Gregory knew what his fate would be and sang this song shortly before dying at the age of 23 in 2007 while waiting for a lung transplant. Dimash later sang the song in memory of his friend, champion Kazakh figure skater, Denis Ten, who was murdered at the age of 25 by hoodlums stealing parts off of his car. The song is heartfelt every time Dimash sings it, both by Dimash and by his fans.

He does compose the music a few times. He speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, and is still studying English and Mandarin, his English is much better than Mandarin. He can sing in 13 different languages, plays multiple instruments. He hasn't done a metal song....yet, but does rap (in Kazakh). Dimash's talent transcends different genre of music. If you follow his musical journey the 2017 Chinese Show "I Am Singer" is where to start, but if you want to go off the beaten path, Durdaraz, Kieli Meken, Amanat, Love is Like a Dream, Be with Me, Zhalyn, Okay. MVs or live performances, they don't disappoint.

I'm also not a rap fan, but in Kazakh or maybe just Dimash's voice, I like it and some Chinese rap singers, i feel it flows well. I totally hate Japanese rap, it sounds terrible.
