Thank you for being so open, honest and realistic about not having perfect skin and being a skin picker. Plus helping us to be ok with what we can’t cover and teaching us to cover what we what we can without looking like cakey messes. I’m a fellow skin picker. I have hormonal acne, closed comedones and anxiety. Skin picking is common with anxiety. We’ll find the teeniest tiniest imperfect that is often times not acne or a blackhead and pick at it. So often I’ve picked closed comedones or what looked like a blackhead and was just an enlarged pore and squeeze so hard that my nails have broken the skin and caused this huge open sore on my face. It’s embarrassing when someone asks about scabs, wounds or scars I created from nothing. How do I explain to someone that my anxiety is so bad that it causes me to find imperfections in my own skin that aren’t there I pick at them until I bleed or cause a wound? Most people don’t understand that.

THANK YOU FOR SAYING THIS. Like you said, so many people don't understand this. I never talk about it because I don't know if it's related to anxiety or a form of OCD (maybe both), but it's definitely hard to control. And I'm the same way... I'll pick at something until it forms almost a bruise underneath an open wound that turns into a scab. And it looks like I'm shooting heroine into my face or something. I'm sure part of the reason mine won't get better is because I continue to pick, and it's spreading. But I can't stand to look at them. But thank you so much for commenting this (and for watching, of course). I hope my videos help in some way.

It’s hard to say in certain company but you make this feel like a safe place to discuss this type of issue. According to my therapist with anxiety you almost get a tinge of OCD asking with it which is the issue. Lucky us! I’ll always watch your videos!

I'm so glad you said that because I've always wondered if they were connected. Thank you for that. It explains a lot. My husband always gets onto me for picking at my skin because it makes it worse, and he doesn't understand the mental struggle behind it. There's so much more there. How long have you dealt with your acne?

@@TheGlamourIndex Thank you. There’s definitely a direct correlation. My husband gets on me about the picking too and doesn’t understand the mental aspect of it either. I‘ve been dealing with acne for about 13 years now. Never had as a teen, didn’t start getting it until my mid twenties. Gotta love hormones! Every time I think I have it under control and my face gets clear I start breaking out again. Without changing up my skincare routine adding in products taking out products it’s so dang frustrating

I feel you, girl. No one can understand acne and the struggle of it unless they go through it, especially as an adult. Have you heard of Winlevi? I just started hearing about it for hormonal acne! It's not supposed to disrupt your hormones, though. Maybe that's something you could look into!

Hi! I’m mostly oily too. Normal on very outer perimeter of my face. Just from temple down to jawline. I’ve never used the Saie primer before but I do have a good long wear routine if you’re interested and the finish looks airbrushed, not dull, chalky or cakey. I plan all of the events for my work and work 14 to 16 hour on event days. My make up has to stay on all day with very minimal time for touchups

YESSSSS to mini sizes of almost everything. I own so much makeup that I will likely never use a full size of anything before it goes bad. Even if it's a higher price per ounce, I'd be okay with it.

@@TheGlamourIndex I had SEVERE CYSTIC ACNE for years and nothing worked. Did 7 months of accutane and it cleared me completely! 9 months post accutane and it came back! Not nearly as bad but it's consistent and seeing new spots every day! I was even using tretinoin and it still came back. I'm going to try Spiro and tret and see what happens. If not I'll do another round of accutane. For accutane, it literally changed my life (I didn't know what the skin on my face looked like due to having acne so bad for so many years) however, the dryness was sooo bad! I didn't have any serious side effects other than being dry, and achy at times. Some people take accurate and it looks like the never had acne a day in their life.. for me that wasn't the case. I have tons of scarring/texture. Im very thankful for the time I had being clear and will do another round of accutane if needed. But for me it wasn't permanent unfortunately and it's a lot to go through!! I found products that actually worked to manage the dry ass skin, towards the end of it. (go figure lol) sorry if this is all over the place, my child is climbing all over me! Have a great night! 😁
