The funny thing is that they had 3 comebacks in 2020 and the other two were completely different. The first one of 2020 (Crossroad) was probably the most "Gfriend" Song out of all 3. Because of the concept also it is/was their signature Sound.

Mago here may not be referring to magic (though that is one definition). Mago in Korean mythology is the goddess of creation and connection. I think it's more about being who they are, connecting to the person they see in the mirror, and not being afraid to be judged for their genuine selves.

I think that you would find it really useful if you did a reaction to a guide to GFriend which will help you identify the members, get a taste of their very different personalities and talents and introduce you to their vocal potential. Not only will this help you with your future reactions to GFriend but it will also make you better prepared to enjoy Yuju and VIVIZ in the future. The best guide in my opinion is A Guide to GFriend 2020. I suggest you watch Apple next which is the precursor to Mago. This is where they are seduced by the Song of the Sirens (the album title) and submit to temptation leading them to become witches. In Mago they are already modern day witches which helps explain some of the lyrics.

Bubblegum pop. I thought they're that type of group too at first but Hahah dudeee they're not even close to bubble gum pop. They're known for their unique sound in the Kpop industry. They mostly to always incorporate classical instrument in their sounds. They're an orchestral pop group and their songs sounds like anime opening.
