum said sure and went and got some golf clubs and came back to the woman to find that the woman dressed in slightly old fashion attire had disappeared. So my Mum resulted to checking the cameras to see where the woman went and there was no sign of the woman leaving or even arriving so my Mum left it and said to her parents the next day when they came back from their holiday... Now years down the line we found out that Mary Queen of Scots stayed there when it was one of her stop off points from traveling. I shall leave you to think what you want now... #Spooky

I feel you! I grew up in a house that was haunted, or at least felt like it. It wasnt an old house but there were old houses on the street being demolished. Weird things happened, also footsteps in the hallway. Me and my sister felt very uneasy in the kitchen alone as sometimes it looked like a weird man-like shadow was in a far corner (no new furniture). Also the family dog one time late at night started aggressively barking upwards the ceiling and then ran to the other side of the house and jumped on bed to bark at an empty corner. He didnt bark at mice or anything like that which sometimes found their way in the house walls. Also the dog would sometimes shift his stare next to you as if something was there. You’d think a bug, but bugs move and dogs heads follow them, he just stared.. 😳 All this came and stopped eventually. But if it wasnt for the dog I could have brushed it off! 😄

I don't know what this stuff is or why it can interact with people, but we can't see them. Perhaps it is inter dimensional beings or something, but I've had a few experiences. One old, and a few recent. in my old house, there was a closet between bedrooms, connecting them and it had an attic space in the ceiling of it. Every time I'd be changing, I could feel something come out of that closet and watch me. It would sit on my bed, watching me. Sometimes I'd see my blanket move as it sat. Finally, I got tired of the pervy thing making me uncomfortable, and I said "I see you." It flew off my bed, past me and up into the closet and never came back. I live in a new house, built very recently, and never felt anything here, until one day, home alone, something small flew at me from behind, hit my shoulder and ricocheted onto the floor. I searched and searched, but couldn't find what it was. I have hard wood floors and should have been able to see it or sweep it up. Then I began seeing shadow people peeking around corners at me and my kids suddenly became afraid to go to the back of the house alone. Then one night, my kids crawled in bed with me and a few hours later, something smacked down hard at the foot of the bed. I sat up, and checked on my kids, one was at the top of the bed, by my head and the other was on the opposite side of the bed. Neither one could've slapped the bed and gone back to where they were that quickly. After that, another night, I heard shuffling in the room, woke up and as I was falling back asleep something knocked into something else, but I couldn't find anything out of place, but the closet door open. I have also come home 3 times in the day time to find my porch light on, when I know it was off when I left.

Sophie, I had a similar experience to yours only I was a good deal younger. I was about 5 and my mother, myself, and my younger sister, who was not yet a year old, lived in an 1800's farm house that was converted into 2 apartments. My first experience happened at what was my nap time, we lived on the ground floor of the house and because of its age the house had a strange configuration, as it originally had an outdoor kitchen and no bath. You had to walk through the kitchen down or short hall to the bath and through a door inside the bath on the left into my bedroom. As my mother walked me to my room we heard a strange rustling noise as though someone was in the room, just as we walked into the room out of the corner of my eye, I saw what appeared to be a figure go under my bed. Needless to say, at 5 my reaction was to go into hysterics and refuse to stay in that room ever again. It prompted my mom to move me into the nursery. My mother and her sister, who rented the top floor would often hear the rustling of long skirts and footsteps from the front of the house to the kitchen. We vacationed with her parents often and we came home from a trip to find all the canned goods stacked from floor to ceiling and no evidence of an intruder. Soon after my mother moved us both into her bedroom, she often had the feeling of being watched in her bed and she awoke one night to the same feeling, as she went to check my sisters crib she realized that my sister appeared to be in a position in the crib as though she were being held. We moved out the next week. It has made more open to what may be out there that we know little about, but I still always try to rationalize what took place and even if something happens to me now I always question and analyze everything for a logical explanation first. I am new to your channel but love your format, it feels very real and open, like conversing with a friend. It's very enjoyable to watch.

just after I was born my mum kept experiencing the same thing as you with "someone" sitting on the edge of her bed, it started in the hospital and continued at home and in the evenings she would see my cot slowly start to rock gently when she was nowhere near it. she thinks it was her late grandma and I definitely believe her!

Hi Sophie, interesting story, just found your channel. Love it. You know some unfortunate people when they die, their spirits don't go to the other side but stay here with us but with out a body. They actually enjoy when you feel them because it makes them feel like they have a body. In your case, it was just a spirit of a person who didn't go to the other side. Best way is to just talk to them to go to the other side to be with their family and friends and so they can be reborn again. When my grandma died ,her spirit came to me in a dream and talked to me but she went to the other side. People when they die, their sprit is usually confused for a few days and then they go to the other side. That is why you get so many people have out of body experiences when they are high on drugs or in huge accidents. They see their body below. In your case, the spirit was probably of the old lady and she wanted to take care of the house . The priest helped because he actually talked straight to her and told her what to do, she/spirit was confused! Hope that helps , lOVE From Czech R.

Hi Sophie! I recently subscribe to your channel because of your informative reviews. I too had experience paranormal activities in my family home when I was 18. It all started when my sister saw a white female figure with long hair in my room one night. From then on, my family were harassed but the unknown. My mum's feet would get pulled by something when she was sleeping. My sister was attacked physically and one night in bed, she felt something hit her head really hard on her head that she got a bump. The worst would be my brother's possession. I had to watch my brother be taken to a hospital to get tranquillised. It was a hellish time for my family and we later found out that it was my uncle who sent these evil spirits to our home. I got a few spiritual healers to help cleanse our house and slowly, things went back to normal. I know I sound crazy sharing my story. I tried to explain these happenings with facts and logic but I couldn't shake off that weird feeling.

There are definitely more things in this world than we are generally aware of!! Thanks for sharing this. I too was a complete sceptic about ghosts until my first pregnancy. i was about 7 1/2 months pregnant and was woken out of a deep sleep by someone pinching me really hard on my hip. I turned to say WTF to my husband but he was sound asleep and facing away from me! As I turned back I saw a man at the end of our bed! He walked across from my husbands side of the bed to mine and with his hands palm up and outstretched towards me he came at me! I was so freaked out I buried my face in my husbands back and shook him awake to tell him, we put on a light , he didn't see anything and I'm sure he thought I was just dreaming. We lived in a cottage that had been built by convicts (rural Australia) that had been shackled to the walls in the cellar of the huge house on the property. Our neighbour confessed he had a couple of strange experiences in his cottage as well but didn't say anything until I told him of my experience for fear of being thought a nut! Scared the crap out of me!

It was in my best friends apartment and " something pulled away the duvet. Two elderly unmarried ladies were living there like 20 years ago. I had to cry listening to your story, it reminded me so much of my own experience. By the way, I think you are just gorgeous and I love your chanel. I always totally trust in your opinion and I never buy anything without watching your comments. Hug!!

Been binge watching your videos since I found your channel, so this is a super late comment...but the footsteps and light seem like they could be residual energy. Liken it to a recording of an event that took place over and over again, hence walking the hall to switch on the light. The bed thing is freaky though! Maybe the ladies didn't know they had passed and thought you guys were intruders. Anyway, love your channel- your stories, advice, your take on things, etc is just so fun to watch. Thank you.

When I was 11 in the middle of the night, I had a vivid nightmare of a black shadow of a tall man figure killing my family and then when it came closer to me I just saw darkness for 3 seconds and then I woke up scared out of my mind but I figured it was a nightmare so after about an hour I fell asleep with the lights on. I woke up, the day started out normal until my dad and brother left to go to the store. I was outside roller skating and my father reminded me to close the garage and the garage door, which I did when I came inside. My mom was taking a nap in her room so I went to my room to watch TV. The way my bed was positioned, you could see straight down the small hallway into my brother's room. I was sitting on the edge watching tv when I hear the garage door SLAM. I called for my mom to see if it was her...went to her room and saw that she was still sleeping. I knew I was not crazy but I decided, after checking the house (it was pretty small), to go back to my room and chill out. I was looking down at my feet when I sat on the edge of my bed and when i looked up I KID YOU NOT the same black shadow from my dream came out of my brother's room and into the living room. At this point I flipped out and decided to tell my mom what was going on. When I crossed the living room into my parents room the black shadow was hovering over my mom but disappeared when I saw it. When I woke my mom up to tell her about my dream/experience she told me that she felt as if something was shaking her while she was sleeping but she couldn't wake up. Since my family are Christian, my mom called her friends to pray over that house. That wasn't the only thing that happened actually my mom had an even more terrifying experience but that's another story. My dad also felt as if something was watching him every morning before heading off to work, like as if something was standing right behind him. Lets just say, we didnt stay in that house for too long (my parents were renting it) lol.

My family consists of me - the youngest - and two older sisters. There was something in our house I believe. My middle sister use to experience most of it, she use to run up and down the hallways when she was very little screaming and saying someone was running after her. But we'd all 'seen' something or felt a presence at one stage in our lives. What you described about your sister feeling a presence up to her face is the exact same feeling I'd have for years. It wasn't until I was old enough to realise it wasn't normal that I started to truly pay attention to it. But the feeling of that presence always cast a dark shadow over me when it came, and it was always at random times. I found out when I was older that a brother and sister has passed in our house. My sister believes she had seen the man but I had never actually seen anything specific. Thank you for sharing your story. I hope it's comforting to know that others have had similar experiences. Xx

I just found you! Loved this, I subbed 😊 I had very similar experiences in my childhood/teenage years. I didn't tell anyone other that my mum. It was the worst at around age 15 but started when I was about 8. By age 11 I could see a few, feel them and hear them. It was terrifying! They would throw things in my room at night. I still see them sometimes at age 34, but not very often. I'm not as scared now, but my children speak of seeing things too.

Oh my god Sofie, at 4:31 got chills because I had such a similar experience! I too am very scientific I believe that we are all made of energy and sometimes the energy of a past soul remains with us (aka ghosts). My sister & husband had just moved into a super cute, but old house in Long Beach, California. About two weeks later my boyfriend and I had a break up and I moved in with them for a bit. Right away things started happening ...we would hear the front door open, footsteps down the hall, and then another door closing....everyday for months. I wouldn’t happen if we stood near the door waiting and watching, but would always happen when we were chilling in another room. Also, we would come home to all of the clothing in one specific drawer would be out of the drawer and on the floor. 🤔 Other things would happen too, but don’t want to make this post too long. The thing was, it was NOT a negative feeling ghost, although it would always startle us and give us lots of excitement. About six months later things started quieting down and now, 16 years have passed, my sister and brother-in-law still live in the same house and all is calm. We think it was the nice old lady who was the previous owner who wanted to let us know that she was still there too. (We also had a dog that would bark at the strange occurrences, but would never growl. 👻👍😊

😳 *Yikes! When you were talking about the shuffling, I could perfectly picture an old lady in her pink bathrobe and slippers shuffling down the hallway and flicking the light switch on her way to bed. Creepy cool!!* 👻 *I live here in New Orleans, Louisiana and my building is literally surrounded on three sides by cemeteries. (Graves line all along outside the back wall of my apartment- **_that_** close. I live on the end of the city that isn't 10 feet below sea level like everywhere else, so this is the only area in the city where you can have gravesites, because when it floods the crypts aren't popping open and having caskets floating down the streets.) Anywho- my friend had come to pick me up to go out to dinner and she was waiting for me, parked on the side street right in front of one of the cemeteries. (I must first explain that these cemeteries are PACKED full. Gravestones and crypts are so close together that the only place to walk are the designated pathways that wind and loop around the gravesites.) She said that she saw a guy dressed in white running through the cemetary, in a straight line, headed towards the road. At first she was puzzled thinking "How can he be running that fast around all those headstones? There's no way!". But when he got closer to the road she could see why- he was running **_THROUGH_** the headstones! She said his body would just slide through them as if they weren't even there, and when he got past the cemetery fence and nearly to the road (approximately 10 yards almost right in front of her) he just vanished.* 😱 *Until that day, I had never seen a person "white as a sheet", but now I have because when I got into her car she looked as if all the blood had drained from her face. To this day she won't come near my block. If we go out, I go and pick her up instead.*

You are such a great story teller...it's like sitting with you, late at night and listening to this...similar things have happened to my family too, in different ways, wish I had not seen this at night, alone at home, ha ha, will rush and see another video of yours to turn my mind off of it.

I watched this earlier today and now it's currently 3 am and I just couldn't get this off my head. I had a share of these "paranormal experiences" here at our house as well, and it just vanished when we blessed our home and when it was renovated. For example, doors opening, stuff falling, and all those creepy things. This video made me think about all those things again and made me quite scared that I had to ask one of my relatives to sleep at my room for the night! Amazing, and I believe you..I have had strange experiences and esp myself..yes most ppl who have not experienced these types of things find it hard to believe..at times of great stress etc and when great changes take place/or are about to occur..these types of ethereal events can take place. There is a very spiritual realm at work in this world. The bible says "for we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places" Ephesians 6:12 But we have overcome by the blood of Jesus Christ. There is power in His name. Whenever something feels off in my home I pray out loud, saying " I rebuke the spirit of fear in the name of Jesus Christ. For God has not given me a spirit of fear, but one of power, love & sound mind" (2 Timothy 1:7) This instantly stops it. I hope this helps

I have not be been affected personally however I believe in houses being haunted and it's really scary, I cannot begin to imagine what it must of been like, but I'm glad and happy that it's gone away, I was really spooked about the the duvet on the tv part!! 😭😭 loved the story nonetheless , thanks for sharing

I am so glad that you shared this. I live in a large three story home in the United States built in 1750. There have been many strange events here also. I photographed the house while empty and there were figures staring out of the first and third floor bedroom windows. I have the house on the market and look forward to moving. Unless you have lived with it most people just don't get it. Really enjoy your channel!

This kind of thing has happened to me as well. When I was 13 my mum and I moved to a small 2 bedroom house in a small city. Very first night I go to bed, I am sitting in the middle of my bed, which is set against an indoor wall, and I hear what now I know was knocking. Not 2 or 3, but really fast maybe 30-40 times on the wall, around my body. I actually did not realize at the time it was something supernatural, (stupid, I know) but, other stuff kept happening. Like my bedroom door and floor had a larger than usual space in between them, and when the light was on in the hallway, I could see a shadow blocking the light in the crack a few times. It only happened maybe 2 or 3 times, but from what I remember it looked as if someone had been standing on the other side of the door. Also while I was away once, my mum had a similar experience, where she could not only feel but could sort of see someone sit on her bed. What I mean by that is that there was a dent on the bed, and when she jumped off, the dent stayed for 3 more seconds then slowly lifted off. And The biggest "clue" was that the owner before as hung himself after years of depression, up in the attic, and on the spot where he did it, the would be stomping sounds so loud, that the wood on my mum's ceiling would develop cracks and some would brake off. Since the wood was already much dryer in that spot.. Luckily we only had to live there for a year and a half. I don't know how you could stand living in that house for years, I was experiencing extreme levels of anxiety. I could only sleep with my TV on, so it would cover any weird noises, like the occasional knocking. Although after that first night it was never so loud or so many. "It" must have thought I was not scared, when in fact I was just stupid, and it usually bothered my mum more. Also when I was off from school and my mum was working I could hear movement from her room, but really quiet, like if it was trying to not get my attention. First few times, I opened her room - to check no one came in through the window -, it would get completely quiet, and there would (luckily) be nothing to see.

it could of been the two old lady that lived there earlier. i know you said that they died in the nursing home but because there were still stuff left of them when you bought that house the spirit could of came back and i have heard that some spirit do what ever they can to get their home back. i don't know if I'm right but i have heard lots of similar story like yours and in most of their stories people would mention stuff about the people that lived there before and how they died in that house or lived there but died in an accident and they came back to claim their house.so i think the one of the two ladies or both of them were trying to get their old sweet home back from you guys. i don't know but thats what i think.

Wow, this story was so intense. I really believe you. I once read somewhere, that little kids and especially dogs are more open to events like that, like really sensing this weird stuff as your dog did as well. I think people should be more open about strange things happening like this. I would never mock a person if they told me about a similar experience. Not wanting to sound weird, but it sounds very plausible to me, that these two old ladies came back or are even trapped there after their death, to the really only place that made them feel good in life. Wether their spirits are good or bad I don't know. I assume they might be protecting their home, thinking it's still theirs, therefor they're actin creepy. I don't want to sound weird but I heard similar experiences before! Anyways I really hope things will get better for your family still living in that house! x

Hi Sophie, I have had the same thing. My husband and I moved into a unit. At night I would feel like something would watch us as we slept in our room. I would take a shower and see a face appear. Then evening I was on the couch and saw avwhite figure come down the corridor. I fell asleep on the couch and at 2am heard banging coming from the bedroom. I woke up to find my husband's shoe in the doorway facing out. I would lock the doors and find the flyscreen shut but the door open. I also sensed something outside that seemed like it was watching me. I then had a psychic come in and rid it out the house. We soon moved to another unit and similar things started to occur. I would have things coming out of walls, appearing in mirrors, banging on furniture, shadows appearing in my lounge, my cats going crazy, light bulbs exploding, something pushing on my bed, and then one day I was on the couch and something banged on the window. The next thing that happened was my bag went flying across the room. The TV that was on went static, the cats started running up and down the corridor and I got the hell out. Again I had to get a psychic in to clear it but it came back. We soon moved out of there. We now have our own home and things happen from time to time but as my mum passed I sense it's her. I apparently would see things from the age of 2 and I can also communicate with spirits that have passed. So the whole thing taught me I am psychic!

I agree with TyNee. If it is EVERY house, then it is not the house. You believe that you may be clairvoyant. There may be a connection, but you need someone with the proper skills to go deeper.

Hi Sophie, Thanx for sharing your experience! It had to be incredibly weird and unsettling... I have a friend whose house was haunted by a veiled woman/shadowy figure for years!! All three occupants saw her at different times... She would typically come into my friend's bedroom and sit on the edge of her bed... They all felt that she wasn't a mean spirit, but they wanted her gone... so they hired a spiritual exorcist who came and basically got her out of the house! I 'm glad your parents no longer have to deal w/ the weirdness!!!

Hi sophie.. i just found this video.. you had 2 spirits in your house.. dogs can sense the spirits or ghosts... im glad the priest came. He cleansed your house and sent them on there way by the sound of it.. if the shuffling is still there it could just be residual energy... fingers crossed... but yes the spurit world does exist.. some people dont like talking about it...but i myself can see and talk to them..a gift i was given when i was 11.. after a traumatic fire on xmas eve.. it was me and my brother in the house. My mum had taken the clothes out a flatley and put it on the bed before work..lucky my dad came in when he did..we were alone for 10minutes..literally...the whole duvet mattress went up in flames...my brave dad pushed the mattress out the window.. hence my mum and dad slept downstairs on xmas eve..he saved us.. From then i started seeing and hearing ghosts..when i was 13 i started seeing them too... Now i help people who want to contact there loved ones who passed... i also do readings too.. Me and my sister have had similar experiences, but we saw shadows. My mum said she remembers my sister talking to someone not even there. She freaked out. She also saw my grandfather the day he passed, she was only 5.

Hi Sophie, I'd say that it was one of the sisters that used to own the house. Sometimes when people pass over, they have no idea that they are actually dead & they really can't understand why there are other people living in their space. Most times they will just sit on the bed & watch (usually if you acknowledge them it settles them). There is obviously a huge attachment to the house for both of them & no harm came or will come to you guys. There are also instances where older people have been put in a nursing home & are still alive & project themselves back into the house they were living in because it was a place where their memories were made & the new inhabitants have reported strange things happening. Actually I had something very similar happen. It was weird because it wasn't an old house, it was the apartment i grew up in that was newly built when my parents moved in. But when I was about 13 or so, my parents left on a trip to another city and left me home alone for the night. In the middle of the night I suddenly woke up because I was cold. My covers were in the middle of the room and I thought to myself how odd that was and that it had never happened to me before but I thought I must have thrown it while sleeping or something. So I grabbed it and tried to go back to sleep. But then I started hearing someone slowly clapping by the foot of my bed. I was scared like hell and started praying and I remember I had time to say the Lord's prayer almost 3 times before it went away! So I was definitely awake and scared. And it stopped and I waited a few seconds and ran to turn the lights on an couldn't sleep after that. Called my parents at 5 AM and they came back the same day.

Sorry for my bad English! When I was a child, I used to experience the same "slipper walking" from downstairs to my room (I lived in a 4 floor house and my room was in 3rd floor). My bed was in the same position as your and I was always hearing that noise of someone's walking right into my room then standing next to my bed and staring at my back then like draw "it" last breath (if that make sense to you cause I dont know how to explan???) There was one time I brave enough to finally turn my back to see if that anyone there (I was even hope it was my parent) but no one was there!!! Other time, I played in my room and saw some one walked through the door of the room (in that room) that opposite to my room (that room is for worship and have an altar- Im an Asian btw), and so I decided to see who is that I see no one in that room! And other time, I even see a black human shadow in that room. I was told my dad to check and again, there was no one there. I can relate to your story so bad omg

That is so scary ! My best friend never likes being alone esp at night. During sleepovers she always asked me to walk her to the bathroom. I didn't understand at first but later she opened up to me and told me she had some paranormal experiences. She's very normal and has no mental illnesses. She also never lies and I could tell she wasn't making it up esp since she was so scared of being alone and always wanted me with her. She told me stories of hearing things in the hallway when everyone was asleep. Her entire family experienced it too and it was super scary.

I have to take my hat off to you for being so honest. The fact you all remained in the house amazes me. I’m sure the only regret is that your mum didn’t go to the church sooner. Thank God you all remained safe during this ordeal.

How creepy 😨 just discovered your channel btw love your personality 😉. I've experienced a few creepy situations but cannot imagine enduring anythinf close to qhat you did on a regular basis (without going nuts) 😂 1) I was 15 my mom had gone out buy some groceries (daytime) and I was watching some soap opera laughing my bum off all of a sudden the soubds on the telly goes off I hear small little footsteps wet footsteps that run from the corridors (where our bedrooms were) and white cold "smoke like" breath starts coming out of my mouth as I keep breathing (you know like when you are in the cold and breath..) when the footsteps get closer by the sofa I was sitting in all my hair and body litlle hairs raise I litterally have my full load of hair up, I could not breathe, nor talk, I was trying hard to scream, shout nothing would come out of my mouth finally It unblocks me (without mw feeling any pressure on me !!!) like I was paralized and all I find to say was : w-h-o ? And it left

OMG I totally believe in your story. Thank God I didn't experience anything paranormal myself, but the people I lived with did and I witnessed that. It was when I lived at my aunt's, at that time she was leasing two rooms out of three in her apartment to other girls and myself weirdly ). And the girl I was staying in the same room with used to tell me she couldn't sleep normally 'cause almost each night she was woken up by someone softly patting on her back and when she looked around she didn't see anyone. That girl moved out and another came on her place, they didn't know each other. I moved to the other leased room to stay with another girl, and the new girl one day said 'Did you guys ever feel like someone's patting on your side at night in here?' And that totally freaked us out. She merely asked, but when she saw our freaked out faces she wasn't as calm anymore, and btw she slept on the same couch that the previous girl slept on. A lot of other weird and scary things happened to that girl in that room while I lived at my aunt's, and when I moved out I still kept in touch with girls, I heard there were a couple of new girls experiencing the same things and one of them once even cried at night at seeing some figure of a man with moustache at the doorway of that room. Nothing ever happend to my aunt though, she is atheist and was sceptical about all that. At one point she stopped leasing rooms and her two sons moved in, who previously stayed in another place, they're both over 40 so I don't hear any stories from them and don't discuss it with them, btw my aunt's departed husband used to have some sort of mental disorder, I have no idea if it could be him and if he weared moustache, 'cause I don't remember seeing him. But we all girls who lived there share this experience.

This was very bone-chilling.I don't want to believe in ghost but your story is so realistic. Im going to have a hard time sleeping tonight. Did you preserve any of the 50s style/decor/physical things? I like to keep things that are very old. I have a 1985 Kodak camera and very old black and white photographs from my grand ma's.
