I can't believe you are finally playing Bloodborne. This was my first fromsoft game i played and absolutely the one i fell in love with. From the gameplay to the setting, story, lovecraftian elements etc. this game is just phenomenal in every sense. The DLC is one of the best DLCs I've ever played in any game. Game is truly a masterpiece

Some tips: - Visceral attacks are incredibly useful and downright necessary to learn in some instances. You can do them in two ways. A) Either walk up silently behind an enemy, hold R2 until it pings and let go. If you hit the enemy, it will cause them to "stagger", after which you simply press an R1 (while standing close to the enemy) and it will do a visceral attack. B) Using the gun. During a fight, you can "parry" enemies with the gun, just like you could with a shield in Elden Ring. Basically it comes down to timing, you need to find not only the attack window when they're "parry-able" but also the distance your bullet travels. Some enemies are quite easy to learn this on. After you hit them with the bullet and it lands in that window of time, they will stagger once more, and then you just either walk up to them or dodge up to them (if you're locked on) to visceral attack them. Be mindful tho, this only works mostly on enemies that are roughly your size or somewhat bigger. It does work for instance on those trolls you saw. - If you take damage, the healthbar stays for a bit at where it was, just slightly more orange. This is recoverable by attacking the enemy back within those few seconds that that health is still there. This is REALLY helpful to save you from having to heal and promotes aggressive playstyles - You already found one door, but multiple doors and sometimes windows can be interacted with to talk with the person behind it c: They might tell you a bit about what's happening or scold you, either or ;) That should get you started somewhat, I don't really wanna give away too much because a lot of fun comes from discovering how to play. But these are pretty much quintessential to know for any BB player and a lot of them miss it due to not reading all the notes

Oh my god oh my god, it’s finally happening!! I’ve been waiting on this for so long. Edit: Hollow, I’ve just finished this episode, your skill is far beyond mine when I started this game. Try not to get discouraged as this game can get quite difficult, but it is so rewarding.

this clown literally gives up every souls game he picks up lmao, he only beat ER by either overleveling+mimic or had someone else play it for him

Some tips : In this game you can't crouch if you want to be stealthy just walk slow , equipping your firearm doesn't make you slower, your transformed weapon have different movesets and range, there are combos if you attack with regular weapon then transform the weapon like r1 + r1 + l1, your blood vials dont fill up when you die, if you are killed by an enemy your blood echoes/runes is consumed by them and you have to kill them to obtain it back 👍🏼

You're doing better than I did on my first play through, I found this game so so difficult at first and now I casually beat it 5 times a year for fun it's a masterpiece. All I'll say is don't back up, play super aggressively and you'll have a much better time. Also the pistol is less about damage and more for parrying, which is way easier here than it is in Elden Ring, parrying is a core mechanic in Bloodborne. Good luck.

I never parried, ever. I thought it was difficult so I played the whole thing without it. Damn. Wish I had tried a little harder, would have made my life so much easier. And yet I feel like it might be more rewarding now to replay it with the intions of doing it all the time like this.

I played this game for 4 hours and couldn’t get trough the dog and didin’t even know what to do i was so lost…people say its a masterpiece but i don’t enjoy it that much

Good thing you are playing this. It will be a blast. Tips: Charge attack in the back, then light = backstab Blood vials are not like estus flash, you need to collect them in order to have them, same for the bullets. They go to your inventory if you are full (20) No crouching in the game Locations missed: At your first proper lamp go right then always take left (there are other missed locations, but youll might find them) No map in the game One of the most important tip in soulsgames: always listen to every dialog of an npc (press x to talk to them until they repeat the same dialog)

Please play through this game. It is most definitely worth it, especially with the expansive lore attached to it.

Just wanna say, appreciate your grind Hollow. Love you going into different games and giving them a chance. Keep it up, will be here to support all the way

For your first time playing this I’m impressed it took me a few hours to learn some of the stuff you can do.

Ahh so psyched you’re playing this!! 😆 I think you’re doing a great job considering it’s your first time playing this!

Some tips for you Hollow -Use Items by equipping them in the options menu (they are at the very bottom and you have six slots for them in which you have to manually equip an item in each one) for an example you can use pebbles to lure enemies and pick them off separately -molotov cocktails are very effective against beasts -You can use coldblood dew to gain blood echoes even when you are in the Hunter's Dream -Don't forget to upgrade your weapon in the Hunter's Dream using blood echoes and blood stone shards -Backstab the big guys with a charge-up R2 and follow up with a visceral using R1 -Always check your corners

Please play more bloodborne! I’ve completed the game a couple months ago, it was pretty frustrating but it was a whole experience. Really worth the time and effort

Tips: The pistol is for parrying. Insight is a type of currency in the game to buy items and it’s used also ring the bell for help from other players. You can consume coldblood dew like madmans knowledge for blood echoes. Bold hunter mark makes you respawn at the last lamp but without losing any blood echoes ( the enemies respawn). You can upgrade your weapons at the workshop in the hunters dream inside the library up the stairs by using blood stone shards. You can equip quick items from options button and use them by square(like molotov) The main path is through the wolves in cages.so explore other places except this one keep for last.

love the video man, you are my inspiration! if you wanna continue the lets play I and many people will watch it through and through, but if you dont want to delve into another beast then we totally get it. keep up the awesome vids!

This is worth the time sink, Hollow. I got into this on release day and it's my first Souls game and I have never regretted that decision. The Bram Stoker's Dracula/Van Helsing aesthetics got me interested but there is oh so much more than that the longer you play, and you will love it.

I started this game just this past week and I’m new to souls too! It’s very frustrating at the beginning because you simply don’t know what to do or how but it is so worth it. Just take a break when you feel overwhelmed by the enemies or bosses and try it later. For now pass the big wolfs, they’re too tough for your level. Farm a little, go back to the hunters dream and upgrade your strength and Vit plus the stamina. Also you can use R1 to deploy your axe and take longer and charged/backstabbing critical swipes. Mucha suerte Hollow, ánimo en la caza!!!

Bloodborne was such an amazing game. It's a game that came out of nowhere and we were spoiled honestly

My best tips would be : 1)windows and doors that have light behind them or a red lantern next to them usually mean you can interact with them and although some are just dialogue others are actually worth it and have something more to them. 2) Try to explore as much as possible and that includes back tracking. You’ll memorize the map that way too. 3) you have multiple different types of attacks like dodge attacks, jump attacks so on so forth. That’s it and hope you enjoy the game the rest I’m sure you’ll learn by yourself by playing. And I highly recommend playing th3 dlc maybe not on the first play through but the dlc is where the difficulty skyrockets like crazy

Bloodborne was my first From Software game and it really opened my eyes. I think your first full Souls experience will always be the most difficult so watching you play through this now from where you started with Elden Ring is completely different. I think what's so great about Elden Ring is that it opened up these games to so many more people where they can dive into what came before and not be overwhelmed. The challenges will always be there but once you understand it the difficulty never feels like a burden.

I’m stoked to watch you play this. It’s genuinely my favorite game of all time. From story, to gameplay to the world! It is a beautifully crafted experience. I’d love a full series! Enjoy!

Quick tip:s Quicksilver bullets and Blood vials are a finite resource. Meaning, if you run out of 'em you're gonna have to either buy more or fram some. plus bullets are not necessarily meant for damage (Unless you invest in a specific stat or build), use them sparingly as they're meant for parrying. IMPORTANT : Windows and doors with lanterns next to them means there's an NPC inside that you can talk to. back track and see if you can spot any you can talk to. Also, Exhaust NPCs dialogue it's how you further their questline Good luck man man and may the good blood guide your way!

My first ever souls type of game. I have played it 3 times and got the platinum trophy. I hope you will continue playing this as series👍

Glad you picked this up. It’s my favorite fromsoft game and the first one I played. It made my play style much more aggressive for the other games. I hope you continue it. It’s one game I can play over and over again. The weapons are just super fun to use. Be sure to see the whole moveset of them. You can combo the r1’s into L1’s and back to r1’s. There are jump attacks also. Running attacks with r1’s or r2’s. Dodging into attacks. The weapon variety in this game is much better than the other games with the trick weapons using the L1’s. After this you should do demons souls remake.

Honestly you are doing pretty fine!! More than fine, this was my first souls game and damn, since I didn’t knew any mecanics or how this is supposed to be play I went through hell, after that I platium the game and start playing the others souls game too, but didn’t find them so difficult like this, once the mecanics is know is more easy, but never simple, this is magic

@@thetinypotatobun I used a Strength build with my main weapons being Nightrider Glaive with Sword Dance, Banished Knight Halberd with Flame Strike, Claymore with Storm Stomp, Great Stars with Prelates Charge, UGS with Giant Hunt, Zwei with Giant Hunt, Scythe with Phantom Slash, and Godskin Stitcher with Royal Resolve. I didn't use any summons aside from the multitude in the Radahn fight because I kept getting one shotted by bs. I never used any broken weapons or AoW's in PvE or PvP. The only boss that took me over 10 attempts was Radahn. I finished the game at RL 125 with 107 hours.

You are doing amazingly well. I can’t believe how far you made it without dying. It’s just that you didn’t go back to the Hunter’s Dream to level up. Worth doing whenever you get a shortcut. Or use a Hunter’s Mark to do it. Your training in Elden Ring will serve you well.

I've been playing this for a year and a half on my first playthrough. Halfway through chalice dungeons before endgame. I'm going to scum save after this so I can get all 3 endings using the umbilical cords. It's been a wild ride and hope you continue to get better!

I’m so happy you’re playing this! You’re going to really appreciate it especially if you loved Elden Ring. Make sure you get the DLC too. Note: Explore as much as you can. The maps are overwhelmingly big but the rewards you find are worth it. Also, take some time to research different sidequests that you can do.

Excited for more bloodborne!!, btw id highly recommended to always talk to npc’s till they run out of more dialogue and start repeating themselves at the end of them, there’s questlines among them in this game and some can give rewards in the end and some can have consequences if you say the wrong thing or do in the questline, for example the coughing man is at the window where the hunters lamp is by the shortcut. once in a while talk to him everytime you playthrough he will give you a little something :) the red numbers by your silver bullets is extra but at the cost of hp, I hope you keep playing on!! Another thing, Beasts (I call them werewolves) don’t like fire :) Game on hollow🤘🏼
