When ichang said big No when Jimmy suggested going for fastfood... LoL, I totally agree with ichang .. when you travel you need to taste the local food, fastfood you can get anytime but unique local food is main point of travelling and vacationing...

try "Kerabu Bronok" an exotic local Langkawian cuisine.. you can get this dish in Siti Fatimah or Kak Yan Nasi Campur restaurants

So bad the restaurant closed during Sunday. Proof that many people there still value work life balance. they're comfortable enough to close during public holidays

For lunch you should try nasik campur from KAK YAN NASI CAMPUR, ulu melaka. Signature dish - kerabu bronok. For makan petang - cucur udang from Kedai Maksu ( located close to pasar borong KUAH). Galeri perdana ( KILIM, KUAH), muzium padi are Recomended to visit. AND do visit to PULAU TUBA ( suasana tersangatlah kampung, for breakfast, you can try kedai makan paksu)

Plan D worked out for the best, your food looked incredible and what a beautiful hotel and grounds to enjoy walking around

You guys need to try Kak Yan Nasi Melayu! Was in Langkawi for 4 days, my friends and I went there 3 times 😅😅 Choices there are abundant and the food is good!!

You should come to Perak and eat our specialty which is Rendang Tok! I recommend you to go to Kuala Kangsar and eat it at Rumah Rendang Tok Yeop. You can get lemang and ketupat all year round there as well 😬 (Tip: go during weekdays as it can get pretty full on weekends)

I went to Langkawi with my whole family during Langkawi Travel Bubble (during Covid19 time). The first and only holiday opened during that time. After matching ur video, it makes me want to return to Langkawi. A lot of great food in Langkawi.

It's been quite a while since I have visited Langkawi. Recommend to visit pantai chenang area and kuah town for local food.

Hi IChang the long & huge fish (other than shark) is named ikan tenggiri. if you’re thinking to cook asam pedas again next time, try this fish. the flesh is soft & sedaap..it won’t hardened. i guarantee😂.

Ichang there is a Japanese Sushi shop in Langkawi owned by a Japanese auntie. In case both of you guys are interested to review her shop ❤❤❤

The Danna Langkawi is the best, had my chance to stay at the villa for free from my company's lucky draw. Very high class and their breakfast buffet is superb.

There are so much tourist trap in langkawi.. even for locals.. langkawi back then was affordable.. nowadays are not so affordable.. especially eateries.. be careful 😂

Jimmy has the ability to make everything he eats salivating us 😂 And Ichang, I love your batik purchase. You look stunning in soft colours clothes like yellow

From breakfast time walk & travel until lunch only able to get to eat.. 😂😂 akhirnya kena pergi makan kat hotel restoran. Apa dah jadi dengan Langkawi sekarang? Mengapa semua kedai makan tutup? Patutlah ramai kawan pilih pergi Thailand pun tak nak pergi Langkawi.

Your plan D is Danna Hotel. I stayed there few nights last year. Actually there is a good rojak place - Hafiz Rojak just next to Danna. U at the beach in front of Danna just walk 5-10 mins & u will see hafiz rojak food truck and also warung selling food & young coconuts

Laksa Ikan Sekoq is a must when u visit Langkawi. And you can visit Koh Lipe Island (Maldives of Thailand) from Langkawi....just take a ferry from Telaga Jetty.... it's only a 1 hour journey.

I must say, you can also try any warong or restaurant along any road in Langkawi. Each one of them do have such a unique kampong/hometown taste..lovely😍

Take a boat trip to pulau tuba and have some mee udang there...just rent motorcyle rm30 for day trip...

So sorry guys, I think they’re close because of off season. I recommend you find the kampung restaurants instead, it is a little bit off the main road but open most of the times cuz that is where the locals would go to eat. Kerabu bronok - sea cucumber salad is one of the local specialties, i still have not able to find it yet cuz probably is seasonal or not that many people make the dish anymore. Maybe you can find it and try lol The pasar malam near the airport is interesting as well, got a lot of thai influences - sticky rice sausage, somtam etc. If you are staying near Cenang, I recommend Lubuk buaya. They have a lot of local options, the price is reasonable too. They open in the evening onwards. One of my favorite place to go during internship.

Hi Jimmy and Ichang, I think you should rent a car in Langkawi the price a bit cheap and the prices could be higher if it’s school holidays, and you can look for the car or motorbike to rent anywhere in Langkawi, I think because Langkawi is popular among locals and travelers it is very easy for you to find reasonable price for hotel and car rental shops for the visitors to rent..just rent Viva or Saga or Bezza because I saw you travel a lot from one place to another..we as local also prefer to rent a car if in Langkawi so that we can easily travel and shopping around Langkawi..

Agreed....iChang-Jimmy, you should rent a car instead. If you use Grab every single time to go around Langkawi, to find food, sight-seeing and stuff, it will cost more.

I remember going to piano class in the late 90s at the area around the supermarket....back then kamdar has been around....also back then whenever i want fish and chips, I will go to langkawi yacht club's restaurant Charlie's place...wonder if it's still around...

you can go for dinner at shellout at Pantai Cenang...my favourite shellout so far at Langkawi😊😊

Gulai may be taste a bit like curry b'coz there is part of curry spices like cumin is used + other herbs like lemongrass, galanggal, ginger, santan, etc....my mom used to cook gulai jack fruit.yumm

Try eat at Kak Yan Nasi Campur, Nasi Dagang Pak Malau, Restauran Wan Thai. Also u can go to night market at kuah(biggest night market) on saturday/wednesday only. Bihun sup utara are so good at the night market

i've been living for 20 years in langkawi i never eat in hotel because of the price. Also i got my owned boats to fishing but langkawi seas quite dangerous got typhoon inside the water so you had to contact professional navigator to fishing in langkawi using sonar radar.
