VOB Ba/Che/prot meaning noisy in Sundanese, they Frida sings in English and Sundanese they have released the debut album the end of last year called "Retas" and it is a phenomenal one. School Revolution is on the album and it is the only album they have out, before any more originals they did a massive amount of covers.

Just called them.. MARSYA - Vocalist, Guitarist Lyricist, Song Writer, Band Leader. SITTI - Drummer (pronounce sound - CITY) WIDI - Bass (Pronounce sound - WE-DEE) 😊

This is a fantastic band, and are one of the most vital currently. I'd look out for some of their great live performances, which mix originals and great covers. I have to say, Widi stands out as a monster bass player, but Sitti is a fantastic drummer, and Marsya really cooks on the guitar of course.

They recorded this while they were still in high school. Yes, they parallel The Warning in some ways, very different in other ways. This mix is identical or very close to the track on their later album. With regard to the style and the composition - Marsya (the guitarist and singer) is billed as the lyricist. Marsya, Sitti (the drummer) and Widi (the bassist) all have different tastes in the music they listen to, so what comes out is kinduva rap/punk/funk/metal fusion. Not to everybody's taste, but I love the heck out of it. Saw them live in Boston (they've toured Europe twice, America once, have done some gigs in the Far East).

As a BALADCEPROT (VOB Fan Base), I (we) really Appreciate You ... We can start to dive and take a journey together with VOB ... I always tell 4 Points to everyone or Reactor who new to VOB that they should know ... Backstory Life - Music and Lyric - Skill and Talent - Attitude ... Most of their original songs are based on their experience life ... Little FACT : When you were 14-15 yo ... Being little girls wearing hijab ... Raising in poor family ... Living in the small village ... Going to school by walking about 2-3 hours everyday ... No internet connection ... Do not know about musical instrument ... Got bullied and persecutions ... No support at all from family, everyone and society ... So you really need extra ordinary FAITH and BRAVERY ... And that is VOB !!! And in my humble opinion VOB is just like KIDS who feel confusing why there's so many chaos, injustices, intolerance, and so many more bad things in the world ... They just try to think a simple mind that why can't we just doing some nice and good things in this world ... So, all they can do now is SCREAMING Out Loud by their Music and Lyrics and WISHING everyone will listen to and think about all of these ... NEWS FACT : Since its inception, VOB has been : 1. The subject of discussion for a number of major global media outlets, including The New York Times, NPR, BBC, DW and The Guardian, who feature them on their online publications pages. 2. British Popular Music Magazine, NME (New Musical Express) has released a list of 100 Newcomer Artists who will conquer 2023 with VOB in the list. 3. Rock Magazine Metal "Hammer" said VOB as "The Metal Band The World Needs Today" 4. VOB is written in Germany Book "Change Is Female" as one of 28 Inspirative Woman in the world. 5. VoB is by far my main obsession, but another Gen Z band that I picked up from other VoB fans: Atarashii Gakko (新しい学校のリーダーズ). Seishun wo kirisaku hado (青春を切り裂く波動) is a good place to start (but don't expect the vibe to be repeated - stylistically, they're all over the place). They're very different from VoB, but have that same frenetic grrl power energy, and (like VoB) present themselves in a kinda modest, old-fashioned way (with a twist). Interestingly, in an interview, VoB cited Atarashii Gakko as the group they most want to work with on some kind of collaborative project.

There are a lot of bad videos of Mighty Island on youtube. The best one I've found for sound and video quality is @zonaulin's (search youtube for: @zonaulin voice of baceprot mighty island). If anybody knows of a better version, please reply here. (I've been listening to Mighty Island again and again and again. I love it so much)
