I often go to Malmö. I love the entire region of Lund. The vibe is very Copenhagenish. Except that people are sweeter in Malmö. Stockholm is alienating to me. I don't know why though. The city do have the best vintage shops.

The Citizens in Christiania have asked the Police for help. The gangs that sold/sell the hash, were getting very violent. Last year a person was killed, then the community decided to ask for help, something that would have unthinkable 10 years ago. The community themselves “destroyed” Pusherstreet, they took up the stones, kind of symbolic, you might have noticed it. The mall you have been in, was Fields. Here we had the one and only mass shooting. A sick man opened fire, killed 3 people. But police were extremely fast, they arrested him 13 minutes after the alarm. They shot and wounded him, police do not necessarily shoot to kill here. He is now on psychiatric hospital. Now it is up to the doctors.

Hi Dar. Glad you enjoy Copenhagen and yes sad you don’t have more time as it’s a fantastic city. When a cyclist raises the hand like you said it’s to let the cyclist behind him know that’s he’s stopping 😊 You did pronounce Nyhavn pretty good well done cause it’s not easy 🙏🏻 Pusher street is thankfully gone now from Christiania that’s the street where they used to sell drugs but not anymore. However yes there’s still people smoking cannabis and stuff but not compared to what it used to be. Hopefully you’ll get to see a bit more before you go back home if not have a safe trip back to the states.

Stockholm is different from most other parts of Sweden when it comes to how people communicate. (And Sweden is also one of the happiest countries in the world, Denmark is just a couple of points higher up😊). I just listened to a girl from the southern parts of the US talk about New York and she felt that people didnt talk to each other in NY, didnt say excuse me when they bumped in to someone etc. Thats almost exactly how I’ve heard people from the south of Sweden (were I live) talk about people in Stockholm😅 Fun to follow you on your trip😊

And the square grey Building, with slits, in the beginning, is the Danish National Bank, made by Famous Architect and Designer: Arne Jacobsen, also of "Eeg Chair" Fame. And the Mermaid is the size of a Mermaid, of course!

If you decide to come back some day, you might also go to Odense. Odense is the hometown of Hans Christian Andersen, who wrote the little mermaide, the ugly duckling, and many more. There are many lovely cozy townhouses in Odense. Also if you go to the southern parts, close to the german border, there’s so much history. Dybbøl Mølle - I was born and raised on a farm there - with the war in 1864 - among many - where we lost southern Jutland and got occupied by the Germans for 56 years. There’s a lot of reading material if you want to know more about our history😊 There’s Ribe, the oldest city in Denmark. I could go on for a long time😂 But why don’t you just return and see for yourself😁❤
