The watches are a real hidden gem, and your playing guitar is out of this world. I could listen to it all night. The finger movements are mesmerizing. Thank you.
I agree that Longines is a great value in dress watches. They also have a very classy diver in the Legend Diver, a compressor style dial. (Impressive guitar work!)
I'm a big fan of all Longines, but my pick is the Legend Diver.
There is, I think, a tendency to view Swatch Gp through its brands as though its brands were business units. This is, of course, the way all the luxury groups want you to see them, and I think that Swatch makes a special effort to make people view Omega as very distinct from the rest of the group. It really helps to imagine the Longines stable as part of the Swatch stable, and read across not only movements, which is natural, but design, which is more difficult. You've invited us to look at Longines design language, and I think there really is a Longines design language, but it also reads across to Tissot and Omega products. Thanks for another sterling presentation, and thank you for the music!

You could say the same for other watch groups like Richmond or LVMH, overall watches that target similar markets are going to copy each others design languages. Swatch is just an umbrella these companies still operate independently with their own CEOs and design teams even if they share ETA movements. I'd say a good equivalent would be car manufacturers with the sharing of engines, transmissions and chassis but overall still being separate independent entities for example the VW group owns Škoda, Audi, Lamborghini, Bentley, Porsche and Ducati yet you wouldn't consider these all Volkswagen cars.
I'm so glad I discovered your channel, Tim! I agree with your thoughts about Longines; my current favorite is the Heritage diver bronze, but I would own any of the 5 You mention. I'm really enjoying your back catalog of videos!
Oh my...a watch enthusiast who can channel Django!! Bravo on the review and the gorgeous swing jam at the end.The Silver Arrow speaks to me and I've been a Longines fan for nearly seven decades. Thanks!!
I'm a fan of Longines! I own 5. I recently installed your leather strap on my Longines Avigation BigEye (black dial) and they go so well together! Amazing quality.

That watch is on my '22 shopping list. The amount of glowing praise I hear for the piece has won me over despite some stiff competition. There's no shortage of great re-issued chrono's out their atm.

@@anthonysmith2982 Yeah man! And the movement is amazing for the price as well. You get a silicon hairspring, vertical clutch, column wheel chronograph and 66 hours of power reserve. Most of the competition only gives you a standard 7750.
This video made me a new fan of yours and I look forward to the next one I have to watch. I'm really glad I found the Caseback Watches channel.

So many Longines at once - I think I'm in love... I'd go for the Conquest Heritage; second place for the Silver Arrow, third place for the Flagship Heritage, then the Spirit, and finally the Tuxedo. But it's the clash of Titans, really.
All of those watches are beautiful, the Heritage Conquest (somewhat surprisingly) is my favorite. Thanks for the discount code Tim, I picked up one of the straps. Vielen dank!
Loved the video, especially the final part superb. Thank you!
I picked up a Conquest last summer and it has continued to bring me joy. Truly a tremendous sports watch with a ridiculous water resistance rating.
The only omission in this very nice nice video is the gorgeous Heritage Sector Black Ref. L2.828.4.53.6. I think this is the most elegant of the whole collection and it looks especially nice on a beads of rice bracelet, but would look sweet on aged leather as well. Thanks for your work, Tim. It's obviously a labor of love for you and we appreciate it!
Tim; that guitar solo was the tops. You have mad skills! More please.

@@eyeheartsushi2212It has been my first luxury watch. Unfortunately, I bought it advertised as mint condition and unworn. However, the case has been overpolished and is not symmetrical anymore. Since, I was new in the business and unexperienced, they found someone to scam. This timepiece will stay forever with me because I am too honest and and I am unable to sell on this watch. I paid a low price though. The dial however, is simply beautifully executed. It is really busy that you can stare at the watch forever. It is not an easy watch to read because there is a lot going on: - the date on the edge of the dial. - the 24h and seconds hand on the 9h pos. - Month / Dat / Chronograph sub dail at 12h - Moonphase and chronograph sub dial at 6h It is jewellery for men. Mine has the movement L678, I believe, which is the ETA 7751. Its power reserve is 48h. I have found it too little. The updated versions have a much better power reserve. Since I am not wearing this watch every day, I put this watch into a programmeable winder. It is a pain in the arse to set the watch when it has not been worn for a month or so. Otherwise I like wearing it. I like the unidirectional winder of the roter because sometime you feel the watch being alive on the wrist.
I come for the watch info and then pray that there will be his sublime music at the end. Bravo!
I love Longines watches. I have a Longines Flagship and would love to add the Silver Arrow to the collection. Excellent selection of watches for this video, they're all beauties!
Came for the watches, stayed for the great guitar!
Your guitar playing is a joy to watch and hear - thanks for the wonderful music (and musicianship!)...
I came here for the Longines; I stayed for the Django-inspired guitar. Thank you very much...That was delightful.

I just got the black dial Conquest Heritage for my 18th birthday, 35mm sizing is just perfect. Such a good alternative to buying original vintage conquest from the sixties, I don't need to care about servics cost of a watch that's so old.

Nice watch, the originals were actually made between 1954 & 1959
Longines take a back seat to Tim's mastery of the fret board .Mightily impressive on all fronts. The Flagship is the pick for me , timelessly elegant and beautiful.
Nice guy. Nice watches and a nice song. Thanks Tim!
Tuxedo is my favourite here but I like the Big eye best, great revue and fantastic guitar, much appreciated as always
The Longines are music to the wrist but your Am9 and diminished 7's are true music to my ears!!!
Longines are wonderful. Very stylish and a varied choice for not ridiculous money.
Love the Conquest and the guitar. Bravo!
Thanks Tim , Another great video 👍🏻

Thanks for watching!
I really enjoyed the video, for both the watches and the music. Thank you! My watch preference would probably be for the Silver Arrow. It's a real beauty!
The Heritage Conquest in 35 mm is the perfect vintage style dress watch out there. I was under the impression they only made it in 40 mm now.I own the Flagship Heritage which has a great mid century modern minimalist design ,38.5 mm but wears larger.
The silver arrow and the flagship are my favourite from the bunch. Great selection. PS: I need the caseback's spotify playlist!
My favorites are the Tuxedo and the other one with numerical indices but all are very nice thanks Tim. 👍👍
Thanks for the song - a real treat.
I have delayed my response here to ponder the subset of Longines within my collection. I have 3 Longines. I think by themselves, they could be considered a perfect 3 piece collection. My blue Hydroconquest is my most worn watch for work and it is generally my beater. My titanium Big Eye is the perfect casual, comfortable, stylish piece. It is truly a brilliant watch. In lieu of a dress watch, my 44mm Heritage Military has become my default watch for going out to live music shows, which I do a lot. It is perfect for this because of it's large high contrast dial that is easy to read in dimly lit venues. These three could fill all my needs with great style and great comfort on the wrist. Thanks for inspiring this little thought experiment on the state of my collection.
Great video Tim - I have to say my favorite Longines in my collection is the Admiral from 1970 (reference 8581) - I was able to find a NOS example with the original vintage signed bracelet. Such an amazingly cool watch. Loved the tune at the end - you have true mastery of that Django style.

Been looking at Longines for a while now, want to add 1 or more to my collection, but the catalogue is so deep and wonderful it’s hard to narrow it down. I do love the new Spirit titanium though, wow.
I like the heritage sector dials
I visited the Longines Museum in Switzerland in 2019. I mainly collect vintage watches but I can also appreciate vintage inspired modern timepieces. This month I picked up a Nivada Grenchen Super Antarctic, vintage inspired by the 1950s watch used by the US Navy during their Antarctic expedition.
Tim great video, I bought a Longines Masters 38.5mm earlier this year and love it as my new dress watch.
Even though I'm not the biggest fan of cursive writing on dials (or five gaudy stars...), I can totally see the appeal. Especially their heavily faceted applied indexes are a feast for the eye. Longines and Oris are certainly the champs in this price range. Cheers!
HydroConquest almost a decade not had a day I regret it's purchase, Wonderful Brand.
Tim, I agree with your taste in watches and love your videos!!!

Longines are a great brand with a nice back catalogue to choose from. For me the pick would be the Heritage Sector with the silver dial and blued hands.
I ended up selling my Tuxedo chronograph, but my Longines Heritage Classic Sector Black on the beads bracelet will stay!
Also a huge fan of Longines - as well as Tissot. My favorite is the Hydroconquest although the Conquest is more classy and versatile .. I also like the Spirit and Master collection.
Fabulous music 🎶 bravo 👏 Longines seems to be getting the plaudits it deserves. I have the Longines Hydroconquest Ceramic, stunning 👌
The conquest is my dream watch. I’d love to venture into longines for my first expensive watch.
Very nice, been looking at Longines to add to my collection. I may have to pop on the Conquest. 39mm for around $1200. Great guitar picking . I know that song.
Love my longines heritage chronograph tuxedo and the three hands tuxedo, fantastic pair from Longines.
I bought the Longines Heritage Marine Nationale. It is amazing. The dial and hands change appearance during the various lights of the day. Unlike most I like how the lugs do not taper down-maybe because my wrist is large enough that it makes the 38mm seem larger. I covet owning one of each of the heritage line. I wonder if Longines puts 30m water resistance, whereas it is actually more, to help with the warranty (making us nervous of water).
Each so good. The Conquest (35mm) is on my wishlist.
I just tried on the Tuxedo, absolutely stunned by it! Please include lug to lug in all your videos.
Love Longines. Love the music. Love the discount ❤️
Amazing guitar soloing at the end.
Can't go wrong with the Spirit. It's a perfect watch design. I love it especially in white with the grain dial; blue with the sunburst is also great. I wish it came in a more classic size too (and that means smaller, though I appreciate it's a pilot's watch).

Love the music! Bravo maestro!
Hello. I love Longines too, my pick would be the Spirit, which is the most widely useable from your list. I have purchased the 42mm titanium version, because that one is with no date, fully symmetric dial with the most beautiful colors. I love it. Thanks for the video, as usual.
I own three Longines and I'm very pleased .My favourite is the Tuxedo but my next one willl be the Legend Diver Bronze. Great music!!
Thank you for the music Tim!

You‘re welcome!
Lovely watches, but imho they'd all look so much better without the date - pretty much why I don't have one. I liked the Tuxedo most, but the black & rose gold was very attractive. Thanks for your music, after years of playing bass I'm just starting on a baritone ukulele, really enjoying it too, & makes me appreciate all the hard work and time you've put into it - certainly worth every minute. Cheers Tim 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Thats the most useful complication, IMO. Also, the placing of the date on Longines is a big part of the design of the dials.

@@deansusec8745 but it's only useful once per day (unless you have memory issues)& ruins the dial - a power reserve would be far more useful imho.... Just wish with & without date options were both available then we'd all be happy & they'd get more sales.... Thanks for your comment 👍🏻

Amazing video...I allways had a softspot for longiness concuest herritage, and is a proud owner of such, in rose gold. But I have to add that your'e a guitar wizard ....that broughtthis clip to new level
Modern (and vintage) Longines are a great value for watch collectors. I have a mid-50's Longines dress watch that I really like. I also had a modern Longines Conquest that I purchased (used). It, unfortunately, didn't fit my wrist very well and I sold it on. The Longines Flagship reissue is one that's always interested me, though.
Great video as always. You should add Longines Heritage Marine Nationale to the list.
Love the Conquest Heritage and the Flagship and might get one of them in future, but my pick for an everyday watch was the 39mm Conquest automatic with blue dial. Lovely blue sunburst dial with high polished numerals and indices as well as hands - no lume on this version (the white and the black have lume), but you don’t need it - the high polishing reflects any fraction of light so well, that I can read it at night just from the dimmed down instruments from my truck. The H-Link bracelet with the butterfly clasp is a marvel that hugs my wrist extremely comfortable and gives the watch a sporty elegant look. Dressing it up or down with some leather straps makes this watch a perfect one-watch-collection and a go-anywhere-do-anything piece from beach to opera. For an Msrp of 1080,-€ this watch with 300m waterresistance is a steel!!! … and don’t forget the 70h of power reserve and the antimagnetic silicone hairspring from the L8.88 movement

What can I say?Fine watches and very fine guitar playing. Thanks Tim...................................
Hello Tim, This is really a nice selection of Logines watches that you present. For me, the Flagship Heritage would be very interesting, I like the size of the watch and the design, and I don't currently have a model with a small second in my collection. Nice piece at the end, by the way! Now I finally know what always puzzled me about your guitar...the fret markers. Five, seven, TEN, twelve :-) I instinctively think that where your tenth fret is, it should be the twelfth, and from my angle the neck of your guitar seems extraordinarily long.
Love the guitar playing - great music.
I like the Heritage Classic Sector Dial, the black dial.
Nice petit bouche Selmer style guitar, I have a Longines 1958 Silver Arrow original, still going well. The Silver Arrow cars were the 1930's Auto Union and Mercedes cars, way ahead of their time. I like the Longines Spirit watches I have the earlier 1915 styled one Longines made recently with the 41mm Cushion case, also a current favourite is the L2.793.4.92.0 40mm with Blue dial, very simple but much like the classic Seiko 5 from the 70s in some ways, another favourite of mine in blue! Nice video.

I have not looked at anything from longines for a while, but this one caught my eye , the heritage 1935, L2.794.4.53.0 it’s a square case, and looks stunning, might have to track one down..
Love my Conquest Heritage 35mm. Absolutely beautiful at an affordable price. Looking at the Legend Diver next. Longines, as well as other "entry level" brands such as Mido, is my sweet spot.
If only the lugs weren’t so damned long! Brilliant outro!

Great song, reminded me of "bésame mucho" at the beginning.
Great selection Tim. Silver Arrow is my choice.
Great video Tim, thanks. I've been looking at the Longines Tuxedo, and also at the Oris pointer date in blue/grey. The Longines is beautiful, but seems thicker than it needs to be, and only 30M water resistance. The Oris in blue grey does not come in 36mm, just 38 (or is it 40?) . Both watches are great, none are perfect for me.
Longines, a good honest no frills quality product. Still got and wear my Heritage Flagship, my Lindbergh Hour Angle Chrono and my Weems Navigator.
My Longines Flagship Heritage is a nicer watch than my Rolex OP39. And I picked it up for $900 used. Added a Forstner bonklip. It's gorgeous.
The new rectangular with arabic dial is pretty tempting actually.
Longines is my favorite watch brand and I have seven different Longines watches in my watch collection (including the Longines HydroConquest, the Master Collection Chronograph Moonphase, the Lindbergh Hour Angle, the Avigation BigEye, the Heritage Classic Sector Dial, the La Grande Classique de Longines, and the Longines Presence). I agree that Longines has the best price:value ratio of watch brands, making it affordable for me to own a few different Longines watches. I love the history of the different Longines watches and the elegance of them. Tremendous watches by a tremendous watch company.
Love the choices here's one I would add: L2.909.4.92.0 this is a watch I really want to possess in the future. Maybe as a 32nd birthday gift to myself?
The Avigation Big Eye is an absolute beauty too !!
My favorite Longines are the Heritage Sector Dial, and the Dolce Vita. But now I’m looking at the Flagship as well.
The conquest was on my list, in the early 2000's, but I got distracted, lol!
Great guitar performance!
I'm seriously considering the Flagship Heritage, but the Silver Arrow is quite stunning. And holy bananas ! Do you play guitar professionally? Wow !
Owning the Spirit titanium in 40mm for some months now, I can confirm all Tim is saying about this model. Furthermore, the black and guild elements of the titanium version make up for an even more classy watch. @Tim: if you want, you can use my photos for a review anytime, like you did before with my Omega Constellation C-shape.
