MY FIRST TIME IN BEIJING CHINA! - 2023
Ойын-сауық
Come with me on my few days in Beijing where I go to The Forbidden City, Great Wall, Summer Palace & More!!
Beijing is amazing, so full of history and culture. I had a lot of fun in the city and felt like I was in a dream when I was in The Forbidden City & Summer Palace especially! Incredible architecture and artifacts all around you, huge courtyards and designs engraved on the walls.
It was such an honor to wear my hanfu in the Summer Palace, I felt so happy that people came up to me and asked to take some photos! :)
More videos coming soon from Wuhan, Hangzhou & Shenzhen :)!
Thanks for watching friends!

They’re so amazing!
I had lived in Beijing for almost 7 years and moved to Canada in January this year. The Xiangshan park and Yuyuantan park is the best to me. I'm missing Beijing a lot:( There are beautiful views and delicious food, especially street food at Nanluoguxiang street where near to Tiananmen square. When I was in China, I went to the great wall every month, even it is far away from the downtown Beijing. I hope you enjoy your trip in Beijing.🙂

@@cel5365 that’s amazing! Having even a small foundation of mandarin when you go will be very helpful! I would love to also study mandarin at a Uni in China if ever possible 😎 I just did some basic study with hsk books at home during some months of the lockdown haha

@@Chrisiannelli26 it actually seems surprisingly affordable, I’ve been looking into Tianjin University and Zhejiang University of Science and Technology, both have non-degree language programs that cost less than 1k USD per semester and the accommodation also seems very affordable, at Tianjin its $3-7 per day (depending on roommate quantity and which dorm), and at ZUST it’s $55-166 per month. Both are in tier 2 cities that are next to Beijing and Shanghai respectively (Tianjin and Hangzhou). I’m leaning towards Tianjin because it seems like a better university so there’s more information about their program and I guess the facilities must be better plus afaik in Beijing most people speak standard Mandarin, but ZUST is the cheapest. Also, Zhejiang seems very pretty, it has many beautiful cities, China is just full of beautiful places and it’s so big 😭 Which city did you enjoy the most between Beijing and Shanghai?

@@cel5365 If you would like to study in China, I would recommend you go the Beijing Language and Culture University where is in Beijing. It is famous for people to learn Chinese. My husband went there 1 year to learn Chinese, and now he is really good at Chinese and can easy understand daily talking.
If you go to the temple of heaven in the morning you would see many seniors working out and having fun there😊

Beijing - Forbidden City, City walk to Tiananmen & Museum next to Tiananmen, finshed day with city walk. Next day early morning got tour bus to The great wall & stayed till afternoon, back to hotel and city walk/meet friends. The next day Summer Palace from morning till late afternoon because boat ride around the lake :) - Spent the rest of the evening eating/city walks and parks, finishing in the Temple of Heaven. Final day eating and packing before catching the train to Wuhan. Shanghai was more just city exploration - We went to The Bund morning, city walk -> Yu Garden spent a long time here -> finished with dinner and Bund again night view. Following days were walking around city/shopping/eating and visiting the Aquarium in Liujiazui area :) We met a lot of friends and walk to some historical areas and some hipster neighbourhoods too. Hangzhou was very beautiful but we only had2 days there. We spent the first day going out for dinner with friends and walking around the city, especially the river with the light show. Following day went to the famous West Lake, explored here and rented the small boat for a 2hour tour around the lake. That evening we met our friend and went to the Buddhist Temple FaXi which was incredible, totally worth visiting! Finished with more city walking and food :D

Hi there! thank you for the video! I will go to Beijing soon and try to browse good restaurants where the duck is served. the one you show here is - any chance to know the name in Eng? I do not speak Chinese at all, but the place looks so lovely,,

Hi :) This restaurant is called Siji Minfu, you can google it before you go, you will find more info on their locations within Beijing. They have a few restaurants but it's very popular and busy! :) There are plenty of roast duck places in Beijing, you will see them whenever you're wandering around the city :D I hope you have a great time there like I did!

how were u able to order food to the train?
@Chrisiannelli26
3 ай бұрын
You can scan the qr code on the train and there is a function to see the restaurants that can deliver to your train at the next stop. You usually have a short timeframe to place your order so it can be made in time for you. You just pay and put your seat number and at the next stop the food will be brought to your seat :)

Hi thanks for commenting. I used Alipay when I was in China & rarely used cash(Chinese yuan). I connected my overseas Visa card to my Alipay and had very few issues paying in places. Also my partner did a lot of the payments in some confusing restaurants since it was easier that way lol as for the SIM card, my partner got me one. You can go to some Chinese telecom stores to buy a data only sim card if that helps and it should be easy. Otherwise you can take a look at NiHao Mobile Sim as I heard it’s great for foreigners/expats to get their sim card before they arrive this way :)
