Yes sir, trucking has changed tremendously. I started in early 2000’s and it was totally different. No elds, only paper logs, no damn gps you had to write down the directions turn for turn 😂😭and use the map to find the closest interstates when we got lost. I miss those days

I’m looking to switch over to tankers & ride my days out with a hood company. Im only 1 year of experience trucking as of now & companies require minimum 18 months. Most 2 years experience. So I have to wait it out a bit longer.

Hopefully a company out there gives you a shot. I’ve been driving trucks for 2 years, recently just got accepted to a local milk hauler who was looking for someone that has 2-3 years of experience. I took my chances and applied, the owner said he’d be happy to have his company show me the “tanker ropes”. Good luck with your search! & never be scared to put yourself out there 💪🏽

Hey i work for that company lol. I run 900 miles a day, 4000-5000 miles per week. Ag exempt is where the money is. You are wore the F out at the end of the week though

Work at milk plant batavia,ny. Receiver night shift average 2 millions pounds a day. Weekend 3 millions. Average trucks hauls 70000 lbs just milk.

102,000lbs roughly some states can be more like 107k this is entire truck and trailer. I’m a location supervisor/driver for Dairy Farmers of America. Just make sure you have your overload permits lol

Do they have automatic transmission? Do you have to manually unload tanker with hoses? And do you have to climb up on top of tanker to open/close lid?

They didn't have automatics when I was there... They might now.. It's not manual load and you don't have to climb up top..

I have hauled produce loads that are more tippy than tanker... The front to rear surge is something to get used to... Mainly stopping is a little different, but you will get used to it...

do they not pay o.t.with your company? the company im going to work for doesnt because it agricultural. I dont know if they arent allowed to or they claim it to avoid paying it. thats for hourly but ill be doing otr like i posted earlier.

I get payed by the mile, so I am not sure about overtime. I know the local milk haulers around here get a flat day rate of $290 per day.

They have 3 divisions... Midwest Dairy Transport Thats Milk... Midwest Direct Transport Thats freight... Absolute Transport That one I am not sure if I can say because of confidentiality agreements....

The money depends on who you are working for and what runs they have you on..... I made excellent money... I have a video called Milk Money that shows my checks.... 2k to 3k in 5 to 8 days out...

@@mikesan420 I was making $2,600 gross in 6 to 7 days on the road. But I was on a dedicated drop and hook run... I believe that the regular runs pay around $2,000 in 6 days... You gotta work for it though.. I was doing around 4,700 miles in 6 to 7 days... Agriculture Exempt..

In your opinion, how many hours of work would this require after all expenses are thrown into the equation? Is that feasible? I will own my own brand new truck outright
