The design of that car is beautiful

My father owned this coupe in red as Granada with a V6 Maschine with 108 HP. It was such a beauty.

Same year as i was born, but this cars in much better shape.

It was my first car in 1979. Same color and it was like the first love: I got butterflies in my stomach every day. And you never forget your first love! Bravo, this car looks excellent just like new!

This car brings back memories. My granddad had one, with that lovely V6

I have been driving this beast in the early 80ies... the same colour...what a great car it was. Wasn't cheap to drive as it needed a lot of fuel...

In late 80 i had a Consul Coupé,same as yours✌🏼my was in yellow and twas 1972,same year I was born 😉 Best of luck with your car,it’s really beautiful 👍🏼

I loved these cars esp in this Arizona Gold , perfect colour for this car , i always wanted the 3.0ltr coupe but alas never found a good one

Yes i think so too, and the black top workes with that color. :)

There was 5 engines: 1,7 -2 ,0 - 2,3 -, 2,6 - and 3 litres. In France my father had the 3 engine V6. Wonderfull car,specialy in Coupé. Congratulations from Portugal

1973-78 we had a consul coupe 2.0 in onyxgreenmet.

My uncle had a 74 3.0 GXL was nice 👍

Beautiful car... but a bit difficult for George Carter to get out of the back seat in a hurry...

That was my first car! (1984) It was painted light brown metallic with flake! (horrible) 90 km/h highway it took 1l/10km. Back seat suuper soft😄

That rear design is sweet

This is a rare thing. In the UK, only the later coupé was sold, with the flatter lower edge to the rear side window. This shape never came to us. And when the coupé did come, it was only with Ghia trim. The condition of this one is exceptional. My first drives on the UK (not legal) were parking my boss's Consul 2500 automatic (4-door) on the local multi-storey the car park and then walking round to collect it at the end of the day. The exhaust was blowing and it was a slushbox, but I still felt like a character in The Sweeney. Wonderful big old lumps of Ford .... O think the 2.5 V6 was a UK model, but there would have been similar ones elsewhere....

beautiful car, I owned a 72 Granada 2.6l coupé, but added the Consul grill as it looks much better than the Granada's grill (even it wasn't original). Only thing I don't like are the wheel rims, for me the original steel rims look better, but of course, that's a matter of personal taste.

In very good Condition. My Father drove this coke bottle design Coupé with 1.7 l 75 PS Motor between 1978 and 1984. Very beautiful car.

Jeg vokste opp i en Consul med denne fargen. Riktignok stv. men.. Min første bil var en -79 Granada og har en -82 Granada i dag. Det jeg savner mest med Consul er Ford-historiens tøffeste grill!

Noooo!! Keep the alloys - they work. Not original, but the look works. Rare as hen's teeth car. My dad had a 2.5L Consul sedan in purple (Original colour, and would have been very nice had he looked after it). Dropped a 3.0L in it in the end then lost his license for a bit!!
